I have been a Costco member for along time and I am glad one opened up close to my work. Customer service here appears to better than average in my opinion. The store is always clean and parking close to the door is never a problem. Today I found an item without a price. A guy with a radio helped me and found a price in seconds. I like Costco but I would not recommend using their tire service. Found the tires I wanted a little less at Costco but have had nothing but issues with them and not at the fault of the tires but the installation. They didn't put the sensors on the right tires and when I get the low tire notification on my car I have no clue which tire it is. There is yellow residue like glue seeping out all the rims that can't be removed and im constantly having to add air to the tires. When I took my Jeep back in to have them check why the tires are losing air it was a 2 hour wait! And no place to sit. So you're stuck wondering around Costco for 2 hours. read more

I LOVE Costco. However, this review is for the Covington location only. The administration staff at the Covington Costco is lacking in the ability to resolve issues I have had. As a result, I drive to a different location. I was getting to the point of almost becoming a Sam's Club member, but I don't support Walmart. I am a 30 year old, young professional man. I have been an executive member for years and enjoy and support this local business. But, and a big BUT, when I walk through the door I am always asked to step aside and show the picture on my card. I have been singled out dozens of times and have called the managerial staff to resolve this. They state that they need to check my card to ensure that it's not my parents. I explained that I am thirty and share an account with my wife and find it embarrassing to be constantly singled out. I returned once again and it was busy. Out of a group of two dozen people walking through the door, the card checker pulled me aside. I said, "What can I do to help you?", she said,"You need to show me your card". I said, "You have singled me out, out of a group of dozens of people". She couldn't respond and I asked to speak to a manager. The manager stated that if someone looks under the age of 16, they have the right to ask that person to show their card at the door and compare the picture to the person's face. I am a man with a child and wife and I still continued to be called over. As a result of a lack of care or respect for paying customers and paying members, I will not return to this Costco. read more

The Covington location is one of the nicer in the area. Conveniently located, and stocked with some pretty good items. You won't find some of the business stock items here though. This is more tailored for the surrounding area with things like equipment to help you manage your ranch. Parking here is good relative to other locations, and there are other nearby shops so you can get other errands run if your car has anything left after a Costco trip. read more

I love Costco. Not a little but a lot! Some people just don't get it. The company pays their workers fairly, all their products are high quality and the food is great! I buy all my dress shirts there and save like 60% off of retail elsewhere. And the $4.99 whole roasted chicken is so flavorful! I but my steaks there too, they are outstanding and pretty fairly priced. I have only had to take a few things back and it was no hassle at all. It doesn't have a restaurant supply section, but it's a good trade-off. And if there's anything that you don't need "Costco-sized," there's a Fred Meyer across the parking lot. Bonus for me? I'm a fan of Costco. Great for bulk dry goods. But lately it seems buying in bulk isn't as "cheaper" as it used to be. But they do have a great variety of meats and seafood that Fred Meyer and Safeway don't carry. The only downside about this location is the lines. Especially when buying one or two items. Covington Costco is always a happy 2nd home. I really enjoy the people that work there - there are quite a few that have been there now for many years. That shows that they like where they work and the company cares for their employees! The parking lot is always safe no run away carts. Bathroom was clean and not missing toilet paper and such. Costco is one of my favorite places to shop at! I can spend hours (and a lot of $$) in Costco! Anything from vegetables to paleo food products to clothes catch my attention. I'm a sucker for food vendors who convince me that my family needs to try their products. I'm here at least once a week for fresh fruit and veggies and monthly for all other needs. I usually have a great experience at this Costco, at least until last nights visit. I don't know if maybe because of this Coronavirus frenzy or maybe the employee that rang me up was tired, but the service I received was absolutely horrible & I will never shop at this location again. Your employee Mariah, not only threw my money & receipt at me but after speaking with the manager & walking out, I was told to "Fuck Off". Mind you all because while I was gathering my money to pay it had fallen off the ledge onto the register area, when I went to grab it she had already picked it up. The people here are very rude. The first incident was when my son found a toy on the floor near the books. I told him to hang onto it and we would return it to the customer service deck on our way out. Out of the blue, one of the employees comes up to me and accuses my son of stealing the toy. Excuse me? I was there when he picked it up from the floor. How was I supposed to know if it was an item that was in their inventory. Usually toys aren't in the book section where we found it. I tried explaining this to the employee, and then he tells me I should keep a closer eye on my child ( the child in question was 13 years old at that time. Second incident came while I was checking out. The cashier was new, and training under the supervision of a more experienced cashier. Apparently the trainee wasn't working fast enough, and she says to this poor girl "Come on, you need to herd these people through like cattle." WTF lady? Is this how you treat customers and co-workers? read more

Recently experienced having the Covington, Wa. Costco install 4 tires on our Honda Fit. Great deal on the tires...literally $100 to $300 cheaper than any other shop. That was the good part. Ordering them and setting up an install time...also very simple. Bad part?? The install job itself. My wife took the car in. Very sloppy use of that tire lubricant (soap?) they use to get the tires on the rims. The shop guy didn't even clean the tires and wheels off when he was done. When I saw the tires on the car after my wife got home from Costco...it looked like she drove it through a bunch of mud. The least they could do was wash them off before retiring the car to the customer. Then, I asked my wife if the tires rode well compared to the old ones......she looked at me like she was afraid to tell me they had an odd ride. The next day I checked the tire pressures. The car calls for 33psi front and 32psi rear. The Costco shop put them way up to 36psi on all four. No wonder my wife thought the tires seemed odd when driving the car. The receipt claimed they put the proper pressures in them...but that was entirely untrue. Lesson learned. Save some big bucks...but beware the sloppy work done at the Costco tire shop in Covington, Wa. read more

Hey it's a costco what's not to love right? Ok but differences aside this costco has a nice layout that isn't very confusing which is great for shoppers like me. The lines tend to be shorter than you would imgaine as the checkers are really good at what they do. They don't pressure you to up your costco card membership but will let you know when you need to renew or if you are close to needing to renew. I enjoy shopping here very much, oh and the Kirkland Signature Beer is good too. read more

The pharmacy at this location is a joke. I've been waiting for 1.5 for 2 medication to be filled. They told me it will be 30 mins after I've checked in. Received a call, cake back only one has been filled, one is missing. The pharmacy assistant informed me it will be another 30 mins to fill the other. Now I have been waiting for more than 30 mins still nothing yet. Slowest pharmacy ever. I would give 0 star if there's an option. read more

I love this Costco location. I never wait in line very long and everyone seems to be super helpful. I ordered a customized cake over the weekend and they went over and beyond my expectations. The gas lines tend to not be horrible so we usually get gas while we are there. The only thing I am not a fan of is their tire center. They seem to be behind a lot and not super helpful. read more

We enjoy this Costco very much. We only came across this costco because of a pho place we use to love. We would drive another 25 min or so from home in order to get there. No biggie, we treat it as a nice drive through the back roads. Have some dinner, go to freddys or costco! So about this costco, the winner in our eyes is the self check-out. There are times when we only need a few items, its bothersome that we have to wait in line behind someone with cart(s) full of items. We're not judging (how can we?) But its nice to know theres an option for a quick out! The place is clean like any other costco, workers are friendly and theres ample of parking. This place is pretty much like every other Costco. The one thing that sets it apart is that it seems a little bit bigger. I don't feel so crowded in the aisles. It has a huge parking lot with lots of space. The workers all seem friendly. I like how it has a couple self checkout lines. I wish more costcos would offer this. Careful...the carts are bigger than other Costcos. You might have a slight panic attack when you go to the register and realize you spent way more than you thought! read more

Yes! Good people and products and prices! Even compared to other Costco stores, this one is above average. This Costco is the best new store in Covington. And don't be surprised it gets crowded at times, but they generally do well at moving people through the lines, including having help handy at the self check-out.
