Costco's car wash is smooth sailing from beginning to end. You pay $7.99 after inserting your membership card. Remember to put your car in Neutral once your tires are aligned with the conveyor belt system. The lines move rather quickly as the Costco attendants who check receipts are on top of it. Some water marks might remain after the washing process, but fear not! I just wipe any remaining spots with a microfiber cloth once I arrive back home. read more

I didn't have time to inspect after but I would have asked to rerun it if I did. I haven't been through the car wash in over seven years as the last time that I went through there, I believe an antenna broke off of the car in front of me and it got caught up in the brushers and so when I went through the antenna was caught up in the big soft brushers and went across my driver side doors and chipped off the paint straight line straight across the two doors... on the driver side front and back door;I did not dry my car there in the parking lot. I drove it off to air dry it and when I got to my destination, it was so noticeable that I went right back to Costco and showed the attendee; the paint had been chipped off ; he said that did not happen here and it made me so angry I asked for a form so I can file a complaint and to have it repaired. He gave it to me with an attitude as though you can have it, but you're not getting anything for the damages... And I never did... And I have not been back since ,,, up until then I had no complaints... So now I was just checking to see if there has been any complaints since my incident... Because I'm thinking about returning because I have mud underneath my car I believe they are the only car wash in the area that are capable of removing mud from underneath the car... I would suggest that you check your car out thoroughly before driving through and dry it there on the property and if you notice any damages, tell them and show them right then and there. Now I know why they shut the down for a few minutes and go in there and remove anything that may be caught up in the brushes, but of course they're not going to share that information with us. read more

Today was my longest wait in line for the car wash. I don't fault them - it was the crowd. Everyone needed a wash today. Sometimes I've driven right in, other times it's 5-10 min. Today was 23. The line extended to the street entrance. This is such a convenient process and is ridiculously cheap. $7.99, which I'll normally purchase when getting their gas across the street. This is the longest drive-through car wash I know of. From the moment your vehicle is "grabbed," until the green light comes on at the end telling you to put your car in drive to leave, is 2 minutes, 33 seconds. There are brushes on top of brushes. If you notice and compare other car washes, once your car is on the pulley track, costco car wash is non-stop. This means at every second, something is being done to your car with no delay in between. No wonder the quality is consistent, it rarely misses a spot. Another positive is that the car wash tunnel is considered longer than other car washes. I've never had such a long car wash tunnel. Yes, they keep the price 7.99 as consistent as can be ever since I moved here a year ago, however, the wash, likewise, is very consistent. So a car wash at Costco?? Yes I have run into them before. We do not have one in our area but I have noted they seem to be more plentiful in Southern California. As with many things Costco, this is a heck of a value. $7.99 for a total exterior car was is cheaper than most gas stations, and this one is quite extensive. Its an old school system you pay either in line or at the gas station. You wait in line the attendant checks your receipt, you pull up, place you car in neutral, and the track moves you along and slow pace as pass through multiple stations. WARNING!!!! I drove my car through the Costco car wash, it busted my rear view mirror and Costco is offering a $100 gift card!! Unbelievable! Shocking! We just hung up with their insurance company. The insurance company said the Costco manager made a statement which we know is false. The manager said our car had a "pre-existing condition". Hello, is the Costco manager a car expert and how would he know what our car looked like before going through the car wash? Wow! I'm impressed that Costco has a car wash and wish we had one in San Jose or in the Bay Area. So after pumping gas, we headed over to the wash area. You drive up to one of the two lanes and insert your Costco membership and payment. Unfortunately we were stuck behind a gal who did not know how to work the payment system or did not have a valid membership. She kept waving us to go backwards but there was no way since we had cars behind us. It was quite comical but also annoying because she was there over 5 minutes. We kept waving her to go forward and exit before the actual wash which is more considerate than asking everyone to back up. Be sure to take off your antennas if possible! We roll onto the wheel catch and put the car in neutral. We went through many soap sprays, wash, brush, more soap, water spray, liquid wax, etc etc etc. As you are at the end of the tunnel it blows very forceful air to dry your car. We saw some people pull out to the side in the parking lot with their personal terry cloth to do the final dry down on their cars. All in all, what a great value for $8! read more

Damn. Finally tried the car wash here. Had to get gas and when buying gas, it prompts you if you want to buy a car wash. Well don't mind if I do for $7.99! you can also pull up and pay for the wash before you enter the line. A guy is right at the entrance and you have to present your receipt which he marks off Costco style w/ a big marker down the receipt. My SUV got pretty sparkly clean. No there's no vacuum but for the price it's fine. I've been going to Waterdrops in Camarillo if I want to drive thru and vacuum the car. But it's a bit more at like $15 a pop. read more

Came here for the first time for a wash. I figured $8, not bad for a wash and assumed it would be decent since it's always crowded. You do need a membership and they don't accept Apple Pay. The attendant was exceptionally friendly and helpful especially at 7:30 am. The only way this wash could damage or dent your car is if you try to off-road from the guided wash or if your car is made out of foil or tin. Unfortunately it washed appx 90% of the dirt from my suv. Ill don't have the luxury of personally washing my vehicle because of time so this will suffice. read more

I recently got my car washed at this Costco location in Oxnard and I was very impressed. It was $7.95 and the facility is in good condition and very popular. You stay in your vehicle as it goes through the cleaning process and there are employees that help make sure everything goes well. My car was very clean and I used a towel to finish drying everything. I wish they had vacuums to clean the interior but I was happy with how clean the exterior of my car was for a good price. read more

The past three car washes have left my vehicle ridiculously spotted and with a bunch of left over soap. The first two times I thought it was just a glitch, but three times and I'm out! STAY AS FAR AWAY FROM THIS CAR WASH AS YOU CAN. I bought my car in October 2018. I have since detailed it myself. I almost always do my own wash, only if I am desperate will I go to a car wash. Thinking Costco has the name I used their wash today due to too much work this week and too much rain. BIG MISTAKE. On my way to work I stopped and got gas and a wash. When I made it work I looked at my car (the old once around) and low and behold not only did it not clean my car but it took a nice patch of paint off my bumper. Upon further inspection I saw it left nice scratches also. All on the back right quarter panel and bumper. I am beyond disbelief that Costco would put their name on this piece of crap car wash. I am going to try and call their store and see what if anything they will do. Need my warning. Stay away. read more

Really glad that this location has 1 of 4 car washes in SoCal being a newly relocated Southern Californian from Austin, TX. $7.99 for a wash, spray on wax, black magic tire dressing on the tires and a blow dry. Can't beat that deal anywhere but if it only had customer service attendants rather than rough, angry, little boys then it would get and additional star plus. nothing worse than being mad dogged and spoken to non professionally when they talk to you. I know Costco pays their staff better than average but i would recommend a manager have the place shopped and reviewed or something to improve their poor attitude. i've been to this wash 4 times this month and each time same non professional service and each time hoping for some improvement.. Guess yelp can be a great place to vent. Moving past the human experience the overall mechanical wash is excellent. Machines never complain or have bad days. read more

Update on Costco Car wash breaking my windshield wiper. I filled out a claim and was told I would be contacted within 48 hours. Sure enough, I received a call from Costco's claim department the following day. They told me to take the car in to any shop I would like, and they would pay a reasonable price for repair. Sure enough, I sent them a receipt and received a check less than a week later. Although inconvenient, Costco's customer service was excellent. I do like the Car wash, although it does need some sort of re-calibration. I was told it often breaks parts off cars. The Ford Dealership I went to immediately knew it was Costco Car wash, as I wasn't the first customer to have this happen. Also, when the Costco employee went back to find my missing wiper, he pulled out a whole grill and a license plate that came off some car(s). read more

My car has been through other drive-thru car wash places and they merely do exterior cleaning, those places should be called "car rinse". This place on the other hand really deserves to be called a "Car Wash" because your car exterior really gets washed and cleaned! I've noticed while wiping the cars down, that there were significant scratches left on the rear upper panel and on the right side of the roof. Luckily I was able to take these scratches off with some compound but it seems like the brushes on the right side are faulty or damaged and are causing the scratches.
