My Atlanta journey to healing has been long and challenging, beginning over a decade ago as a new out-patient at the Shepherd Pain and Rehabilitation Center here in Atlanta. Thanks to their innovative care, I was able to transition out of a wheelchair after seven years of confinement due to a disability caused by a New York podiatrist: disabiling me completely at 48 years of age in 2005.
