Star removed for items that did not work. That would be the Keurig coffee maker & all the electrical outlets on one side of the bed. Desk staff was very apologetic when I let them know, & I'm sure they will take care of it.

The Bed Bug Inn Beware Room #113!…read moreSince I travel extensively, I check all rooms I stay in very carefully. I was quick to find bedbugs at Room #113 bed's headboard. The bedbugs I saw all seemed to be dead, but they were interspersed between the mattress, box spring, sheets and across the headboard-side floor. As if custodial staff not cleaning up the dead bedbugs was bad enough, bedbug powder - a powerful insecticide - was all over the place, maybe 16 - 20 inches from where we place our heads during sleep. We immediately requested another room (nearby inns and motels were full) from the lady at the front desk. Additionally, she took images with her cell phone of the bedbugs and powder I found. The inn upgraded us to a room with a bed of a different design, sort of a cradled frame. We saw no bugs. Later the next day, we saw indications that the staff must have merely moved the bed in #113 back into position, and rented the room out to another, unsuspecting guest. We will never stay here again.

Not only are its surroundings beautiful,…read morebut the folks who run the lodge are extremely kind and helpful, and the food is consistently excellent. The rooms in the lodge are clean and cozy, there are many spots around for lounging and socializing, and there's no better way to end the day than with a hot drink by the fire in the dining room (okay, except for maybe the hot tub, which is open 24/7). Snowmobiles are available for rental on a daily or half-day basis, which allowed us to venture out further than we could've on foot. The lodge also has snowshoes to borrow to trek around, which were very useful after all the powder the area got during the week we were there. I'd love to return again with friends or family to share this remote gem.

By old fashioned, I mean the hospitality and service, not to be mistaken by the rooms which are renovated, clean and anything but old! You get the experience of a road trip mom and pop motel in a small town, with modern and extremely comfortable amenities at the same time. The woman who checked us in was extremely friendly and kind. Very personable and caring folks! Told us her husband renovates the rooms himself- so impressive as they look like they're done by a team of pros. They're small rooms, no frills, but you get a completely fair deal for what you pay for. The beds are so comfy, nice wooden floors, beautiful wood work, nice bathroom. It's certainly not a huge room but it could comfortably rest a family of 1-4 for a few nights! They even have a Keurig in the room, coffee, waters, etc. Overall, it's a cozy family motel that will be more than enough for most driving on through Montana to stay for a night or two! If I'm near the area again, I'll definitely be staying here. Support small businesses like this one- it's an American western gem!

Yummy squishy pillows, extremely hot water available in the bathroom (if that's your thing), the most thoroughly stocked "kitchen" area I've ever had, and Amy at the front desk is delightful. Doors DO open directly to outside, but that's not something that bothers me. In general, highly recommend. If you (like me) are sick of soulless hotel chains, give this place a try.

You will see and smell it when you enter the parking lot. The entire staff seemed to be Torin and the waitress Lacy, who was kind, cheery and courteous. The prices may seem high, but it is good BBQ and that takes time, that, and until you remember how long you drove to get there and consider the food has to take the same arduous journey. The taste and the scenery is really amazing and will please any who try this place.

Transformed by Bobby's special touches, the place just makes you feel right at home. From the cute little check in desk filled with adorable crafts, personally made shirts, mugs, and well stocked breakfast corner, to the soft bed linens, even the two different types of pillow (one hard for leaning against and once soft for sleeping)... everything seems to have been thoughtfully placed. Even the free coffee and pastries we delicious!!! Then there's the cute garden in front with fresh herbs and tomatoes and fire pit and gazebo... it was all too cute! Best of all was spending the time talking to Bobby and her staff. They were super friendly and helpful. We can't wait to come back! The location is great! Awesome Bighorn park only 15 mins away.

Horseshoe Bend Motel is a nice, non-chain place that has the quirky charm of an old school hotel…read morecommon in small communities. The front desk staff is small town friendly. It's well-maintained, has modern conveniences: a small refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, smart tv, and wi-fi that works well. There was an old fashioned looking radio to keep with the theme, but it also had blue tooth for a nod to the modern. The bed is comfortable but the pillows were a little weird: two were standard soft and two were heavy and filled with something that made them good for sitting up in bed but not for sleeping. Maybe that was the point because this room did not have a chair. The bathroom was separated from the room by a barn door that saved space although the bathroom was roomy enough. Horseshoe also provided a separate set of towels in all sizes for cleaning shoes, wiping off mud, or dealing with general messes. This was much better than those small disposable squares. There's only real keys for entry into rooms, with a big metal key chain attached, so it's unlikely to get lost. It's a nice break from the plastic cards used in modern hotels, but doesn't fit into the pocket as easily. Numbered parking for the room is right outside your door, sort of, but I'm not sure anyone was paying attention to matching room number with parking spot but you'll be reasonably close.

We caught fish - most of which were large. The food was excellent. On trips like these I have often subsisted on Doritos, peanuts, and other questionable ultra processed "food". This time each dinner included a huge salad, meat, a starch - pasta, rice, etc. and a vegetable plus desert. Excellent and we didn't go away hungry. My favorite meal is breakfast and you get a wide choice of options including my favorite bacon and eggs. Lunches were provided on our floats of the Bighorn and were very good with more food than I could eat. Dave and Cary and their two labs were great hosts. I highly recommend

I booked Thursday thru Sunday and brought my 26 year old son along for the trip. Everything about our stay was perfect! the lodge and our cabin was clean, welcoming and comfortable. The food was excellent, and our fishing guide Chad was incredible. We caught dozens of fish over two days, and when coming back to the lodge at the end of the day we were welcomed by Cary and David with a cold drink and a great dinner. Cary and David provide guests with everything they need, and no detail is overlooked. I highly recommend the Bighorn Riverview Lodge and Cabins, it was perfect, and can't wait to go back!
