Came in to buy two used michelin tires that were posted on Facebook install them on front of the car, and balance rear wheels. There were two guys working on the car one on front one guy on rear wheels. They ended up using wrong socket for the rear when tightening all the lug nuts, cannot remove any lug nuts on the rear right now thats one thing, second few days later my front both tires started loosing air, i came back to them to see maybe it wasn't sealed properly l, i was told that o bought tires months ago and there is no warranty on them, if i wanted them to check I would have to pay for it. It was litterly few day go that i was there. They checked the reciept and they didn't put the date on it when i was there. Basically i dont recommend this place to anyone dont waist time, they dont care about customers.

As fate would have it, I took the car to the dealership for a recall and they discovered that one of the tires had a small bubble. I figured this would be the perfect opportunity to celebrate almost two years with the car by treating her to some new tires. I reached out to Chris who quoted me $1,200 (including manufacture warranty) for four thick profiled performance tires, which was $1,300 cheaper than the quote that I received from the dealer. Chris quickly placed the order for the tires and called me the next day to inform me that they had arrived. Since the establishment is generally very busy on the weekends, I decided to visit on a weekday in hopes for a quicker experience. Thankfully, there was only one car ahead of me when I arrived. Chris instructed me to pull the car into the shop and immediately began removing the tires (I'm always impressed by a hands-on owner). Less than 30 minutes later, the job was done and I was in the office checking out. As Chris implied, I can confirm that the ride quality of my car has significantly improved. I have been a customer for seven years and have referred many friends and family to the shop. If you're looking for competitive prices and exceptional customer service, I highly recommend visiting South West Tire Shop!

i can't say enough good things about this shop! i've had a different shop i've used for years on…read moremy daily drivers, my hot rods & that has even done some work on my harley's. i had a camping trip down the coast planned in june of this year (2026) in my camper-van. the day before leaving i started hearing grinding in my front brakes. out of convenience because they were open on sunday & close to my church -- i dropped my van off before church and had elk grove tire & wheel do my pads & rotors. i was so thankful they did an amazing job and i was still be able to hit the road on my trip later that day! BUT WAIT THERE'S MORE!!! fast forward 2 months & while doing a tire rotation at home i noticed a deep groove in one of the front rotors. i took it back to elk grove tire & wheel & their best guess was that something from the road got stuck in between the pad & the rotor. even though it was of no fault to them or their shop -- they replaced both sets of pads & rotors again since a deep groove in a rotor that's only 2 months old isn't something they want their customers to have to deal with. i won't bring my vehicles anywhere else but here for anything wheel/tire related from here on out. i'm blown away and grateful. thank guys for standing behind your work!! that goes such a long way!!

What was most disappointing wasn't even the noise itself--it was the response when I returned to the shop. I was told that "all cars do that" and that I would need to pay for a diagnostic. No one offered to recheck the wheel installation, inspect their work, or verify that the vehicle was safe to drive. I'm not claiming the shop caused the problem, but mistakes can happen during any service. Tire installations and rotations involve human work, and I expected at least a basic inspection when a new noise appeared immediately after the service. Instead, my concerns were dismissed. As a customer, it's frustrating to leave wondering whether the vehicle is safe to drive and feeling like no effort was made to investigate the issue. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend this shop. Don't go here please go across the street your safety is very important!!!!! Thank you for your response. To clarify, my concern was never that a tire rotation requires disassembly of suspension or steering components. My concern was that a knocking noise appeared immediately after the tire installation and rotation, despite the vehicle not exhibiting this symptom beforehand. I did not ask for a free suspension diagnosis. I asked that the shop verify the work that had just been performed. As a customer, I expected basic checks such as wheel torque, wheel seating, and tire clearance before being directed toward a paid diagnostic service. Had someone simply said, "Let's double-check our work first and make sure everything related to the tire service looks correct," I likely would have had a very different impression of the experience. I understand that the noise may ultimately be unrelated to the tire service. However, when a new symptom appears immediately after service, I believe it is reasonable for a customer to expect the work performed to be verified before additional charges are discussed. I we genuinely looking for a place to take my business fleet and thought I found one
