They sent the response but then called in two different companies to inspect , repair and confirm that this would not happen again. This property has amazed me every step of the way. However, we had apartment break ins, cars stolen, bicycles stolen, attempted stabbing and nothing was done to improve security or show any empathy toward a resident. They did the corporate response and then basically told you it was your problem and we are not responsible or liable. I hope we all appreciate what we have with Camden Plaza and the team. We are blessed to have such a responsive team. We have noticed and we say thank you Harold Shultz/ Douglas Waiter.

I've lived here for two years now. I believe this is quite an honest review:…read more UT Housing has the new housing (built post 2000s) and old housing (built in the 1980s) where I'm at. The actual floor plans are roomy and nice. The built in furniture in the kitchen is not the greatest. It will fall apart while you live here (as long as you will stay here a min of 1 year). You most likely will experience bugs at some point in your stay. You will have huge water pools in the parking lots because of poor drainage during heavy rain. You will have lots of babies crying at other times because there are lots of families here with newborns/toddlers/infants. How is rent? Pretty okay. I live in a two bedroom (with a roomie) and I end up paying 385/month. Compared to other locations nearby, is it worth it? No, not really. Maybe I save 50 bucks, but... trust me. I can't do laundry at my place. There's a laundromat in the facility where you can wash/dry for 75 cents each, but I'm not a big fan. They're okay, not great. The good part: large floorplans in old housing. You're on the bus route for the UT Schools, you're also on the bus route for Metro 87, You're close to shady Kroger, the Rec is nearby, and you can always house friends' cars during Reliant season. That's it. The staff is not the best. The only staff I enjoy talking to is the check-in lady who's very nice! The actual staff are really not there to serve you. I'm not sure what their actual goal is in their job description. Anything you ever bring up to them is quite the inconvenience. In conclusion, I would not recommend living here.

The new management is awesome, the GM does really well to take care of everything in a timely manner. My apartment was perfect when I moved in, I had no issues. The furniture is the best in terms of student housing bc you can easily use Clorox wipes to wipe them down! I've never once felt unsafe at Campus Vue, I often see the courtesy police officers outside the buildings and in the garage, as well as the security guard walking the building every night and morning. $35/month for parking is super cheap compared to having to pay for a parking pass at school (lol no thnx) People that get towed: we got new decals around December and the office made everyone aware through email, text, to flyers on the doors & around the property. There was even a grace period yet people did not pick them up so of course they were towed. People also get towed when the decal isn't showing or if they're double parked lol! The property is cleaner than most considering its student housing and most kids are used to their parents picking up after them. There's a porter on the property and trash chutes on every floor but people are gross and don't care to clean up after themselves Pest Control: As I've said, I've been here for a year and have had no issues in regards to pest control. You really just have to be cleanly! Overall, I've had really positive experiences! People have no idea how spoiled we are to live in such close proximity to school with so many amenities and easy access to everything we need! Seriously could not get better!!

I am the guarantor on a by-the-bed student lease at Campus Vue (Asset Living), 4x4DT, $750/month…read more My son never received keys and never moved in. We gave written notice on August 17 and August 18, 2026, before the August 20 move-in. Emails to the property were not answered. He had to go to the office in person to get the relet form because the link they sent would not open. That form is not a release. It leaves the original resident on the hook even after a replacement signs. The signed lease is $750. Their relet paperwork showed $815. The same office texted him as a new prospect offering 4x4 beds at $715 while this empty bed has remained on our account. The unit they showed had a barber chair in the shared living room and a smoke detector taken off the ceiling and left on the kitchen counter. Other students in his incoming group left this building on official move-in day. He arrived two days later and was not placed with them. I paid August and September under protest so the account would not go straight to collections. I offered the lease reletting fee for a signed mutual release of the resident and the guarantor. No written answer from the property or from the corporate contact they gave me. SimpleBills then added a late fee on a bed with no occupancy. I am not asking the internet to void a contract. I am saying: we don't have keys, gave notice before move-in, have not received a written release, his empty bed is still billed, we have three different rent figures on the same bed ($750 / $815 / $715), and there is silence from the office. If you are a parent about to co-sign a by-the-bed lease here, stay away unless you have walked the exact bedroom and have a written assignment with your student's actual roommates. Once the guaranty is signed, the office can go silent, hand you a relet form that is not a release, and keep billing an empty bed. I would not guarantee another lease at this property.

I am incredibly pleased to not be living here anymore, and am hoping to help others with my review…read moreconsidering how crazy the rental market is. You should know: -Your actual rent will be ~$200 higher than the base rent advertised on their website after a mandatory internet/cable package ($118), monthly community fee ($20), and valet trash fee. Does not include your ~$90 electricity bill. -Many "incidents within the community" as they like to call them. Car break ins, vehicle and tire theft on numerous occasions. Lost track of the notifications I would receive, however management was always great about letting us know when something took place. -Gunshots fired on three separate occasions outside my unit. -Will keep your security deposit and claim any small cosmetic damage extends well beyond "normal wear and tear", the terminology outlined in your lease agreement. Be prepared to not see your $150 again when signing here. Did not receive any response when I reached out about my final bill via email, so I took it upon myself to drive to go discuss with their team in person post move-out and was again given half-answers. If I had the time and if the deposit was a greater amount, I would look to pursue action in a small claims court. Charging former residents for a coat of paint (that you as a management company should already be doing in-between residents) is not ok. -TONS of dogs in the community = plenty of barking and owners who don't clean up after their pets. -Always loses power or internet if not both in heavy storms (not just talking Hurricane Beryl here). -Gave me the runaround and refused to provide a written offer when I was looking to potentially renew my lease months ago before things continued to be a nightmare. -If you do move to this community and want to stay, they will raise your rate by at least $50-$100 even if you've been a non-problematic tenant that always pays rent on time. -Receiving packages here can sometimes be a hassle as the office usually does not take them, and many delivery drivers get lost easily in the complex. Happy to answer any questions! For the amount you would pay to live in this community, you should 100% be looking elsewhere.

TLDR: The Vue is a great deal - just try to only live with people you know!…read moreAlso: My girlfriend lived her 2 years ago and the complex is 1000 TIMES BETTER NOW! Haven't seen a single break in and the garage is always lit! My experience has honestly been a pretty pleasant one (been living here now since August 2018). My biggest and only real complaints are with the residents themselves. But, for the price, the proximity to campus, the fact the apartments are fully furnished, the complex supplies free wifi (although a little slow), all bills are included (mostly included - I get the occasional electricity/water bill for around 20 bucks - which anyone who has ever had their own place knows that $20 is NOTHING for a bill containing electricity AND water), you get a full kitchen with updated appliances, the A/C and heat is controlled by the residents, and the laundry is in-unit - you'd have a really hard time finding a better deal! Pros: 1. Despite what people say, I have had nothing but extremely pleasant experiences with the staff (this includes the folks in the office, the repairmen, and - yes - even the manager Charles). I have had lots of issues with roommates and Charles handled them all promptly, politely, and in such a way that pretty much all issues I had were cleared up overnight. The first few months we had the roommates from H*LL. Now, almost 9 months later? The house is quiet after midnight, people keep to themselves and respect each other's property, and they stopped lighting fireworks in the living room (yes - they lit fireworks on multiple occasions.) 2. Despite what people say, the apartments are still pretty reasonably priced. Like I mentioned, the apartment comes with a LOT. Wifi, fully-furnished, full kitchen, a balcony, walk-in closets, etc ( you can re-read my intro paragraph if you forgot everything I mentioned). My girlfriend and I share a room and then we share the apartment with three other people (two now, they kicked out one of our roommates for being intentionally destructive to the property). My girlfriend and I each pay about $400 a month. We get our own bathroom, desk, and walk-in closet in addition to all the shared amenities. Take into account that I can get to any one of my classes at UH with a 15 minute walk? $840 is a STEAL. 3. Excellent mail service. Never lost a package and the process for picking up your stuff is always simple. Plus, the front office staff is really nice! They seem like the types of people who will only catch an attitude if you give them a REASON to catch an attitude. The staff in the office is largely comprised of people in their early 20's and they are extremely professional! But, hey. A 21 year old can only keep a smile on their face through so much abuse. (Again, never seen their bad side, I am only making assumptions about what I have seen in other reviews). Cons: 1. THE RESIDENTS. Go figure, most of the residents are immature, destructive, and can't handle their alcohol - they are college kids. The residents keep the hallways a mess despite the staff cleaning the hallways multiple times a day EVERY day. As I mentioned before, the manager doesn't tolerate destructive nonsense and he will hold people to their lease. You wanna blast your music at 3am? You wanna break things? You wanna let your dog poop in the hallways? You better be ready to accept the risk of eviction. 2. Most of the luxury amenities are broken or out of order. Since I moved in, the pool has been closed. The gym equipment doesn't work either (or most of it - I don't work out, so this doesn't bother me in the slightest... also, because I don't work out, I don't know how MUCH of the equipment doesn't work - gym might be slightly functional). The worst one for me is the computer lab. The computers all work, but the printer has been out of yellow ink for months now. I even offered to buy a cartridge and replace it myself, but they wouldn't let me - I guess they were worried I would break it. 3. If you are sharing a room with someone, you might not have a lot of space. My girlfriend and I share one of the cheaper rooms and, as a result, we are SUPER cramped. There are better options for sharing a room where you'll get more space.
