I made an appointment for 1:30 for a tire rotation and arrived on time. I was told the service would take about an hour, but my car didn't even go into the work bay until around 2:15. Afterward, the staff told me I needed to return after driving 25 miles for a quick check--no appointment needed. After the rotation, my tire pressure indicator light came on. So, as instructed, I returned once I'd driven the 25 miles. When I walked into the office, I stood at the counter while the staff member looked at his cell phone. After a minute or two, he finally looked up but still didn't say anything. I had to initiate by saying, "I'm here for my 25-mile checkup," and honestly, I felt like I was interrupting him. He put down his phone, asked if I had actually driven the 25 miles (which was obvious from why I was there), and then sent a technician out to check my car. When the tire technician came out, I told her the tire pressure indicator light had come on. She told me that a tire rotation has nothing to do with the indicator light. I've since learned that's not entirely accurate. While a rotation shouldn't cause a TPMS sensor to fail, it can trigger the need for a relearn/reset, and sensors can be disturbed during handling. Pressure changes during the process can also set off the system. So her blanket statement wasn't fully correct. She suggested I replace all four tire pressure sensors since my car is older and the system couldn't identify which one had the dead battery. Given the age of my car, I agreed, and to their credit, they were able to get the work done right away ($258.28). Overall, I think replacing the sensors was the right call, but I didn't appreciate the misinformation about tire rotations having "nothing to do" with TPMS issues. Combined with the delays and the less-than-welcoming customer service, the experience left something to be desired. read more

Really not great Customer Service. They would rather lecture you than help you. They didn't even change my sticker for my next service. Overall, my experience made me feel like they did not want my business. I am regretting buying tires with them. Next time I will definitely choose to do America's tire company instead, they have way better customer service and I had way better experiences when I was with them. I bought tires at Costco this time cause I really like most of Costco's programs and I thought that I would like this one as well but I did not. And honestly, it wasn't really cheaper than America's tire company. Yep. This is a great place to get your tires! I recently broke my leg and I am unable to go to the center personally. So, I called and spoke with Alex, who gave me the skinny on how to purchase the tires online, make an appointment, and then have my best friend go there to get all four tires replaced. I made an appointment over the phone for the day before a snow trip our family is making. I asked if they had a specific tire in stock which was confirmed in the size I needed. I was also quoted the out the door price. My wife with our two kids planned to drop the car off and shop at Costco until the service was completed. When she showed up, no appointment was booked, the tires were not in stock and have to be ordered, and no tires in our car size were in stock. Now we have to go elsewhere and hope we can find tires in stock and likely have to pay a much higher price. I took my car to get the tires rotated and the staff broke my wheel stud. I was never given the different options, only that the stud was too tight to remove and that they needed my authorization to try to remove it. I was not clearly informed that it is my responsibility to have that replaced the broken stud somewhere. It is the same place that I had the tire rotation last year and never touched ever since. And very disappointed to this tire shop for not following the company philosophy--taking care of customer. read more

Costo Tires, Rancho Cordova, CA, February 13, 2024 When we got our Toyota Prius serviced this week, we got a report back that the front tires were starting to show some low tread. So we called Costco tires in Rancho Cordova and made an appointment to have them replaced. They pretty much only do appointments now, so make sure you do that if you can. They'll still take walk-ins, but they can't make any promises in terms of how quickly they can get to you. I had verified ahead of time that they had the tires in stock that we needed. Always a good thing to do these days with supply shortages that sometimes occur. Their prices are always competitive, and I like their lifetime service agreement. We arrived at about 9 AM and dropped the car off pretty quickly. You pay upfront, so when you come back to pick it up, everything is taken care of and they just give you the keys. The car was done in about 45 minutes. Everything was done to our satisfaction. We were given a sticker for when to have the tires rotated. They recommend every 7500 miles. read more

I had my tires rotated today and received exceptional service from supervisor Evelyn, manager Brian and the two technicians that rotated tires. I give them a billion stars for this excellent service! Evelyn let me know that the reason my tires had lower than usual tread is because my alignment is off. Also, Evelyn let me know that I bought 4 gaskets about 4 years ago and I thought it was sensors but it was in fact a gasket for each tire that I actually bought. Evelyn knows a lot about cars and is very helpful and I can tell she loves working there and helping customers. Now I know I need all 4 new sensors, new alignment, and new tires. I'm giving three stars only for the young gal who helped me when I came to pick up my car. She was juggling a seven customer line, several phone calls, paperwork and flat tire assessments all at once, and with skilled customer service grace. She was freaking awesome. When I stopped by initially, I was helped by a late thirties early forties gentlemen who had absolutely no customer service skills. He came from the actual shop area into the office/cash register area. I realize the tire techs may have to man both areas, which might not be fun but it doesn't validate his unfriendliness. The guy was very short with me, clearly irritated he had to stop what he was doing to help me. He asked me slightly quizzical questions that almost had a tone of, "you're a female in a tire shop". When I finished the paperwork and began to walk away, I forgot to give him the keys in which he asked in an extremely annoyed tone for. The tires themselves look great, and were a pretty reasonable price, no issue with that. It took approx. 2 hours for them to install on a Tuesday afternoon. So: tires great, girl tech was great, guy tech was having a bad day... ish. read more

I've been here over the years for sets of new tires, and flat repairs. The manager and staff are always courteous and helpful.

We to new tires last month. We went into the store/tire center in front of the store to order our tires. They had our tires in stock. There even was a $80 discount on 4 tires at our price point. The associate was very helpful and polite, he even went out to our car to make sure we didn't have a wheel lock. Then we came back for the appointment 3 days later. It was a smooth transaction and as promised it took about 1hr 3min for the installation. The car drives much smoother with the new tires. They also balance the tires for you when they install them. They also put air in our spare. Disposal of our old tires was included in the price. We enjoyed the close tire service parking area. I highly recommend the tire center and we will be back. read more

I had a flat tire from what appeared to be another darn nail. I drove to the Citrus Heights tire location, and they were PACKED. The person working the desk had to multitask and triage us. They recommended I go to this location because they're typically not as swamped, and let me tell you, I had such a great experience here! I drove over to this location and arrived by 7pm. There was no other cars there at the time. They had just finished helping another person who was about to pick up their car. Pao helped me out and quickly did the inspection and told me that my tire was busted and quickly replaced it. It took at most 30-35 minutes or so. He was super friendly and so helpful! Highly recommend this location for your tire services. Probably wouldn't go anywhere else besides Costco for tires. Such good deals and great warranty! read more

Had a great experience at this location. My vehicle has tires with "acoustic foam" to reduce road noise, and when a vibration suddenly appeared one day I suspected the foam had come loose. When I called to see if Costco Tire Center could do anything about this, I was able to speak to the supervisor over the phone and she confirmed that it was something they could address. She was able to get me a quick appointment, and for a very reasonable price they took my car in, confirmed the problem, removed the foam from the affected tires, and rebalanced all tires. They even finished the work in the estimated time, which is more than I can say about some other shops! Very happy with this experience and especially the supervisor on shift the morning of 11/5/24. I will gladly return to this location for my tire needs in the future! read more

I just wanted to take a moment to reach out and recognize an exceptional experience I had with a Costco Tire Center employee this evening. Tonight, I called into the Costco Tire Center around 7:30PM and asked if I could get in to have a tire that seemed to be losing air looked at. The gentleman who answered the phone stated that they would be closing soon and I would need to be quick; I told him I'd be in within the next 10 minutes. Upon arrival, they were quick to accommodate me and get me in. They took the tire off and found the leak. By this time it was 8:00PM, but they were understanding on getting it repaired so I could get back on the road and off to work the next morning. I know Costco takes pride in recognizing their personnel and I just want to say thank you to Xavier and Ben in the Tire Center. Your willingness to assist even when it was late in the evening means a lot to me as a customer and I hope they recognize the hard work you do as the face of the company. I'll absolutely come back to you in the future for our automotive tire and battery needs! This was not my first visit to this location, but it was the best. I got there when it opened and there was no one ahead of me so the rotation and balance took about 15 minutes. Most excellent. Previous visits were not as stellar but fine, and you can't beat the prices when there's a special on. After 4 sets of tires I will continue to patronize Costco Tires. read more

This is a review for the tire center. Costco is the right place to buy so many items. They really stand behind the products they sell and have policies in place to be certain members are treated well. The return policy is simply amazing and I've always been treated fairly. My most recent experience with the tire center confirmed why I will continue to buy tires for my vehicle at Costco. The tires are on the higher end in terms of quality but still fairly priced. They seem to have coupons in rotation that seems to always allow a little relief on the total cash outlay. Their installation costs / disposal fees are in line with my experience at other stores. It tends to get busy on the weekends and that's why I am for this store during the week if at all possible. So I bought a set of tires back in September and paid about $500 + for a set of 4. Driving away I could tell the tires we quality and hitting the freeway the car drove so smoothly. Fast forward to last week when something "bit" my tire and caused an almost immediate flat. I pulled over and swapped out the flat for the emergency spare. From there I rolled into Costco to have them take a look. Visual inspection didn't show anything unusual so they rolled it inside. Once inside it became apparent the sidewall was cut and the tire could not be saved. Right away I was thinking great now I have to lay out more money for another tire. Instead they looked up my purchase date in the computer, reviewed the tire wear and said it would be about 30 minutes to mount and balance a a new tire and my total cost would be $4.31 out the door. Twenty minutes later I was rolling away as if the flat never happened. They even put away my spare and the assortment of tools strewn around the trunk from my manufacturers little spare tire "kit". All the staff was friendly energetic and eager to get things done, correctly, promptly and with great attitudes. You've certainly earned my business for future purchases! read more

This location is very unprofessional. Technicians are not trained and overall service is very inadequate. They will absolutely damage your vehicle if not supervised by you. Typically only two to three bays open, likely due to incompetent technicians employed. No quality control. They will only perform what is bare minimum, for example they rotated my spare due to a flat tire but when I drove away my low tire pressure sensor was alarming. Tire was very visibly low, had to stop at a gas station to inflate. Technician stated he had no tool to change my tire and I had to guide him as to where my factory jack and tire iron were located to assist with the rotation. Technician still was unable to replace tire and had to wait for supervisor to perform the service as he was obviously unaware on how to perform a tire change. Other technician literally performed a 5 point turn in my vehicle which had a tire that was severely blown out. Had to spot her in order to prevent any further damage to my rim due to attempting to operate the vehicle in an incompetent manner. If you need air or maybe a basic rotation then this may be the service center for you. As for a Costco member who is trusting your vehicle to staff in hopes of quality service, beware! read more

An employee named Chris checked my tires and was able to get me in right away to do the alignment. I highly recommend buying tires from Costco, they have excellent service! Made an appt for 9:30am. Christopher made the process quick and easy. He said they would give a call when finished and gave a time estimate of 1 hour. Waited all day for the phone call, no phone call. I went to pick up my car before closing. First they gave me the wrong key. Second, they didn't even check my papers to verify it was my car. So anyone can just come in and say they are picking up a car and be handed the keys? I should try that next time I see a nice car outside. I asked if I get any paperwork of the work they done. Nope. And I why I wasn't given a phone call when it was ready. He just shrugged his shoulder said they must've forgot. Maybe I'm just used to better service like when I go to Toyota and Les Schwab. I walked out so confused of the service I was given and not sure what to make of it. I'll try a different Costco next time and see how that goes. read more

I docked 1 star because two of the hub caps weren't fastened securely (only top was secure, the bottom was popping out). I would have docked more stars if a loose hub cap had decided to go play Frisbee on hwy 50, but since I noticed them coming off right away there's no harm. My story started out with a phone call last week to check if they had my tire in stock? After 5 minutes waiting on hold, the guy apologizes for the wait time, and says they were out, but I could order the specific tires I wanted online. (The Michelin LT2 is the exact same tire as the Michelin LTX M/S2, except that the LT2 is $20 less because it's a club branded name sold just for Costco, whereas the LTX M/S2 you can buy at other tire centers like Discount Tire, Sears, etc). Ordered online, they arrived in 6 days. Get an email that they're ready. I call in to see if they have time to change my tires today. Person on phone verifies my tires arrived, says they're in the receiving bay but he's bringing them up front and I can drop my car off before 7:00. When I get there after work at 6:20, they say they're booked for the day. I said the guy on phone said I could come in by 7:00 and here I am, so the guy says okay, checks my car in, finds and shows me my 4 tires, they're waiting up front by the installation bay like guy on phone said, and asks if I have any special instructions for mounting the tires, torque, want to keep any old ones?, etc.. Next thing, get a call at 7:45; car is ready go to. Everyone there was friendly. Plus, they were kind enough not to slap the sticker notifying me of the next tire rotation due date on my windshield. read more

He came out made sure we got into our spare tire and repaired our tire so we could make it to our appointment on time. The tire shop at this White Rock Road Costco is terrible! This worker named Christopher, ponytail, glasses, older is a liar and is pathetic with customer service! I brought in a tire that i have bought from Costco for a repair. It was flat. There was a gentleman in front of me in the line. I overheard his conversation with Christopher. The gentleman wanted to replace just two tires on his vehicle. Christopher told him he has to replace all four tires because the car is a 4 wheel drive. The gentleman insisted on replacing just two. Then Christopher accused him of being ignorant of his own vehicle and told him he needs to show him where in the owner's manuel that says it's ok to change just two tires. Christopher also told him that he's wasting his time to change just two. The gentleman left in frustration without purchasing anything. It is known that you CAN replace just two tires when it's on the same axle. Well, now it's my turn. Christopher took one look at my tire and said it was not worth fixing and told me I needed a new tire. The tire still has a 1/4 inch of tread, plenty of life left. I asked him if he could take a closer look to see if he could find where the puncture might be. He just said to me, "I don't want to waste your time!" I said to him that I will take it somewhere else and left. Took it down the street to America's Tire, repaired for free in 15 minutes! Do not buy tires from this Costco, go to a real tire shop. read more
