It is not easy to find Uzbek cuisine in America, espeically in smaller towns like Myrtle Beach…read more This one is thus a surprising addtion to the international dining experience at the beach. This hidden gem is located on Kings Hwy, with exotic decor inside and many big tables for large group dining. I went there two times during my three-day visit to MB. Tried their Grilled quails, Uzbek bread, Uzbek mushroom soup, and of course, Lamb pilaf. Overall, the seasoning of dishes are not as heavy as most restaurants, but more homemade-style, especially the grilled stuff like that quail and side of veggie. Simple, not salty, but full of the flavor from the ingredients -- the umami of quail meat, the sweetness of peppers, sweet-bitterness of brussels sprouts, etc. The staff told me that his mom cooked the food lol. For other things, the Uzbek bread look like a huge bagel, had very desne texture, but its outside was crispier than bagels. The mushroom soup had a special flavor from possibly some herbs. The Lamb pilaf was delicious and filling: six chuncks of fork-tender meat, lots of perfectly cooked rice soaked in lamb fat, and refreshing carrot slices. I wish there could be yellow carrots as well, but the staff told me that it was difficult to get them in MB. The restaurant undoubtedly did not have a "good" dining vibe for me because it was too quiet. In fact, I was the only customer in the restaurant the second time I visited it. I was told that during tourist seasons the restaurant is packed with ppl but I doubt it. Anyway, it is a restaurant worth trying in MB if you are looking for some special dining experience there.

The servers are nice, and they were helpful in learning about the dishes. Their food takes a lot of time to make, so they may not have everything available on the menu. We started with the pierogies and eggplant caviar. Both appetizers were delicious, and you could tell they were homemade. We love pierogi and thought these were excellent. I was originally going to try a lamb pilaf dish, but they only had one left, so I ordered the borscht. The style they serve is a hot vegetarian variety. It was delicious and very hearty. My son had the beef kabob with rice and fries. The meat was flavorful, as were the sides. The rice has a ton of flavor, and they serve their dishes with a yummy tomato dipping sauce. We were too ful for dessert, but we will try them in the future.

You're not going to have a huge selection of restaurants, and often what you find will just be fast food. When I can, I like to try out a little of the local flavor, even if it is just a simple sandwich or meat and two place like this one. Pulling into Bennettsville, it had that small hometown feel, and I knew there had to be a good local place to have lunch. It being a Monday provided some obstacle, but we eventually found Southern Delights open and ready for business. When we arrived, it was nice to see a good local crowd enjoying them for lunch. Our server was buzzing around from table to table with haste, and was very nice, probably too over apologetic for any wait. She did a great job. There is a lot to enjoy here, plenty of country style cooking and an extensive sandwich menu. The prices are very reasonable. It's the kind of place that serves their community, not trying to be fancy, just good food and service! I decided to go with a club sandwich and onion rings, while my wife went for the reuben and fries. My club sandwich was good, and the onion rings were great. Perfectly crispy. The club had an ample amount of meat, though I'd have liked to have seen a different size bread. With the sandwich quartered, the basic sandwich slice white bread made the pieces a little unruly. Or maybe just cut it in half (though i know a club is traditionally quartered). My wife really enjoyed here reuben, cole slaw instead of kraut, and her fries were cooked perfectly. Generous portion on both the fries and onion rings which you love to see. Our tea was also spot on, just enough sweet to make a perfectly balanced half and half. Overall, is this place going to blow you away? No. But I am definitely giving it a 5 for knowing exactly what it is, and executing in a way you'll be happy with if you visit. If I ever pass through again and need a bite, I know where to go!

Wonderful service, got a table right away and waiter came by immediately to take drinks and appetizer order and go over specials of the day. I liked the interior layout and that you can watch the chefs prepare entrees while you dine. That alone can be entertaining if you are dining alone. Reminded me of Ted's Montana Grill. Now for the food..., everything came out quickly. We got the deviled eggs, and New Orleans Shrimp as appetizers and the flavors were amazing. I simply had to use the corn bread to dip up the New Orleans sauce after the shrimp were gone, it was had good! After appetizers I didn't want a large meal, so I got the daily scallops special. It was just the right amount. The scallops were grilled just right, and the sauce (the sauce again!) was flavorful with a mild spice kick to it. Blueberry sorbet for dessert, locally made. Will definitely be back when my travels take me back to Florence.

While staying at the Hyatt Place, we were happy to visit Town Hall restaurant which is directly diagonal across the street. The restaurant is very attractive and modern - it appears that Florence is going through somewhat of a Renaissance, and they are developing around some very nice hotels and restaurants, complemented by a small town feel. At this restaurant, there is apparently a rooftop bar/patio, we enjoyed the dining room instead. Our server, Lara quickly approached and offered drinks and some menu suggestions. We wanted to sample many things, so we ordered a number of appetizers rather than going with entrees. Some that I would highly recommend include the cornbread, the seared scallops, and the grilled chicken wings. We also enjoyed some shrimp skewers which were good / not great, and some calamari which is prepared very differently than we're accustomed to - if you do get the calamari, ask first about the preparation. This is a moderately priced restaurant, for us it was about $50 per person, you can certainly get reasonably priced entrees for less, and it may be quite a bit more for people who may be drinking. Since there is a full bar, it appeared that many tables were coming as much for the drinks as they were for the food. If you happen to be in the Florence, SC area, this is certainly a great choice with a beautiful dining area, wonderful service, great food, and a walkable and safe downtown area.

What was to be a quick lunch turned into a fine dining experience…read more We most definitely did not expect the wonderful meal that was to come! Let's start with the location: located right off a main road, Wolcott's is situated in a beautiful homelike building that fits in seamlessly with the feel of the area. It is upscale and classy looking from the exterior, with nice landscaping, deep blue and white features. Walking in the place feels very chic but comfortable. There is a bar and indoor seating, along with a lovely covered porch for dining. We came at a "late lunch" time and received great service (would rate it perfect had she refilled our tea). She was helpful, answered our questions, and made us feel very at home and welcome. Wonderful! Then came the fun! The FOOD! So if you don't know me, I travel the country and eat a LOT of good food. I've also deckhanded for offshore fishing guides and worked at a seafood market... so when I start off by saying the Lobster Bisque was out of this world... I mean it! The lobster bisque was one of the most delicious things I've eaten. The flavor of the lobster was the main feature with rich butter tones and the perfect blend of salty. I ate every bite possible, and I don't do that. My partner ordered the Chicken Kiev. It was beautifully crispy and moist. It came out piping hot and my partner greatly enjoyed it. I tried a bite and it was really good. The lobster Mac n cheese was full of actual lobster bites but I felt like the creaminess you seek with Mac n cheese wasn't there, it was very runny and didn't hold. The flavor was good but the sauce didn't back up calling it Mac n cheese. Now for the dish that was a challenge to win me over: today's special included a Reuben. I am a Reuben connoisseur... I have eaten them all over the country and I will say this was very good. The pastrami had beautifully savory flavor to it, the bread was perfectly crisp (a huge pet peeve of mine!), and the cheese and sauce was beautifully melted and delicious. While I wouldn't say it was the best I ever had, it was extremely good! The thing that won me over on that plate was most definitely the French fries! Holy smokes they had salt, they had flavor, they were crisp but some still squishy (JUST HOW I LIKE!) the parm and seasoning was just perfect. Omg they were good.

Bottle of wine, 1 appetizer, 2 entrees, 2 desserts = $175 not including tip. Complimentary biscuits were not fully cooked - still doughy. Waitstaff said they were "waiting for the biscuits to cook" - totally understandable, but wait 3 more minutes so you don't serve uncooked dough. This is a time management thing for the kitchen: 5:00 reservations = put biscuits in the oven no later than 4:40. Escargot was good. Disappointed that our dirty/empty appetizer plates stayed all over the table so long. This is the difference between "fine dining" & a typical restaurant. Utensils used for appetizers should be removed & replaced for main meal. Just another little detail that sets apart "price is worth it" & "why'd I pay that much?" Steak frites were good. Lamb was good. Desserts were good. Cacao nibs were entirely too hard - I thought I was eating pieces of nut shells. Not enjoyable. Waitress was very friendly, but we did get the feeling that we weren't regulars, so it was ok to not pay attention to us (like remove dirty dishes).

He was SO hospitable, sweet and genuinely welcoming. He gave great recommendations and did not steer us wrong. These days, it's not always easy to come across service like that, which made it even more appreciated. I ordered the Sunset Blush drink and it was delicious. We also got the cornbread and I'm not exaggerating when I say it was the BEST cornbread I've ever had. So soft and flavorful. The brisket sandwich was a little dry (could be because we went during closing) but still had really good flavor. The mac and cheese though... WOW. I am very picky with mac and cheese and most places miss the mark, but this tasted homemade. Easily a 10/10. My husband got the peach bourbon burger and said it was great. The kids ate everything in sight which is always a win...lastly the cinnamon roll cheesecake for dessert... phenomenal!!! Overall such a great experience and I'm really glad we stopped in!

After driving 15 hours on March 21, 2026, my husband and I were genuinely excited to try this place and planned to take our food back to the hotel. Unfortunately, the experience started off poorly and never really recovered. First, parking is extremely limited out front, which is frustrating when you're tired and just want a quick pickup. Inside, things only got worse. The front-of-house staff was shockingly unprofessional. The employee helping us clearly didn't understand her job and had to be corrected multiple times by another staff member--something no customer should have to witness. It created confusion, delays, and zero confidence in our order. We paid about $50 for a sampler, which is not cheap, and yet the same employee argued about giving us the sides because she entered the order incorrectly. If another, more competent employee hadn't stepped in, I'm convinced it would have escalated further. Even then, we never received one of the four sides we paid for. To make matters worse, we were never asked if we wanted drinks to go, and we weren't given plates, silverware, or even BBQ sauce--basic essentials for a takeout order. That's just unacceptable. While waiting, we also watched this same employee tell three separate dine-in families to go sit and wait while she stood there rolling silverware. Completely rude and dismissive. If I had been one of those customers, I would have walked out. This is the first impression customers get, and it's a terrible reflection of how the place is run. Between the disorganization, poor communication, and outright unfriendly behavior, the service was a mess. The only reason this isn't a one-star review is because the food itself was actually very good. The burnt ends and ribs were the standout--absolutely delicious. But great BBQ can't fully make up for such a frustrating and poorly managed customer experience.
