The owner felt our review was unfair, and even though they offer 24/7 and emergency service, and we have a service/maintenance contract with them - this didn't fall on their shoulders. We called FS, they advised us to call who manages our 2 HVAC systems (Voss) so that is what we did. Previous Review from last night; Darrell is not managing the Emergency line and we have a gas leak!!! (Update, he apologized, said he was "passed out," and called about 45 min + later, but did not come here.) We've done all we know to do, but FS Propane said to contact our HVAC maintainers...which is Voss, and we have a Service Plan with them. Two calls to Darrell, a Text to Neal, email to general email address, and here we sit! Windows open, hot and sticky with the smell of gas in the air... awesome customer service.

I cannot say enough good things about Burns builders and Burns heat and air. They installed a 2 ton…read moresplit unit (outdoor/indoor unit) with duct work in the newly remodeled section of my home. In addition to this installation, they upgraded my electric panel. Other HVAC installers estimated that I would need a 1.5 ton unit. But Burns insisted that a 2 ton would be perfect for the space and not overwork the unit. They were 100% right. The unit is utilized for a renovated attic space. So it does get extremely hot in the summer. If I had gone with the 1.5 ton unit then it would have been overworking itself. I have to say they did all of this work with incredible integrity and for a fraction of the cost that I was quoted from other HVAC businesses.

As a homeowner in Carbondale, I've called on this company twice this month, once for a furnace…read moreproblem and once for plumbing. The service was excellent both times. It's my go-to company from here out. The people who answered the phone were quick and friendly. When one of them needed to make a call to check on scheduling and said she'd call me right back, which always makes my heart sink, she actually did! They got someone to my house on the urgent furnace thing the day I called, and the non-emergency plumbing problem first thing the next morning, with no fuss or difficulty. Both technicians knew their stuff, were quick with the work and efficient with the billing, helpful in explaining things and friendly about my questions. I found the pricing very reasonable. The plumbing problem took two tries, and they didn't bill me for the second visit, only for the parts, which I thought very professional. I was so impressed that I signed up for their annual maintenance agreement, which includes biannual checks on the furnace and AC and a lower visit fee. You can tell there's high morale in the company, which is rare these days and of course makes a huge difference in how well a company works and gains customers. Apparently it was bought recently by a young couple who have high aspirations for building it into a larger business. From my short experience, they're making a great start. I just hope it can grow without losing this enthusiasm!

I called Bryan's because they were close to Carbondale and said Free Estimates on their ad in the yellow pages. When I called, I explained that my air was set on 64 and wouldn't get below 78. I said I saw their ad in the yellow pages and asked if I could get someone to come look at our unit. The woman on the phone was extremely condescending and told me that 1. No air conditioner would go down to 64 and 2. free estimates were only for new installs. VERY RUDE! I wouldn't use them when there are a bunch of other companies around with great customer service!
