My Atlanta journey to healing has been long and challenging, beginning over a decade ago as a new out-patient at the Shepherd Pain and Rehabilitation Center here in Atlanta. Thanks to their innovative care, I was able to transition out of a wheelchair after seven years of confinement due to a disability caused by a New York podiatrist: disabiling me completely at 48 years of age in 2005. The best pain management doctors in New York City finally told me there was no hope for my recovery or my ability to live without prescribed opiates. I have been a client of Ferguson Family Chiropractic for almost one year and Dr. Ashley and Dr. Karen have been fantastic all along! So today we took our other puppy Missy to see the Doctor. Missy has vertigo and was having issues with her balance. Dr. Karen is a true healer of the body, mind and soul. It is rare to meet someone whose light shines so bright from within. The fact that she is also a Dr is a blessing. I was told that my running days were over after my diagnosis of Osteopenia. I could not move without my hip pain causing spasms in my back. I was depressed and anxious.
