Dragged and scuffed up legs on a "new" sofa.
Raul R.

Purchased a sofa from Couch Potato online. Plain and simple, getting our delivery was held off an extra couple of days because of miscommunication, we understood and that was fine. The day the sofa arrived, we found what looks like burnt holes under the seats of the couch. The legs of the couch seemed to be dragged and scuffed up a bit. But the arm rest on the side of the couch is not even fully connected and wiggles and is basically dangling off, which was forced us to put that section of the couch against a wall. Which was also due to the fact that the sofa on the pictures had the long sectional piece on the left side which works with our home, but the sofa that we received has the long sectional piece on the right side, something that looks funky in our living room and not what we were expecting. We called to get out money back and the "person in charge" said we cannot get out money back for this faulty unit. But that we could get an exchange free of cost. We agreed and got an estimated time of 4-6 weeks for the new couch to arrive. It is now the 7th week, still no sofa. I called back once again for them to take the sofa back and return us the money and the "person in charge" this time angrily replied. " I have told you before you're not getting your money back for the couch and we have been nice enough to exchange it". Nice enough? To exchange a product that is broken? Burnt? And does not match the set up that it had in the pictures? Waiting on our new sofa still... when we first dealt with them at the start of the purchase, management was helpful and nice. When we brought up our concerns they turned into rude, and unwilling to help people.

I must admit, Couch Potato was my last choice stop for couch shopping. I've previously purchased from couch potato (in slo) and didn't particularly enjoy my experience. That said, I AM SO GLAD I WENT TO COUCH POTATO IN MORRO BAY!!! Yes, I meant to yell that. Our experience here was top notch...not pushy, not stuffy, not pretentious. We got what we wanted (within reason) and enjoyed our time there. Bill was very informative and helpful for choosing the best sofa for our needs without trying to show us options out of our price range. He was great and because of him, I'd return in a heart beat. Thank you, Bill!! Delivery was a breeze!! And both gentleman were very pleasant. Please don't judge them on my poor quality photo! It's really great in person and has a full-sized pull out.

Great working with them to get my couch delivered. Caleb and Patrick were on time and took great care unloading and bring my sofa sleeper in. They also cleaned up all the packaging and made sure it was set up to my liking! Thanks guys

My new awesome turquoise couch!

Lovely furniture store in the heart of downtown. Bought four chairs before closing and Connie was so helpful. Will definitely revisit.

Patrick and Cailb did a great and efficient job. They were very careful of damaging the walls or furniture bringing the furniture inside.

At the end of a difficult delivery, Caleb and Patrick were super happy with being able to help us out.

We went by the other day on a foggy day. It was shortly before Christmas and we wandered around the beautiful rooms to admire the housewares. The building is very inviting to begin with because it's wood and has brick flooring throughout. Everything is displayed artistically with lots of space and in a manner that you might use it in your own home, it's like walking from one beautiful dining room to another beautiful area of a home. I started adding pottery from the Garden Gallery to my collection of housewares and they have served me well over the years because they're always such high-quality. I always get joy from using them The designs and colors are always tasteful and they really go well with any decor. More than that, the way the objects are displayed together is truly artistic and never fails to inspire me!

I trusted her word, and I took it home and looked up how to use one, as it was my first purchase of this kind. I quickly learned that the machine didn't work for its intended purpose. The machine was shown to "work" at the store; the lady turned it on, and it the needle/arm moved up and down. She assured me that it worked. When I took it home, I found that the machine was missing several vital parts and many pieces were broken, pieces that weren't apparent at first to a newbie like me. She took advantage of my unfamiliarity. I tried to return the machine, but the lady told me I couldn't. She basically told me that the machine worked as far as she knew, and that I bought it in that condition. It was a "final sale", because the machine was sold to me as being in working condition even though it wasn't. If she hadn't told me that it worked and that she had experience with sewing, I wouldn't be as sad and angry as I am, but she assured me, with all of her sewing experience and credit, that it worked. She even told me that it was sold to me at a high discount, and that new machines run as high as $130. I paid $40 for mine, but the fact is that it didn't work, and those $130 would go for a NEW machine in perfect working condition. Just a personal experience and warning about this place. Be careful when buying here, and don't pay any money you don't mind losing.

I LOVE this store…read more The prices for the things I buy have been great. For instance, I bought a pretty metal stand with a small plate for $3. It is in my backyard as a bird feeder. We recently purchased a wood desk for $50, plus an old 50's looking office chair - which was originally $2, but they threw it in for free with the purchase of the desk. The items are varied. Some of it I love, and some of it I don't. Some of it is a little pricey, and some of it is really cheap (in my opinion). It's a great store to check in with regularly because their inventory changes all the time.
