Very glad we stumbled across Couch Dog brewing. It's off the beaten path away from all the hectic and craziness of Salem, so it was nice to be able to sit outside their nice front patio and enjoy one of their many delicious beers!

Loved this spot! Dedicates literal wall space to polaroid photos of people's dogs (precious). The beers are delicious, they offer lots of fun board games and card games to play, and the ambiance is very cute. We came on a Thursday and participated in Trivia Night and everyone on the staff working made it fun, lively, and enjoyable!

We were walking and seeking out a distillery, when I heard my wife and daughter say don't say anything and I turn around and look what we find is a brewery. Apparently this brewery if quite new and opened up earlier in 2023. This brewery is small, but they had some good beers to choose from. I did a tasting of the different beers that I thought that had looked good and worth trying them out. This was our second brewery visit in a short distance in Salem, and third brewery that we've visited in the state. This place is a hidden gem and easy to miss while walking on the sidewalk. This place combines a passion for craft beer with a laid-back atmosphere. Couch Dog Brewery's beer menu is a testament to innovation and quality. The selection spans a spectrum of styles, from hoppy IPAs to rich stouts, each brew crafted with precision and care. The flights, which allow you to sample a variety of their offerings, are perfect for those looking to explore the diverse flavors on tap. The friendly and knowledgeable staff is always ready to guide you through the menu, offering recommendations based on your preferences. This was a good find and happy we stopped and had some beer.

We stopped for trivia (trivia with Olivia). The trivia was fantastic and the beer was smooth and went down easy! We loved the lychee blueberry sour. The staff was incredibly welcoming and we enjoyed seeing all the dogs!

Excellent beer, friendly crowd, dogs welcome, live music. Off the beaten path so it was refreshing to rest from all the tourist stuff.

Outdoors is dog friendly and I made some furry friends while sitting out for a drink! The German style beers they have on tap included some unique finds and some styles you don't see too often. Bartenders were very friendly and helpful when I was trying to decide what to get, as lagers and ales are not my usual go tos but made up the majority of the offerings. I got the Salem Ale, a helles style, in a half pour- I love that they offer this smaller size since their other glasses are absolutely massive! This was an easy drinking, smooth beer with low hops, just what I wanted for a hot summer day when I only had limited time to spend here. My drinking partner also enjoyed their selection, and we really enjoyed the location. Would love to go back, very chill vibes and the people there were all so friendly and happy, patrons and employees alike - a rare occurrence in Massachusetts!

A Pilsner deserves to be poured slowly (the German 7 minutes rule would be overkill, but a 7 second pour is an insult to the craft), 2. The kitchen took a dive. Previously I thought that the food was excellent, but no more.

Today was the pork belly tacos, the taco salad, and some beeyahs. Delicious tacos once again, crema, pickled radish, and jalapeño makes a delicious bite. Pork belly alone was underseasoned, but the whole bite makes it worth it! The bucket of taco salad was filled with choice of shredded beef. Done well, dressed nicely tourist pricing but that's normal all around town. I like coming here in the afternoons or later lunches for a relaxing time, good food, and a great atmosphere.

The food is nothing spectacular, though it's not bad either--just kinda mid. We had the ceviche, which was decent for $16. The drink menu itself is really cool, but it is very overpriced. Because we had already had a couple of drinks elsewhere and were mostly just buying time, we opted to stick with water. The ambiance is easily the best part of the experience. It's a fun, lively rooftop bar that sits right in the middle of everything in town. It offers some nice views directly over the main pedestrian street in Salem, though honestly, beyond that, you can't see much else. The staff was friendly and welcoming. We didn't have a reservation and weren't thrilled with the seats we were given, but that's fair game for walking in. It's a neat place to stop in for a quick view if you're passing through, but be prepared for typical tourist-heavy prices for drinks.
