The seating is comfortable enough and they do have a couple of leather sofas which are great if you are having a coffee and meeting friends. In the summer they do have some tables outside which is lovely if the sun is shining. The downside is that the serving area looks a bit grubby and dirty and some of the staff look the same! I was very disappointed last time I went in here. I wanted to get take away as I was on my lunch break. I waited over 5 minutes while 2 members of staff were making coffee for previous orders and clearing tables. I had no problem waiting but I did get very frustrated when the ladies were chatting rather than serving customers. After waiting a few more minutes and being ignored I left and went to 'This Cafe' instead where the service and food was fantastic. I don't think I will be in a hurry to visit Cafe Rio anytime soon. They have a great menu and if you can't see what you fancy, just ask the staff and they will do their best to make you what you want. The coffee they serve is excellent and they have a good choice of soft drinks, juices etc. The staff are really friendly and helpful and always make you feel welcome (unlike some other coffee shops in the town). They have a good take-away menu too and all the food is cooked fresh. Even though all the food is organic, the prices are very good and competitive with other cafes in this area. I really hope that This Cafe is successful - it is really good to see independant businesses opening in the town and I wish them every luck!

Bacon done crispy (I prefer juicy), and Olympic breakfast is my breakfast of choice (but strangely comes without fried bread). strange build of meals on menu, never seem to find exactly what I want, and waitresses never seem to want to 'bespoke' your meal. All too frequently, the owner is in the cafe, and seems to glare at customers - most off-putting. Other than that, good meal, get what you pay for.
