London Drugs has everything from computer and electronics to grocery and beauty products to appliances and cleaning supplies but the pharmacy is the heart of their business. It has an interesting history behind it like how it got its name. The store was named after London, England, the home of Canada's King, George VI. Founded in 1945 it started off as a small drugstore to what they are now. We purchased some snacks to take home later. The shelves are fully stocked. The pharmacists in this store are exceptional and have served Nanaimo for a very long time. They are never to busy to take time in person or on the phone to answer your questions. This store is fully stocked but also takes the time to special order in products that they don't normally carry if t\a customer is looking for something; and always done with a smile! I can't say enough good things about the employees in this store including the pharmacy, cosmetic department, home health department, and checkouts. If you want friendly service in an easy to shop in environment, give the Pharmasave on Bowen Road a try; you won't be disappointed.

This has been my pharmacy of choice for several years because of the pharmacy manager Carmen. She is so committed to our care. She will not mince words in order to please you or support your friends' garbage health advice. She is no BS, to the point. Too bad for those people who want a butt-kisser, but I'm okay if they go elsewhere to find one. Thank-you for being there for us. Remember: These pharmacy people/staff are working at risk, for our benefit. They are not immune and may fall sick as easily as anyone. Sadly, I keep witnessing some very poor customer behaviour on my visits. I must go regularly, so I see some, too many, customers being unreasonable, demanding and selfish. Shame on you. Behave with honour and have some dignity. Other customers are watching you and know your poor behaviour is so wrong. They are far better staffed and seem actually interested in helping the customer. I had called about a $250 product. I asked if it was in stock. I was told it was going to be a few minutes and understandably as it was explained to me that they were shortstaffed. By the way, they are consistently shortstaffed. Which points to a sign of bad management if they can't keep staff. I was told the product was in stock. But I wasn't convinced by the tone. I was told the manager had to check and confirmed, but I asked them to double check and scan the item to make sure it was the one I wanted & the advertised price before I drove for 40 minutes to pick it up. Long story short, it was not the correct item, the item I wanted was not in stock. Never again.

When I arrived one of the employees, Ryan, was happy to serve me and suggest a few printers. He was extremely helpful and friendly the entire time, and I ended up purchasing a brand-new Brother printer. He walked me through the entire process and explained the warranty details clearly. Thank you Ryan for your wonderful customer service!! I will be returning to this Staples and highly recommend it to anyone looking for office supplies.
