While there, we also did flower pounding to make a beautiful card and envelope (see photos). There was a covered area with tables where we were able to sit, eat snacks, and chat. I also noticed a fire-pit and I'd like to bring my grandkids, let them pick flowers, and then spend time relaxing with a picnic lunch or dinner and roast some marshmallows over the fire. The way it works is you scan the QR code, pick up a cup, fill with water, and grab cutters. You can walk up and down the aisles that have various flowers blooming and pick any you like. If you don't have time to pick, there is a grab and go bouquet in the stand. They are open dawn to dusk April - October. I attended a Christmas in July party this past weekend and we were asked to bring a gift from a local vendor. I brought a gift certificate. The person who opened it didn't want to tell anyone what it was for fear it would be stolen! She wanted it for herself. So, if you enjoy flowers (and your special someone does), check out Harvey Family Farm.

There is a self service kiosk with directions on what to do and it's a great value!! I can't wait to use them forever more for my flowers for special occasions and just to have beautiful fresh flowers in my home which brings us joy!!

Took a ride to HNG farm on Sunday. Great selection of meats, and their "deli" meats were just…read morefabulous. I do NOT eat bologna, but my partner "snuck" a piece in my mouth without telling me what it was....I could have sworn it was high quality ham! OMG! The smoked ham was wonderful, as was the salami too. Got some andouille sausage which we had last night....oh so YUM We also had lunch there. I had their chili, really well made, lots of meat n veggies. Flavor was mild, but nice variety of hot sauces on tables allowed one to vary heat/flavor according to ones taste. I abhor chili with excessive green pepper, but HNG's was spot on. J had the hot dog which, like their bologna, was superb. Also discovered Smokin J's chipotle hot sauce, really nice flavor with medium heat, got a bottle for home. We'll be heading there again soon! And yes, HNG has both a deli counter and small cafe in the primary building, first one you come to on left of driveway.

Thankfully, she was too young to understand how bad it was; filthy dirty farm, supposedly a working farm where people buy meat? I don't eat meat but if I did I wouldn't buy it there. Their baby chickens were kept in the most horrendously filthy dirty condition; super crowded together, and a lot of the playground equipment looked like it hadn't been maintained properly in years. Granted this happened around 2017 so things could have changed a lot by now but I wouldn't know since I never went back. I want to vote for you Jamie but good God clean this up. You graduated from Warren Wilson right? Didn't they teach you godliness is next to cleanliness?
