It started out good but now if you're a regular, they treat you like you don't matter...even though…read morethey have a job because of clients. Advertised as fairly priced, they keep making changes and offices are getting way too busy and are becoming increasingly unable to accommodate everyone. Staff is stressed and doesn't answer the phone sometimes. I called ahead to make an appt. but no one answered and was then turned away at two offices when I arrived, even though they were fully open and even though I drove to the middle of nowhere to get there. Where is the compassion? I was in pain. Maintenance plan was $45 a month but now they bill you for a full quarter; that's $125 ahead of time. How do I know if I will even use all of that? Management/owner doesn't return calls on customer service billing issues. Kids are $5/visit but now they have to be under 17?! So now high schoolers are apparently full grown and should work full time. Dr. might be rough but is overall effective; just takes some getting used to. Masseuse is just ok but high turn over. Their hours are tricky; they close for lunch from 12:30-3 PM. It would be great if they could just extend their hours on a Saturday at this point to accommodate the high influx of customers. Otherwise expect to allow an hour during peak times.

I have chronic back pain, migraines, a slight spine curvature, and have also had brain surgery and lumbar punctures in the past. Chiropractic has done more for me than any pain medication I've ever been given, and has been absolutely crucial to my being able to function and lead a normal and active life without any daily medication for management. But, a recent experience that I've had with my son has left me absolutely speechless and entirely in awe of just how powerfully effective and helpful chiropractic care is - not just for physical pain and discomfort, but for actual neurological and disorders and behaviors. And it has compelled me to write this and share our story. My son had a pretty concerning speech delay, and I saw him improve at a steady pace over the course of a year or so of regular chiropractic care with Dr Rubin. If you're a skeptic, that could simply be attributed to "a variation of normal" or "he'd have gotten there, eventually, regardless." But, this year he very suddenly developed a compulsive and uncontrollable tic where he just started making this sound... every few seconds, of every day, no matter what he was doing. At rest it was more frequent, and over time it became louder and more disturbing. It sounded like he was clearing his throat but it was every few seconds and it didn't matter if he was eating, watching a tv show, playing, or even laying in bed doing nothing. I knew it was not something he could control or anything he was doing for attention, because it NEVER stopped. We talked about it, I would ask him about it and he had no idea what I was talking about. He didn't recognize the tic or that it was abnormal, he didn't realize it was even happening. I recorded him, showed him the video, and he didn't understand. I was as gentle and understanding as I could be, but could not get answers from him. We took him to the pediatrician, she didn't have answers either. Because of school being in session on the same days and at the same times as Dr Rubin was open, I was rarely able to get him in for the majority of this last school year. When the tic developed, I mentioned it at one of my adjustments and Dr Rubin urged me to please get him in even if we had to figure out a specific time to make it happen. This tic went on for weeks. WEEKS. So, when I tell you that with just a few adjustments and exercises from Dr Rubin, it stopped entirely... I am just utterly in complete shock and amazement. It has been almost 3 months now, without a single instance of that tic recurring. I have been trying to get him in more regularly after seeing the clear need and immediate benefit, but even with as irregular as his visits have been, the tic is still completely gone. Completely. I have never been a skeptic of the benefits of chiropractic care but I have NEVER seen results like this, right before my eyes, when it comes to a problem more related to behavior. It has completely blown the doors off of my curiosity and blossoming passion for chiropractic care, and deepened the already infinite appreciation and respect that I had for Dr Rubin and what he has done in my life, and that of my children. It isn't about bone cracking, it's about giving your body gentle nudges into the right direction that will allow you to align and regulate yourself. It's about enabling your body to, essentially, fix itself. He knows exercises and trigger points and specific ways of manipulating (but not forcing) your body into to proper alignment that will then allow for healing, recovery, progress, and also the ability to maintain all of that as you fall back into place with his guided care.

I went to see Dr. Smith at Backstreet Chiropractic for an adjustment, I complained about the congestion and not sleeping well due to incessant coughing.
