Maybe on the way back through Rawlins, WY I will find a treasure here. As for Rawlins, WY itself, there were indeed many surprises in store while being stuck overnight as the only safe road was shut. Some highlights included: -a grocery store which also sells guns -snow drifts and 20 degree weather with insane wind making it much colder -the only supermarket in town which actually has a lot of vegan items And the highlight: The dollar store, apart from being the most bangin' place in town outside of the bar and drive-up liquor store, had it's own personal greeter: a massive white guy in a pickup truck blasting some charming music, which contained multiple racial epithets (Johnny Rebel's "N***** Hatin' Me," I'll just leave you to look up those lyrics if you are interested, but I wouldn't recommend it). No ironic racism here! Awesome! Can't wait to go back, Rawlins, WY!

The selection is a little limited, but the owner will order anything you want. He keeps a good variety of wines on hand. He does a good job at bringing in new and different wines and will match your tastes with a good bottle (even if he needs to order it for you). I highly recommend stopping by if you need something while in Encampment.

I walked to the order desk to be met by a very surly woman who doesn't greet you, doesn't smile, looks like she really wants to be somewhere else. I place my order, give her a tip and go and wait at pickup. I go over to the pickup area, and I wait. The person making the coffee put a drink out with a receipt, but didn't call out a name so I went over to read the receipt which says "server:" and the person's name. I don't know why they're calling the customer "server" but whatever. So I go back to wait, she calls my name. I go over and take the drink that she said was mine. I leave. I'm on the road. I start to drink my drink and it tastes like tepid milk. I take the top off. It's a cappuccino. Just one problem: I didn't order a cappuccino and if I had, I would've been really disappointed in this one because it was super weak. I don't even think a double shot would've helped. I make better cappuccinos at home. It's not even remotely hot. And there's barely a hint of coffee flavor. If this is what Saratoga considers great coffee they need to get out a little more.
