Who doesn't love CostCo? They have a decent selection of product and it doesn't seem to get as crowded as some of the other locations. I do find that they slack in the restocking or rotating product from time to time, but this could be said about any businesses I am sure. The fruits are generally fresh and ripe, the veggies are usually good (although I have found some bags of salad with sell by dates on them that should have been tossed), and the meat selection is usually stocked to its full capacity. The customer service here is great. The cashiers are always friendly and talkative. My only suggestion would be to man the exit door with two people at all times to avoid long line backups. This location does have a gas station and the prices are great and the lines are usually pretty short. I will continue to visit this CostCo weekly. read more

Love this costco! We come here few times a month and I dont think I have ever had a bad experiences!!!!! The only complaint I have is that at the Issaquah Costco they give out cookies for kids but this one doesn't! !!!!!! read more

With the recent growth of Maple Valley, having Covington with a Costco has been incredibly helpful! We went to this location to get the majority of our Thanksgiving Day shopping in before the coming holiday this year and was so impressed! The selection, the service and the feel of the shopping experience was amazing! Not only was the stock readily available, we were able to maneuver the entire area with ease! The friendly sample spots strategically spaced about made trying new items quick and perfect! I was pleased by the double packs of the egg nog, and was even able to snag some of the delicious artichoke / jalapeño dip! Was shocked by the Martinelli's pomegranate / apple mix offered but LOVED the four pack set! As we winded out way to the dry goods, we found organic clover honey in the largest size possible with ease! Everything here at this location seemed clean and durable for transport. We appreciated the kind cashier who helped us and loved that they made sure to box it all up! If anyone wants a good snack, the parmesan crisps are totally worth a trip! Can't wait to come back to pick up the pumpkin pies for the season, love to see them making sure to first in first out their pastry offerings. Also, the cranberry scones, please make them a regular option CostCo! Gently heat them at home with some butter and they will definitely pair with some delicious coffee and egg nog! read more

I agree with some of the other reviewers that some of the cashiers at this location could have better attitudes. In my experience overall with Costco (not just this location), the employees usually are friendly and helpful. So, it really stands out when employees don't adhere to the usual standards that I'm used to. It's disappointing when a cashier ignores you completely and is having a conversation with another employee at the same time they are ringing up your purchases. I found it rude and inappropriate as they were complaining about their working schedule and stating that "it sucks". She never once looked up and as she was ringing up purchases, she was throwing the products to the side as if she didn't care what she was doing. The cashier just didn't seem like she enjoyed working there at all. Even after I paid and she was giving me my receipt, she was still having a conversation with the other employee. For the first time, I felt that my business didn't mean anything. I did end up learning a lot about their personal lives though, a bit too much information for my taste. read more

Love Costco but hate this store, some old employee was yelling at me and others as we tried to come in for food only. I've been doing this for literally decades. I usually love costco, I just called the covington photo with a quick question. I did get my answer, but the "lady" who answered the phone was incredibly rude. I asked my question, she answered, I said ok thank you so much, she hung up. She couldnt be bothered to say even good bye. Wow I will be going elsewhere to print out my photos. Costco cant find better employees then that??? I expect more from them then that. I hope management reads this and gets employees into customer service training. read more

i have been to many Costco and everyone lets me in to get a pizza my mom called in however this one yelled at me and i had incredibly rude service i eventually started yelling and got let in to pick up a pizza. then i just decided to get a membership so they dont stop me anymore but they continue to do so i am old enough to buy one why pull me to the side each time. read more

I've been a happy Costco member for over 25 years in California, New Mexico, Idaho and Colorado. Since I've moved near Covington, Washington and shopped at this location I've become increasingly angry. The problem lies in the rudeness of the employees. Time and time again I've been spoken to rudely by these employees. I've also been given bad information that cost me, been told that I had to go stand in another line after I've already been in this line for 15 minutes, and had employees glare and snarl at me for simply asking where something is. I really do love this costco, BUT, the samle food people, drive me bonkers. My daughter is a baby with glasses, and every time i'm in she always coments on them, saying silly things like,"oh, your baby looks like harry potter" or, "mariah careys baby has glasses like that!" Or, "i need to get my daughter glasses like that, where did you get them? Walmart?" Really lady. Shut up. The new Costco in Covington is really nice. Right away I noticed how friendly the people who work there are.

Costco is pretty much Costco wherever you go...but what makes this one different is the people who work there.... very helpful and friendly.

Great store, helpful employees with lots of fresh foods and easy to find parking. Overall this is a good Costco to shop at as it's not as busy as others. However, I've had a couple very bad experiences at the pharmacy, incorrect prescriptions, being told my prescriptions are not ready when they actually are sitting there, having to wait over an hour for very common prescriptions, also those common prescriptions are often out of stock. When I complained, I was told that they are under staffed there was no apology as my food was rotting away in the car in the heat. I went to the customer service desk to ask how I should put in a complaint, I was pointed to a pad of paper and a slot to put it in. Having spent thousands of dollars each year at this establishment, I would've hoped I have had better service, someone who cared or showed any level of concern. Very disappointing having been a consumer of Costco since they began. Honestly, I'm not impressed by their pricing anymore as they are more in line with your average grocery store. I am definitely going to be switching pharmacies! read more

I am disgusted. Waiting in line to make a return at Costco in Covington, WA. The lady in front of me had a bunch of hamburgers and hot dogs she was trying to return. Heard the Costco employee say yes we can return it, but we have to throw it away. 21 cases of hamburgers, at least the same in hot dogs. I asked the lady why she could not donate it to the people affected by the fires, or a food bank. It was from a 4H event, and they bought to much, and their club could not afford it. SHAME ON YOU 4H LADY for not finding a better alternative, and SHAME ON YOU COSTCO in COVINGTON to allow her to return, then throw away $1000 worth of meat. I would have bought it all and donated it, but I do not have the means. I gave the lady the $20.00 I had on me and took 2, 3 packs of hot dogs. Costco said they could not donate the meat to the food bank, because it had left their building. The lady claims she did not know you could not return meat. Perfect example of how we, as Americans, are a society of waste. read more

I purchased my tires from this store a few months ago, I was hesitant to buy my tires from Costco due to the long waits for servicing. I went back to the store for my regular rotation and balancing, and I was there promptly at 9:45 am. I was the 3rd person in line and still had a 2 1/2 hour wait. I had another apt at 12:00, so this was not an option for me. I want to note that the customer service was excellent. I left without getting my vehicle serviced. The General Manager, Jim, noticed my dismay and caught up with me in the parking lot to see if they did something wrong. When I explained my reason, Jim explained to me that they are short staffed and are in the process of trying to hire more employees, He told me he would make an appointment and get my vehicle serviced. He held good to his word and got my vehicle in for servicing right away and even did it before the regular store opened. I will purchase my tires in the future based on Jim's customer service and willingness to do whatever it takes to keep their customers happy!! read more

overall the store is ok. we had an experience at the pharmacy, it was BAD!! the pharmasist that has the english(?) accent is extremely rude!!! we were waiting for our perscription for 30min, the pager went off, we went to get the persciption. we stood off to the side for a moment, she asked what we wanted. we are here for a pick up. she told us that we had to go to the end of the very long line, even tho we have been waiting 30 min. got to the front of the line, and guess what... that same pharmasist took a lady that was standing off to the side waiting for her perscription, before us!!! so now were have been waiting for 45 min.. we confronted the pharmasist, she said, get this, that lady has been waiting for her script for over 15 min.. YOUR KIDDING!!!!!!! needless to say we went half balistic.. gave her a piece of our mind, got a manager, needless to say, that girl does not work the counter as much, and we refuse to deal with her.. read more
