The cook Carlos was nothing but rude to her, he messed up on my omelette and put jalapeños on it. He then refused to remake it, refused to get us our extra order of sausage after she asked repeatedly. The people across from use had requested sausage in his omelette and didn't get it. I'm not sure that we will go back with a cook like that, he is bad for business and poor Patty didn't deserve to be treated like she was. I know she was embarrassed and was trying hard to help everyone. There were several other parties there eating at the time as he was refusing to correct his mistakes. Food was okay, presentation was poor and if I were an owner I would not tolerate disrespect towards customers and staff.

Now, let me say...put this in the class of truck stops for a dining experience....the food is pretty good...and a great value for the money! I have to start with that ham slice. Gosh dang, was it big! They said a pound....but I think it was over 1 1/2 lbs. a good piece of ham, that wasn't all salty. The soup and chili. Hey...these came off the salad bar...and I think they had a 3rd soup to choose from. All pretty good! The biscuit and gravy. (Not) the best I've ever had...but it's a solid performer nonetheless. When we asked about it, we were told the whiteboard price reflected inflation, but it was a little confusing since the menu hadn't been updated. Also, the pie didn't have meringue on the entire piece, which was a bit disappointing. The chicken from the bar wasn't up to temperature (although the fish was), and the hamburger was very dry and had a cardboard-like texture. I personally found most of the food to be overly salty, but that may just be my preference. We also noticed the customers ahead of us returned their chicken sandwich because it was undercooked. That said, the atmosphere was fantastic--watching the plane take off was a really cool experience! We also appreciated being sent home with drinks to go, and our server was very kind and knowledgeable about the menu.

I took the food back to the kitchen and they said they would make a new sandwich. that sandwich came out with the smallest piece of chicken and so over cooked the breaded coating was a hard shell. my husbands hamburger was tasteless and he had the same overly greasy fries. so disappointed as I wanted to try out a cute restaurant located on a landing strip. will not be going back.
