I've been to this Firestone multiple times over the past couple of years, and every time I've been very happy with my experience! I've always been treated kindly and received great support from everyone. I've been here to get air in my tires, to get new tires, and to repair a tire (which turned out to be a leaking rim). Johnny has always been helpful, and Nate really went above and beyond to help me when I needed a new rim. This is my go-to place for auto repair! read more

I bought a battery and warranty for nearly $300. 8 months later the battery is giving me issues. I have to jump it every week. I went it to swap the battery out and they refuse to swap it until it's completely dead. I run a trucking business and need reliability for both my work trucks and personal vehicles to get to the yard, which is why I spent extra money to ensure this. Apparently this was a mistake because I can go to auto zone and get a battery for around $100 with a year warranty where they will exchange without question. Lesson learned read more

I've been coming to Firestone for over a year now. Had to get new tires last year and this year they repaired 2 tires (one needing a full replacement) and did my brakes and some other items. Each time has been a little different of a visit/issue but they were always able to take care of it with a reasonable cost. Would recommend getting the "Forever 'free' alignment for the life of the car" - meaning you pay like $130 once but you get to have free alignments for the entire duration of your car. Mines def on the older side (2016 & a Ford ) but I'll run this car into the ground...so why not get some extra security for the tires? Would recommend but call ahead for an appt and drop it off early if you can. The close at like 6 so if you wait till after lunch, and need a LOT of work, it might leak into the next day. read more

Firestone is the BEST place to have any work done on your car!! I used to get a sinking sick feeling anytime I had a car problem, with Firestone doing the work it is painless and enjoyable. They are scammers‼ I was suppose to get a brake inspection. At the end of the 15 minute inspection. First he told me they couldn't get the tires of because it needed a key. So why didn't he asked me for the key? How do you know I need work done if you didn't even remove the tires? They told me I needed brakes, rotors and tires. Estimated at almost 900$ worth of work. I took my car down the Chevy dealership and there was nothing wrong with my car. Don't take your car to these crooks ‼ read more

If you're an early riser like myself and hate driving around looking for open businesses, look no further, they're open at 7 and the service is fast and affordable! Jonah has impeccable customer service , we talked so much the time flew by for my synthetic oil change, my favorite part was the mechanic not coming back with a bunch of random stuff out of my car looking to upsell me !! If I could give negative stars I would. I had an appointment at 11:00 for a simple oil change. The rep told me it would take an hour or maybe an hour and a half. Fast forward to after 4:00 and they had only just brought my vehicle into the bay. They had my car for more than five hours and did absolutely nothing with it. The excuses were ridiculous and the service was beyond disappointing. Save yourself the headache and go literally anywhere else. This place is a textbook example of how not to run a shop. Ten out of ten do not recommend. read more

Never take your vehicle to firestone off of folsom blvd in rancho cordova. I've had two major issues happen on two different vehicles caused by them. 1st issue happened a while back on a fiat 500 abarth, they stripped one of the screws from my air filter and didn't seat the air filter correctly causing debris into my turbo, i wanted a simple oil change and that was all, i told them to leave the air filter alone because it has a k&n replaceable oil filter. i called and complained and they stated it would never happen again and kind of put me at ease. the next time i took the car back in for an oil change i made sure they were not to touch the air filter, i put some tape and wrote not to touch the air filter. i also demanded that a note was put on my service ticket not to touch the filter. After the oil change i drove my car home i decided to pop the hood and remove the tape, too my surprise i found stuff written all over my air filter box and the tape: look self fix, whatever written in black permanent sharpie. i called the service manager and cussed him out that last time fire stone techs almost fucked up my car and i don't want them to touch the filter and wanted to make sure they didn't. Well stupid me decided to bring in a different vehicle just recently because i'm getting ready to drive on a long road trip and spent a lot of money there. Something told me i shouldn't go there but really had no choice because i needed it done right away but couldn't get in anywhere else till Tuesday, have to be on the road this sunday. well one of the services i paid for was an ac recharge, they screwed that up and almost blown the blower motor. johnny the service manager tried to feed me some bull crap story and said the sounds i were hearing were normal and the loud rumble sound was normal due to high pressure from the ac. i was fine before i brought there, no noise and my truck didn't shake when the ac was turned on. it took me 4 hours of my own time to fix the issue they caused: the cabin air filter was not fully tight and they didn't bother to clean the debris that fell on the the blower motor housing. it's so damn easy they could've used a shop vacuum to clean everything out after taking the cabin air filter out, but they ran the crap out the blower and made the debris get further lodged. so after spending all this money at firestone, i had to fix there mistake and replace the blower motor. i will never go to another firestone ever again. i'm actually taking my vehicle to another shop somewhere else to see if firestone actually did the rest of the stuff correctly. firestone didn't even try to attempt to make things right, instead i got the service desk assistant where they were trying to tell me another made story that occurred read more

Came in without an appointment for an alignment I was in and out quickly . Due to my lack of looking at the calendar three days after the year anniversary so I had to pay for a new alignment. I was so impressed with the integrity and customer service at this location on Sunday morning. They fixed a problem tire that went flat, but was inconsistent with air leakage. They fixed the valve and other things around the valve and I was able to home (90 miles) without the tire light coming on once on the highway. They only charged me $20 for the flat tire repair, but they did such a great job and even checked all four tires for me. And the ongoing problem seems to have been fixed once and for all. Firestone auto care is an amazing company overall. But not this location. Every time I have taken a vehicle in to this particular location there is an issue, a delay, or they can't help right away. Today I went in just for someone to take a look at my tire, as it has a slow leak. And maybe get some air. Nope. Can't help for a few hours at least. I took a different vehicle in to a different firestone just last month and they handled it immediately. Even pulling one car out of a bay to fix my tire and get me on my way in under 20 minutes. This guy didn't want to offer a spec of help. Too bad. Lost my business here. 5 vehicles, a new set of tires or 2 almost every single year for atleast one of them. Brakes, alignment, oil changes. Not coming here any more. Edit: I originally posted this from the lobby of a tire shop just down the street. There are four within 1/4 of a mile. They looked at my tire found a nail repaired it and had me on my way in nine minutes. I'm not sure why this could not have been done at fire stone. although I don't completely expect them to just stop and drop what they are doing, a 10 minute repair in and out versus working on repairs in the garage that are taking 3 to 4 hours would not have been a major inconvenience to the mechanics. read more

Based on my one time using this Firestone location. I got my alignment checked at the America's Tire down the street that informed me that I need a Camber kit to make the rear wheels aligned, and that even if they had the part they could not install it. So I found the part at a nearby Auto Zone and then found this Firestone on Yelp on the same street. Even though they have only 3 stars on Yelp, I was in a pinch and needed service today. They quoted $210 to install the Camber Kit and do an alignment. Not only was this a better price than another shop I had called but they could take me today! About 2 hours later they called and said that they need a part that they do not have and said they also can't find the part elsewhere, that it's special order, but they'll keep looking and get back to me. They asked me to pick up vehicle and charged me $25 for the wheel alignment inspection. They definitely helped me out, but I didn't come for an I selection, I came for an alignment. They couldn't perform the alignment, so I should have paid zero. I did pay the $25 because I felt they helped me out, but both America's Tire and Wes Schwab do not charge for inspection. Firestone should step up their standard. read more

Shout out to the Firestone Auto Care on Folsom Blvd for their excellent service. They have been servicing my vehicles for 8 years, and have always been professional, competent and very helpful. My last visit was at the end of a tow in on 4/6/23 for my Jeep. They quickly discoverd the problem, and then went the extra mile to find a needed part and install it quicky. My car was pulling to the right. I thought it was the alignment, and scheduled an alignment appointment with them. Turns out it was not the alignment because my car was still pulling. So I scheduled a full inspection to figure out the problem. I had all different tires. Needed all new set of tires. Cool. They gave me a small discount which was kind. As I'm driving home, my tire pressure monitor service light came on. I've never had this light come on in my car before. I've owned my car for almost 4 years so I have definitely gotten tires before, and never had this come up. I called & they said they just needed to reset the light. I bring it in as soon as I can the following week. One of the mechanics could not reset the light so that meant it needed to be serviced. They weren't able to do it that day as I wasn't scheduled for an appointment, which is fine. They told me to just swing by and bring it in so they can fix it. This was the week of Thanksgiving so I brought it in the following week. I leave my car there for them to figure out the light. I get a call saying my entire sensor is missing and it will be $150 to replace it. They said it must have been the person who did it last...... (which would be at least 6 months ago.... Light would have come on then, right??) They also said that the tire pressure monitor service light was on since the first time I brought it in, which is not true. I had my copy of the inspection sheet and it was clearly not marked on my copy. I also drive my car every day (duh) and know what lights are on, and when they do appear. Also, If the light was on when I initially brought it in, wouldn't that have been seen and reported in the initial full inspection? Yes, it would have. And I have that document as well to prove that light was NOT on when I brought my car in. They just kept repeating over and over that the light was on, the light was on, it's marked on their sheet, they don't know why it's not marked on mine. When I pointed out the fact of it not being mentioned in the inspection findings also proves me right, they had nothing to say but repeating themselves over and over. They clearly are the ones who caused damage to my tire pressure monitor sensor and even with papers to prove it, they would not accept fault, and wanted me to pay out-of-pocket to fix it. it doesn't make any sense and I was highly disappointed with the way they handled this considered I had just paid them $1000 in services over the last 2 weeks. read more

Garbage!! Wish I could give them negative reviews. Took in a Mini Cooper to get a battery replacement. I informed staff when dropping off that I just needed a new battery and that the new battery has to get registered to the cars computer. I asked them if they had the equipment for that and I was informed that they did have the equipment and that they would take care of it. About 3 months later I notice my my engine idling at a higher RPM than normal and decide to look into it on my next day off. Next morning taking my child to school, I'm coming up to a red light and my brakes go completely hard. Putting all my weight into foot pedal to stop luckily it's a manual transmission so I start breaking hard with the engine. When I come to a stop engine light is on. I end up taking my Mini to a my regular mechanic where he discovers that the new battery that was installed was leaking battery acid. That battery acid spilled everywhere and ended up eating through one of my vacuum lines which caused the high engine idling and my brakes to get hard along with other damage from battery acid. I assumed the battery was defective since I had just purchased it. Once my mechanic had an OEM battery installed and car powered up he checked the cars computer and checked the history to see if the battery had been registered to it since he could not find any other reason for this to have happened. After checking the history he discovered that the battery from Firestone had not been registered to the car, causing damage to the battery and luckily the damage to my car was not worse. I contacted stoped by at Firestone to get this handled now that I had a bill of approximately $1,400 for negligence on their end. I was informed that it was not their fault and that they did register the battery to the vehicle and to call their headquarters. Headquarters was a joke and just tried to reimburse me with the price of the battery and tried to intimidate me by saying that if I had to give them an opportunity to inspect my vehicle of the damage before the repairs and that if I took them to court I would lose and it would be a waste of not only my money buIt also my time. I contacted The Bureau Of Automotive Repairs (BAR) where I was assigned an investigator who was completely awesome and handled everything. Luckily my mechanic is awesome as well and had video of all damage before repairs along with audio of him describing and explaining all damage he found. I was reimbursed money for repairs thanks to BAR. I have had other experiences here with other vehicles but I don't have evidence. I believe that this place just changes parts out without fully running a good and complete inspection and without 100% knowing what the issue is or was. These employees are there for a paycheck and that's it. That's why I take my cars to mom and pop shops where they need to and want to do a good job to keep their place up and running. read more

Car Owners Beware. Stay away. Came in for a couple of simple maintenance tasks on a used car I recently purchased. I got convinced to do their "Complete Vehicle Inspection," which was $22.00. These things I had no issue with. The thing I did have issue with is how Adam lied about how dire some parts of my car needed to be replaced. He said there was about 2mm left on my brake pads(which is basically nothing). However, after having the brake pads replaced at a non-corporate location, I saw they had well over 3cm left. Also the replacement parts that I was quoted for are double the price from manufacturer. A $300 radiator for $600!!??? It's a shame this Firestone really tries to push sales. read more

Just waited over 6 hours to have brakes replaced as I requested on my company car. Instead I'm told they were waiting on a pressure test elsewhere on the car to be approved . I called before going and stated my situation about distance to get there and the need for brakes. Was told by 2:30 that the brakes will be delivered from another place about 20 minutes away and I should have the vehicle back in about an hour and 20 minutes Over 3 hours later I'm told the pressure passed and won't be able to fix the main reason I went there. The crew did their jobs, the manager should be fired and demoted to putting air in tires as he is full of it, I am a manager myself and to see a person in your waiting room for so long and not question it , until time to get ready to close , is not a good manager. I do like Firestone but from now on will go elsewhere to other locations. This guy is just not a people person and my car was 6 ft from him sitting at his pedestal the whole time on a lift. I know what my crew is up to all day and what needs attention. To send me home with no brakes and I drove over an hour and a half to have this done, and this is down right disgraceful on Firestone and all because of lack of leadership. read more

I had my car serviced here for an oil and filter change along with some basic inspection. Next day morning my car gets a tire pressure warning symbol. C'mon, did I bring the car here to get more issues? Now i need to go back here to get this fixed. I don't want to go to a shop where i have to end up going twice for a service. Update: I took my car again and they claim that one of the tire sensor stopped working. It stopped working ever since I took my car here and now they say it costs $120 to fix it. Is this a joke? Im sure this wasnt a coincidence because I've had the car for 10+ years. Never with this shop again. To the owner - I know you're reading this. After reading the reviews, I'm kind of wondering if my alternator was really bad. I turned on my engine and the battery light popped up. I drove to firestone and they told me I would have to leave my car there because they're busy. I was fine with that. They called me at around 9:30 and told me I needed a new alternator. All they said was the alternator was bad/cracking. I asked how much it would cost because I am not familiar and didn't want to risk driving the car. The guy told me it would be $680 so I did it. At around 1:20pm, I called to check on the status of my car. They told me that the parts are coming in and my car should be done in about 45min and they would call me. Two hours past and my car still isnt done. It wasn't done until 4pm. read more

I visited your Firestone location on Folsom BLVD today, June 10th. I arrived about 11:30am and was told it would be about 2 hours for my services to get four new tires put on my scion xb. That was fine, my two kids, fiance, and I (being 39 weeks pregnant) waited in the lobby. Two hours went by, three hours went by, and at close to four hours later, your technician comes out to tell me something had been broken, they had to order a part and that's why it had taken so long. Not at ANY point did someone come tell me what was going on, show me what was broken, or why it was taking so long. So they let me, and my two kids who were getting restless, sit there through lunch instead of giving us a heads up that something was off. We could have went somewhere for lunch or something. We waited, finally got my car back, and as I go to drive away I hear something that is hitting something else in the car. It is quick to realize the valves that were put in with the new tires were too long, so they were catching on the brakes. Your technician had the audacity to tell me "Oh it's okay it won't hurt anything." Except that if we were to actually take off in the car and drive it, those valves would have ripped out so fast. When your technician starts talking to us, telling us that the valves that were on my car prior were very short, he had only seen them that short a few times, he should have told me when he was replacing my tires that they did not have the correct size. A technician should have been able to notice something like this instead of wasting my damn time. The tech called around, found the right size, and they "fixed" the error, but then as I go to drive away the second time, now being late afternoon, my tire pressure light comes on (which it hadn't before...) And your techs tell me that "Oh sometimes you just have to drive it a couple miles and it'll go away." Bullshit, that is NOT how this works. The customer service here is ridiculous and not okay. When I called to speak to the store manager, Johnny Legay, he is "off on vacation." I am completely not okay with the service received. Absolutely f*cking ridiculous and not okay. I am waiting for a call from your manager and will not be letting this go. Something needs to be done for the lack of professionalism and care your technicians are taking. *My fiance just went and looked at the car to see if maybe there was a sensor problem, he pops the hood open and the brake fluid cap was left off! Are you kidding me?? **My fiance went back twice because the sensor for the tire is broken. The technicians acted like they don't have to fix whatever they broke, even though everything in my car worked perfect before I came to their facility for tires. We were told to come back Monday when their senior technician is there. This is ridiculous. read more

Picking where you get your car fixed, cheap isn't always the best way to go. As far as quality I feel these guys are nearly as good as going to a dealership at half the cost. I trust them to do things right. And they don't pull the bait and switch stuff that I've had happen to me at other places. I write this review knowing what I'm judging, I'm not some moron who can't change his own oil, I am mechanically inclined and have done stuff like changing engines, rebuilding cylinder heads. Have done thousands of brake jobs, even built an airplane with a car motor in it and flew it a cross the USA. So a mechanic can't bullshit me. And these guys have never tried. First time I took a car here I had replaced a rear wheel hub myself in the garage. I know it was done right. The noise was still there. So I got different tires. Noise still there. So I tried new links, No help. Ended up not being able to figure out what in the heck was making the noise and brought the car in. These guys figured out that the majority of the hubs for my particular car are defective. They ordered 5 different hubs and tried them all and found one that was good. Tons of hours spent, no extra charges. I recently was in a pinch and bought a $1500 ex taxi cab and now have no where to do repairs so I had to bring it to them. It's beat to hell and is a 300,000 mile Toyota Prius. They fit me in to get the back brakes done because the hardware desinegrated. They did a great job. Came back for an oil change and it was very reasonable. (Less than the idiots at meinike who if you read reviews may or may not remember to put the drain plug back in depending on the day). And wreck your car. Not the cheapest, but they do things right and always do what they say in my experience. I will go back and believe with these guys, you get what you pay for. read more

I would recommend staying away from this Firestone. I had numerous issues over the past year after bringing my Jeep here. First thing was they destroyed the tire pressure sensor. Initially they told me it was normal to have an error message on my dash after changing a tire and that it would go away in about ten miles. It didn't; error stayed for weeks. I had to take the Jeep to a dealership and pay them $150 to replace the broken module and I had to recoup the money from Firestone. Then a month or two later I noticed they actually sold me the wrong tire. My Jeep is supposed to have all terrain tires and they sold me a street tire with different treads than the rest of my tires. It took me so long to notice that I didn't bother trying to get them to fix it. I'll replace all 4 soon anyway. My wife also had her car serviced at this Firestone a few times over the past few years. Today, after taking her car to a different shop for service due to Firestone's long wait, we learned that her engine cover screws had been stripped by the last person to access the oil cap and several other screws were badly damaged. They are chewed up; whoever did that at Firestone really shouldn't be anywhere near a power tool. This of course cost us time and money to deal with. I've used other Firestone's around California and had great experiences. But this one in Rancho seems to have some issues. With so many other shops nearby there's really no reason to go here. Them's my .02 read more

We take both of our vehicles here for tiers, oil changes, and other repairs. All the staff has always been very helpful. I can't remember all the techs names but Adam had almost been the person who we check in with and is always very pleasant. Today he even explained why something originally failed on inspection but was actually fine. He had no problem admitting what happened. It was an honest and harmless thing. I feel like other places would have tried to cover it up or replace something that didn't need to be since it was approved to replace. We will definitely continue to come back. Thank you Adam and staff. read more
