This store is not busy for large portions of the evening yet somehow it's hard for the door watchers to be friendly And it seems like every time they hire a new employee they need to be babied for a month to learn how to provide reasonable customer service.

They've been great recently about having human-staffed checkout aisles available or ready to open--the emphasis on self-checkout used to keep me from shopping here, but not anymore.

In store sub line still sucks and it's still slow, but if you pre-order on the app for pickup it's great 80% of the time now. They did cut the meat portions by like 50% in the last 2 1/2 years,forget things like the extra oil on the side, cut it wrong, forget toppings, skimp on toppings... here and there, but it's better than it was. Sushi: 4.5 stars out of 5. Filling portions have gone down some in the last 2 1/2 years, but quality is still good. It's rare to get old mushy avocado in their sushi now. The aisles appeared wider than normal grocery aisles which made a more comfortable experience also. The staff was helpful and there were sample stations near the prepared food aisles. I left buying more than I needed. It is unfortunate Wegmans is so far from home. I could see myself shopping there on a regular basis.
