We have had the privilege of meeting and being photographed by Michelle twice. I had been following her company's Instagram account because I love the style and lighting of her photos and when I found out she was offering indoor Christmas mini sessions, I reached out to her. She was so helpful in answering my questions, as we were new to getting professional photographs taken of us since our wedding earlier that year and we wanted to incorporate our fur baby in our photos to use as holiday cards. Michelle and her husband Kellan were so patient with us and our fur baby and she captured the best photos of us and of our fur baby!! I loved every single photo! She also took our fall photos this year to celebrate our pup's 10th Birthday and we added a new fur baby to the family. I feel so lucky to have found The Cotton Collective and they had an opening for a holiday session. Michelle is amazing, gifted, professional, and thoughtful photographer. She does a very thorough questionnaire beforehand, and she really takes your feedback to ensure she delivers the best custom and personal experience as possible. My pictures are probably my favorite (outside of my wedding) because they combine natural photos + ones where we are all looking and smiling at the camera. I've had the opportunity to see Michelle work in a multitude of situations that require both the advanced technical skill to capture the perfect wedding related photos, and just as importantly, the professional tact to allow the beautiful moments to unfold naturally between the couples involved in her shoots. I have seen Michelle in action as well as the beautiful moments she captures with her photographs. I would have no one else handle our engagement photos and we are flying her out to California because she is THAT good. She is sweet and down-to-earth and easy to be around which was really important to us when choosing a photographer. Having romantic moments when there is a camera pointed at you can be inherently awkward but Michelle will make you feel entirely at ease. She photographed a friends wedding and I was struck by how "invisible" she was the whole time. Where do I begin? Michelle, Kellan and the entire team are not only an insanely talented, and professional team but they are also the nicest people you'll meet!! I love Michelle Able! Her work is incredible! Not only is she a trained professional with several years of experience and clients across the country (don't let her age fool you), but she is also an incredibly sweet, warm person who makes it easy to open up in front of a camera. She loves seeing couples and families together, and I believe she has a way of making every client feel as if they are the most special client she'd ever photographed. It's very difficult to feel comfortable and natural in posed photos, but Michelle is very relaxed and helped us loosen up. By the end of the engagement and wedding photo shoots, we were cracking jokes which allowed her to catch some gorgeous candid moments that brought life to our photos. I met Michelle while we were looking for someone to photograph our wedding. I was blown away by her gorgeous portfolio and her down to earth personality. She has always been very easy to work with, professional, friendly, and very quick to respond. She was very accommodating regarding our wedding schedule, and she has even allowed us to save my "bridal shoot" for something else in the future (e.g. "trash the dress"). She worked incredibly hard on our wedding day for a total of 11 hours! Michelle has a very keen understanding of lighting. She knows how to use the sun's natural light to her advantage in order to get soft, glowing, and flattering photographs. Each photo looks bright, crisp, and clean while still maintaining a soft, delicate feel and never being unnaturally oversaturated or smoothed over (think orange skin and most quinceañera photos - yikes!). :) She also finds a way to make each photo tell a unique story by often using shallow depth of field, allowing the subject to stand out from the soft background. Her presentation is also gorgeous. Our engagement album was printed on thick, heavy sheets of pressed board, and the cover was a soft and thick, wrapped in cream suede. The whole album was wrapped in satin. She also gave us a copy of all of our photos on a usb drive encased in a 5x5 pressed board booklet with another photo on the cover (we've hung that up as a "canvas" print, too). The total wedding package we purchased was WELL WORTH it. Michelle is an experienced professional and will provide nothing less than the best. Her wedding packages come with a plethora of goodies from canvas prints, albums, and digital copies to wedding, engagement, and bridal shoots. Having seen the garbage that other area photographers offer at a discount, I would book Michelle 100 times over. Her work is beautiful, and she's the only photographer I'll ever book again! My family and I had a photo shoot with Michelle and I can't begin to express what an amazing person she is! We have 2 young toddler boys and I was so nervous that they would not cooperate but the minute we met Michelle, I knew that wouldn't be an issue. She was exceptional with the kids and made them so comfortable that I don't even think they knew they were being photographed! Unlike other photographers that we've worked with, Michelle was extremely patient and never made us felt rushed! When we got the proofs, they were ALL so beautiful that it was such a challenge to narrow it down for a photo album! And again, Michelle took her time to guide us through the photo selections. When the final product arrived, it brought tears to my eyes! Not only did the photos capture the happiness and love of my family in such a natural way, the arragement of the photos in the album actually tells a story!
