They did not sell it out from under me (thank you Down The Road Motors!). When the vehicle was on the lot, the buying process was easy and they allowed me to get a private inspection--big plus! The mechanic that inspected my car said that the brakes were brand new, and the belts in great condition. He said it was a great little car and encouraged me heavily to buy it. He said he would've drove it round the country that day with full confidence. My new car did start making a belt noise a few days after purchase, and the mechanics at Down the Road Motors squeezed me right in to get my car fixed up and taken care of, no cost on me. Overall, my vehicle was a good value for what it is, however it does have cosmetic issues, mostly scratches and a leaky seal at the top, but that's what you get with an "as-is" used car. My only recommendation is to make sure you look over a car thoroughly to see if it's missing any seat heads, levers, etc--which should be done with any used car! I wasn't told about the things my car was missing so I had to look it over well, nothing that was missing made it worth not buying! Incomprehensible to me as a business practice. It will discourage spending at the dealer and alienate customers needlessly in my view. They could have gone with a 3% discount for cash if they wanted to go down this dubious path. Paying by credit card gives important customer protections. These are not available with debit cards or cash. Long-time customer. Doubtful that I will return.

This was my worst nightmare, when I took my vehicle to have two repairs done. I had my car towed to…read moreRobinson on June 14,23 and signed the contract on July 11,23. Robertson asked me to put half the cost down, and I wrote him a check. This man lied on his wed stating that he had loaner cars, which was a big plus for me as I would not need to purchase renter car. This is the "PITT of HELL". With a 8ft iron gate and pad lock, On July 21, my birthday, I went to Robinson wanting to know when my car would be completed, and he showed me all the parts, gave me his word that the work would be completed soon. I called back August 8,23 and Robertson told me he would call me in a couple of days. I tried calling to see when my car would be completed, and my calls went to voice mail, then it said the voicemail was not set up. From that day on there was no communication until I hired a Lawyer who made connection. My Lawyer called me and said two weeks. Two weeks turned into two months. I had to take a police officer to "Robinsons' HELL PITT" three times before I got my car back, then he would not accept my check, I had to wait another day to pay him cash to get my car. Robertson is the most incompetent person I have ever dealt with, unprofessional as he screamed at me when I asked him questions. Now, I have to hire another shop to repair the things that Robertson signed contract to complete because he tore up parts on my car that did not need repaired. Robertson Auto Body has poor quality in their workmanship. After all of this, Richard Robinson asked me not to give him bad review. Please before you make a decision on who will get your business, first do your homework, look at the reviews. Stay away from this "HELL PITT" or you will be sorry...I give him a zero (0).
