This sweet collection of stores and restaurants is located downtown near the river walk but not on it. The building is clearly marked so easy to walk from the river. There are many different kinds of shops, everything from a nail salon to clothing. I enjoyed going from level to level in this old but interesting building full of history.

Such a neat collection of shops and restaurants. Parking is super convenient for shopping there. There is something for just about everyone. Loved just wandering through them , not looking for anything in particular. I've heard that the German Restaurant is good , can't wait to try that soon. Enclosed are some pictures on the walls of neat history of the Cotton Exchange.

Wilmington Cotton Exchange- We visited Carolina Beach and my husband wanted me to experience the Cotton Exchange. We were nrvous too many things would be closed, but we drove up to Wilmington anyway and I'm so glad we did! Plenty of stores were open and it was really the best day. The cotton exchange is such a unique experience and a very cool, charming complex. No elevators, right? Make your way through the 8 buildings and different levels and enjoy a fun day of shopping at exclusive boutiques. I love that they don't have franchise stores or restaurants in the Cotton exchange. We picked up a beautiful photograph print, some gourmet olives and vinegars, a few other handmade artisan crafts for gifts, and a beach cover up. I love the history of the building and love that restoration attempts have kept that antiquity in tact. I wish the book store had been open, though! I don't think they have a page yet, so I'll review here... after shopping and dinner, we decided to book the Escape Room on the lower level. It was the most immersive, clever escape room experience we've ever done. I highly recommend the Forgotten room, it was a real treat!

Old historic warehouse turned into shopping venue. Many different stores to wander around in and look at frivolous necessities. Shoes, vintage clothing, stationary, art, and so much more. They have a parking lot that you pay for minutes but can get up to 3 hours free by validating your ticket at one of the shops inside.

The whole place felt kind of old and not the cleanest. The options of stores were also not my style. But good place to stop by because of the free parking if you eat or buy something here. The food options are better than the clothing options.

I absolutely love doing little photo shoots and am always looking for new places to go. This place has a bunch of little shops and even a nail salon but our purpose was pics! My sister insisted that I would love it and I did!

This is one of my favorite tourist spots in Wilmington. They have fabulous shops and restaurants. It is so unique and unlike any other place I have ever been. We spent hours here today. I love how parking is free when you are shipping/eating here. They have a few restrooms open to the public if needed, too. I love the set up and the courtyard in the middle. Around every corner is a surprise! This is a great place to eat at if you are going to a show at Wilson Center.

I love it when cities keep old buildings like this and repurpose it for shopping and dining. This is a must see when in downtown WIlmington. Lots of shops and some decent food places. Free parking as well, which is hard to come by in downtown.

    Multiple vendors.

This is a great place and a must to visit while visiting Wilmington. There are multiple levels with plenty of stores and variety for all ages and types. I loved the vintage appeal with both new and old items. Lots of wind chimes and other decorations for your home. All the stores where open and clean. Only a few had bathrooms available, so just a heads up. There are a couple of restaurants in the building, but I did not try any since I had just eaten down the street. I was going to give 4 stars, but the available parking was such a bonus I went five! Seriously, a huge parking lot available. I am not sure how packed it gets on the weekends, but during the week days ample parking and access to stores is very easy!

Cotton Exchange in Wilmington has a great selection of stores, restaurants and historic memorabilia near the Riverfront. There are about three levels and you end up on Front Street. I liked the Pure Nature shop for smoothies and enjoyed the spice shop and other little boutiques.

There were a lot of shops in the building. We strolled around here while it was raining.

While browsing, my husband lightly touched one of the display covers. Out of nowhere, an associate named Wes yelled across the store, "EXCUSE ME, YOUNG MAN!" in a sharp, scolding tone. We were both startled because there was no clear reason to address anyone that way. My husband is a grown adult, and the way Wes spoke to him made it seem like he had mistaken him for a much younger person, which still would not justify such an abrupt and disrespectful approach. When we walked over to ask what the issue was, he avoided eye contact, muttered something under his breath, and then told us that if we didn't like it, we could leave. As someone who has worked in customer service for many years, I was shocked. A simple, calm explanation would have been completely appropriate. We genuinely enjoy shopping at Dillard's, but this encounter made us feel disrespected and unwelcome. We would have appreciated any form of clarification or an apology, but none was offered. It is disappointing to see someone so abrasive, unprofessional and confrontational representing a store we both enjoyed for many years.

The selection of amazing polished crystals and gems is astounding for the size of the store, it's organized beautifully! What's more astounding is how absolutely reasonable everything is priced, with a budding young geologist in the family we are here at least once a week. Also, this is often my go to for unique pieces for gifts for special events and holidays. Don't miss the beautiful display of cameo and gem necklaces on the front left side of the store all at $20. You'd easily think they were $50+ pieces. As the owner is a jewelry maker she of course offers repairs on your own pieces as well. You're not only supporting local but you're supporting a GREAT local shop. I'm so happy to hear they're opening a second location with all their success.
