I visited this place on Sat 1st Feb, Knowing the tea shop has been in this town for quite some years and expected a half decent standard of customer appreciation. I walked in with my partner.........a girl who was serving ( fully tattooed arm on show, bright red dyed hair) looked in our direction ....looked away... . We found ourselves a seat and looked through the menu, ..for about 5 mins, during which red hair/tattoo girl continued to ignore our presence. We waited another 5 mins until my partner approached red/tattoo to discuss our order.........the girl spoke very abruptly in an Eastern European accent and suggested she would serve us when she can........delightful!. After another few minutes of being ignored my partner and I decided to leave and walked up the road about 50 yards. We came across 'Dreams Coffee Lounge'. The experience in this place was a complete contrast to Lawrence's. We were greeted upon arrival, shown to a table (the place was extremely busy too!) and treated very courteously. We will return to Dreams Coffee Lounge. We wont return to Lawrence's. read more
