A very handy corner shop and, as with most of the chain, quite a lot of stuff here is not as expensive as in many convenience stores.

This branch of (Little?) Waitrose is located fairly close to Victoria and Cardinal Walk, on…read moreVictoria Street. The store its-self is quite large, much larger than most LittleWaitrose stores I've seen in the past, including ones local to my home such as Manchester Piccadilly and Manchester Spinningfields, this store is in a way similar to a foreign style supermarket in terms of size, bigger than a convenience store, but smaller than an average supermarket. The stock range was OK - range of most item was small such as gluten-free and ready to eat food, perhaps this was because of the time of night I visited or the fact they are trying to offer a small amount of more things, such as having a selection of sandwiches and a selection of other snacks rather than a larger selection of sandwiches. They even had a sushi bar in the store, and with all due respect, I honestly don't know if it is needed in a store of its' size and the nature of the store. They also didn't sell Coca-Cola Zero, which I wanted to buy as I had a voucher which expires soon. The staff didn't seem as friendly as other Waitrose stores, they were just okay. Satisfactory store in a decent location to warrant a two-star rating.

Victoria Street could easily accommodate another Little Waitrose nearby. Great quality produce, but…read morethe store suffers from epic mid week lunch time queues. Monday mid morning the weekend fresh produce nearing its date stamp is reduced, so good bargains to be had.

I'm not going to support a business too lazy to be open early. ALSO they close at 1700!! Yes folks SEVENTEEN HUNDRED (or FIVE for you civilians). There is a Little Waitrose & Tesco Express- both would be considered more of convenient store markets. But, this Sainsbury's location is what you'd actually call a real grocery store. AND I LOVED IT!! This location is brightly lit with the 24 Bus stop right in front. A very good size. As you enter- there's a cash machine (ATM) to the left and the hot food department to the right. This is where you can buy the baked chickens and even create your own pizzas!! This section is also where you'll find the Grab & Go meals. Grab & Go is very popular here in London. You can pick from varieties of chips/ juices, waters, sodas/ and sandwiches or pasties (empanadas). As you continue walking into the store- the magazine section to the left. Self check out tills to the right and beyond that- regular cash registers. Either way, if you're paying with a U.S. card with a chip- you'll most likely need an employee to print out the the receipt for you to sign. Continue walking and you'll have the fresh produce section. Then past this- the freezer & refrigerated aisles. We stopped by these aisles tons of times! We took advantage of their microwaveable meals. I was a big fan of the Steak & Mash combo. The meat chunks were very tender, the stew was tasty and thick. The Mash was creamy & buttery. Another microwaveable meal I enjoyed was the spaghetti carbonara!! Did not disappoint!! We bought slices of cold cuts, Baby Bel cheese wheels, & chive crackers for snacky snacks. There's a huge selection of wines, beers, & hard liquors. Heck, we even bought Modelo! Everyday besides Sunday (closes 5pm) this Pimlico location closes at 11pm. Staff is really nice and I think there's underground parking....

Oh dear LORD, what a cluster!…read more The only thing this place had going for it were its location and its hours. Location - close to our hotel. Hours - open when I needed them to be open. Other than that, boo hiss and NO. The place is tiny - fine, I can deal with that. But when your super-cramped aisles are blocked by large crates, making it impossible for your customers to pass through, you get a frown from me. And when your check-out area is so backed up with people waiting to pay that there's a ruckus in the back due to confusion, you get a glare from me. And when your self-check out lanes are bogged down by the machines needing assistance, and the one employee working that area is so taken with a lady that he's COMPLETELY IGNORING everybody and everything else around him, you get a snarl from me. The poor couple to our left had the red light at their station blinking for two minutes while the employee mooned over the blonde in stilettos. They finally gave up and walked to the end of the registered line. And the people behind us were waiting to ask a question while the employee tripped over his tongue, trying to invent reasons to touch the blonde in the furs. And we were stopped cold by the machine demanding an employee's attention, while the hapless employee was busy giggling over something the blonde in too much perfume was saying. Completely, incredibly, horribly unprofessional and pathetic. We went out of our way to avoid this store for the duration of our stay.
