Total re-do and it's fabulous. The new bar is beautiful. The menu has been restructured and the food is outstanding. A lot of traditional Mexican dishes on the new menu. We went for brunch today. Breakfast is served everyday until 2:00!!!! If you haven't been or it's been a while - GO!! Great service and totally reasonable prices with generous servings. P. S. I've been coming here since they've opened for business at this location. Their food and drinks are a lot better than other Mexican restaurants in Mid County in my opinion. My favorites are al pastor taco, fajita a la diabla and al pastor torta. They have daily drink specials and they sure don't skimp out on the alcohol! The speed of service is ok, slow at times but I'm never in a hurry when I come here. They serve breakfast also but I have never tried it. Business seems like it's going downhill. I'm not sure why because their food is good like I mentioned. If you haven't given them a try then I suggest you do. read more

They are open for business following the mayhem after Hurricane Harvey and what a great place to eat, have a drink, relax, and not spend too much money. Everything tasted wonderful. The service could have been quicker, but this isn't a chain restaurant. I forgive them. I liked my mango flavored water, not overwhelming with sugar. They give you a great big glass. I really wish my husband was with me, because we would have had margaritas. They looked great. Do yourself a favor and get the sopapillas for dessert. They are heavenly. read more

I give it 5 stars just for Customer service . Service has been fantastic the 3 times I've visited this restaurant. The food it's not Mexican at all , I would say it's based on Tex-Mex style. It is over priced for the quality of food . The meals that are served with rice and beans have more then half the plate served with watery refried beans , the rice is dry. It taste like it comes from a bag. I had tamal (tamale ) dinner plate which it lacked flavor , it's served with rice and beans and a crispy taco and a chalupa or bean tostada . The crispy taco and tostada are from store bought shells, just like Taco Bell . Taco Bell has crispy taco has more flavor . Not impressed with food but great customer service . read more

Great by Southeast Texas standards. Their salsa is actually fresh (vs Casa Ole) & their guacamole is just right. The fajitas I ordered were good but I would have liked to see less cheese & more onions/peppers/other fajitas veggies. Their menu had a few authentic Mexican options but mostly Tex-Mex. They also offer a BBQ rib plate, but not sure how good that would be? All in all, this is worth checking out if ever in southeast Texas & much better than the most popular tex-mex place (mentioned above). read more

My favorite mexican restaurant in the area. The TVs have varied things on them (not just Fox News, like most). The salsa is amazing and ask for the spicy - it's even better. Good chips, good margaritas, good service and good pricing. One of the few spots where you can get authentic Horchata to drink too! We'll always come back here. read more

The food was pretty good. I'm used to Mexican food in California which is much different but I was impressed with this place. Service was really really good as well. I had the shrimp cocktail and it was very fresh and a good amount . The tomato was a bit thick in it but it was good overall. Kids meal was affordable and good size as well. I've been patronizing this business since they were on Gulfway Dr in Port Arthur and back then I lived in China, Texas... Yeah they were that good. Since they moved to Nederland I patronize as often as possible. The food is good and the service has always been polite and thorough. The prices are reasonable and affordable. Fajitas are great and the guacamole is awesome, some items are better than others but that's up to everyone's own preferences. I believe that the location between Hwy 365 and Nederland Ave keeps customer traffic a little bit low since most people only see the big restaurant signs and chain restaurants. Do yourself a favor and stop here for lunch and receive prompt service without a rushed atmosphere in a warm family run restaurant. read more

I really enjoyed eating here for lunch. Ordered the daily special, burrito with beef fajita meat, rice and beans and pico for 6.36. Plenty of food for what I paid. Salsa was really good, slight spicy. I will be come a regular here. read more

Just as good as the first time we were here. I had the supreme quesadilla (it's layered). It was awesome!! My husband had the chimichanga which he thought needed to be smothered in cheese. Service wasn't as good as last time but not bad. It also seemed to take longer to get our food. We will still go back. read more

I love this place, and will continue to eat here. The food is good, the service is decent, I've never waited long for food. It's also never too crowded, and they have patio seating. Much better then some Mexican restaurants around. Update: I've been a couple of more times and the waitresses that I've had were horrible. The last one I had was rude. She got our order wrong and she informed us that we in fact did order what we received, but that she would take it back. (She brought out a shrimp dish instead of chicken) First off, I don't really enjoy shrimp all that much, especially in Mexican dishes, secondly, the name of the dish wasn't even remotely close to what we wanted. 2nd time eating here. The food is ok by my standards.. Had the California Burrito... The salsa is fresh and very good. My problem was waiting on the waitress to get me more tea... I waited 8 minutes with an empty cup.. I would have understood if it was busy, but it wasn't at all. read more

I haven't eaten a lot of things from here but what I have gotten has been good. Except the stuffed jalapeños which were literally just gas station jalapeño poppers. Fajitas are pretty good and the veggie to meat ratio is fair. Quick and friendly to boot. read more

Pretty good place to eat. Decent food and a decent staff. Papacitta's it ain't but it's well worth a visit. I have eaten it all at one point or another and it has all been good stuff. My grandkids like it and we eat there once or twice a month. It's clean and neat. It's a home town Tex-Mex place. Better than your average spot locally. read more
