Costco has taken over as the pit stop for me when on a long road trip. This one is located between Calgary and Edmonton in Red Deer. This Costco has it all. They have a gas station for you to fuel up. The warehouse itself is a typical Costco warehouse setup. They have enough interesting stuff to keep me entertained for a few minutes. Their clothing selection is different from my normal Southern California selection. They had hoodies for both the Edmonton Elks, Calgary Stampeders and the Saskatchewan Roughriders (CFL football teams). The hoodies were reasonably priced compared to NFL hoodies, I ended up with one after discussing it with some of the locals. I didn't look at any more of their merchandise. The men's restroom was clean. My wife did not complain about the women's restroom. The food court had the usual hotdog, but, also had a the Canadian Costco specials of smoked meat sandwich and poutine. This Costco is a great place to stop at when on a long road trip. They have everything needed for a pit stop. read more

Staff kept sending us to different queues and counters only for us to be ignored for a long time. Getting a membership was a whole fuss and we ended up leaving. Not worth it. Don't go here. read more

this has to be the worst Costco. I've been going to Costco since the late 90s. I was removed from self check out over nine items. I was removed from self checkout and the staff mocked me. I will never be back. Western Canada's management is pathetic. read more

AGM called me a liar for his staffs mistake. Told me I have gotten my "pound of flesh" from them because of the price difference, that they messed up on. Told me Costco doesn't want customers like me for not bringing back to a location I live hours away from, and shouldn't have to drive anything back to. I will not return to this location ever just due to them paying this guy. read more

Visited again after not stopping in for a couple of years, and they have taken the self-checkout tills out. Cashier tells me that they took them out because they weren't worth it, but somehow they are now, and will be bringing them back this summer (2019). Compared to Edmonton, the lines are short, and fast, so I prefer stopping in here. Parking spots with wide enough lines to open your door without crushing the next car are always a bonus. Still, as all Costco's go, haven't mastered the cart corrals yet - if someone has to walk more than 25 steps they'll just ditch the cart wherever... *I* don't mind walking a bit, but some folks are just...lazy. read more

Gasoline bar should have extended hours. At the pumps at 630 Friday (long weekend), I saw seven cars one by one pick up the gas spigot and try a fill. No cones by the pumps or signs to indicate closure. I saw a girl walk back to the trailer and she indicated to me she does not get paid to put cones out or let people know they are closed. Weird..just weird. I love my Costco to run smooth as I am a loyal member of corporate greed. read more

Love this place, even on a busy day, I've been lucky enough to find that even though I try to park at a distance, the walk is easy, and that the tills move freely.. the cashiers are so friendly ... not to mention the wonderful sample offerings! :-) read more
