An employee disregarded my parental instructions and pressured my daughter to try on inappropriate clothing sizes while making hurtful comments regarding her body image, specifically telling her she needed to "lose 15 pounds." Furthermore, staff provided age-inappropriate clothing to an 8-year-old child in our group and encouraged her to model it in front of adult male spectators. This occurred despite my specific instructions to the contrary. When a male adult was asked to leave, employees instead encouraged his presence, creating a highly inappropriate and unsafe environment for minors. As a registered nurse specializing in pediatric emergency psychiatric trauma, I recognize these actions as psychological harassment. This experience triggered a severe anxiety attack for my daughter and has resulted in ongoing depression and social isolation. The interaction occurred in a co-ed dressing area where staff actively encouraged male patrons in their 40s who were not purchasing items to observe, compromising my children's safety and privacy. I have recorded evidence of these interactions and will act accordingly depending on your response with this information and willing to assist amicably. However, I have a duty to the public and act and respond like a prudent and competent nurse. At one point, they got 3 workers for us over the phone: two to measure a dress and one to call us on FaceTime showing the dresses. We were on the line with them for about an hour maybe more and they were for sure the sweetest most kind and patient and just amazing ladies!! Also, most of their styles are on the 'classic' styles based on the largest demographic of their customer base. The salespersons here were great. They were very helpful and informative about SAS products and their upcoming sales. Also, the store carried several sizes and they could order sizes and styles that they might not have at the time. What I missed from the store were complimentary popcorn and their 10 cents coca-cola vending machine. Those were something I loved getting while waiting for my mom. Considering styles, comfort, customer service and prices, I am giving SAS 4-star rating. My mom will come back during one of their sales.
