We ordered a queso for the table. The chips were generic but still alright, Queso was typical but tasty nonetheless. I ordered chicken quesadillas which were very good! I'd probably drive to Beaumont just for those alone! The service was friendly but I ordered water three times and never received it. It wasn't crowded yet the server did seem somewhat overwhelmed with the few larger tables she did have, so I didn't ask again. The atmosphere is that of a typical Mexican restaurant but does seem very clean from my perspective. I'd go again at least for a to-go order or lunch again as it wasn't overly crowded. We were there around 2 pm ish though so it may be busier during actual lunch hour.

I ordered the tacos al pastor with rice and beans, and my wife ordered a chorizo and eggs breakfast burrito with added potatoes. The food was excellent. Everything tasted fresh, flavorful, and well prepared. One standout feature was the salsa bar. All of the salsas were awesomely good, which is rare. Most places have one or two solid options, but here everything was flavorful and well-balanced. They really nailed it. The staff was helpful, patient, and never rushed us while we looked over the menu. We were fortunate there wasn't a line behind us, but even so, they made us feel welcome and took the time to answer our questions. The only minor issue during our visit was waiting a few minutes to get a to-go box. However, I noticed they were busy handling both drive-thru and pickup orders, so it was understandable. Overall, this was a great experience. The food was very good, the service was friendly, and it's the kind of local place I hope gets more business because they deserve it. If you're in the area and looking for good Mexican food, Oscar's Fresh Mex is definitely worth a visit.

We placed our orders (huevos rancheros & huevos con chorizo). Then we waited. It was 45 minutes before our meals came out, but the place was full. No empty tables. The food was good, but needed salt. The red salsa and green salsa were both good, the green being very spicy, which I enjoyed. We finished our meal and waited for our ticket only to figure out after 15 minutes that they weren't bringing one, but we needed to go to the counter and pay. All in all, the food was passable, the service a bit slow. Since it's just a few blocks from my house, I'll definitely give them another try, probably lunch or dinner.

Located in a strip mall just off of I-10 in Beaumont, Marisela's is one of several food businesses…read morein a massive lot that borders hotels and a Tesla charging station. (#1) Depending on the time of day, this might be one of the only businesses open. It is far and away the best option for food in this massive parking lot. The place is simple. There are a handful of small tables that can fit a dozen folks with a counter loaded with signs / menu items. I imagine a good number of their customers are hotel walk-ins or folks charging their EVs. Their bathroom is clean and is located in the back. As the biz name suggests, tamales are their specialty. They offer chicken, pork, beef, veggie, beans, cheese & jalapeño, and cream cheese & jalapeño. Having had all of them, I think the pork and chicken are the most filling options but cheese + cream cheese & jalapeño are the show stoppers. Prices are around $9 for a half dozen and $16 for a dozen. These aren't bad prices per se, but they're not considered cheap compared to other specialty places. They are also a breakfast taco destination. For just over $3 each, they each come with egg and chorizo, potatoes, bacon, or sausage. The chorizo and egg is my personal favorite and it goes really well with their salsa verde, which has a nice kick to it. I would also emphasize checking out their specials. They offer enchiladas, pork / beef guisado, enchiladas, burritos, and tostadas. Queso, elote, and guacamole are premium sides ($3-8) but the real time to enjoy is their weekend with menudo and barbacoa. While I can't confirm for sure, I have a feeling this is a family run business. Often times I hear a child in the kitchen or an older person (grandma?), while a young lady is often the one taking my order. They accept credit cards and now offer delivery. For anyone who finds themselves in this parking lot in Beaumont, Marisela's is definitely worth a visit. ___________ (#1) https://www.yelp.com/biz/tesla-supercharger-beaumont-beaumont

Do not get it confused with the actual restaurant. So since I first started coming here, I've tried several things on the menu and the menu is not big it's a perfect size menu. I have tried their Gorditas their empanadas, their chorizo, burger & different tacos. every single thing that I've tried didn't fail every time was amazing some really good food for this area and there's not that many good places in the area of Port Arthur they serve some really good authentic Mexican food. Gorditas are cooked to perfection and made to order the masa and meat ratio is perfect. You can get it with chicken, beef, Birria, pastor, barbacoa, Chicharron, which is pork skin, but I will call and ask what meat they are serving that day and meat menu does change but for the most part, they always have chicken ,beef Each and Chicharron. Their empanadas They are huge. They're not small so you can feed two people with them. it's like a deep fried tamale. The meat is inside coded around with the masa, and then deep-fried comes with a side salad is just perfect for the tacos for the tacos. They have large tacos and small tacos. I always go for the small tacos and they always pack them with meat, cilantro, onion, no matter what meat you get them on they are all good. I do recommend them and you gotta try their chorizo burger. It's a double patty with the special sauce, lettuce tomatoes, onion, and cheese comes with a side of waffle fries and onion rings excellent and cooked to perfection. This place is right off on ninth Avenue it looks like a tiny home it's colored green. They do have two entrances one in the back and one in the front doesn't matter where you come through. They do have seating in there. They do provide free coffee and free tea they also have Agua Fresca like Fresa, lemonade Horchata, etc., the place is very clean the staff is friendly and the prices are a great. I do recommend this place if you're looking for some good Mexican food homemade and fresh. You wouldn't be disappointed. I promise you.
