I don't usually do reviews for the sake of doing reviews but the time has really come to try and give 'Nuneaton' Starbucks - @ Bermuda Park, St Davids Way - real honest feedback in the hope they will take this information and make some real, fast improvements.
Starbucks Nuneaton is my closest Starbucks but in reality and unfortunately it consistently delivers a poor quality, inefficient and frustrating customer experience time and again (in fact I would say it has happened every time I have used the drive-thru!)
Here's why:
1) They always seem to never have your complete first choice when using the Drive-thru and when you find out they don't have your first choice you are stuck in the drive thru lane without any way of leaving: because of this you end up compromising and still purchasing another drink/product (which wasn't your first choice) but even then they never seem to get the drink right!
2) We love Toffee Nut Latte - a fav traditional Starbucks Xmas drink out every year. Why is it on the very few occasions that I have suddenly been tempted to use Nuneaton Starbucks Drive-thru (always against my better judgement as each time I have a bad experience @ Nuneaton I promise myself never to go back but relent when time is an issue and I just don't have the time to go to my Fav Starbucks @ Coventry, or Corley).
They seem to never get Toffee Nut Lattes right? Why is it so hard?? Is it down to poor training of staff? Poor standards or poor motivation? Why can't they get it right? Why do I have to ask for cream and spinkles each time only for them to never put it on? Each time I have to hand the drinks back and ask them to do it properly and put the cream and spinkles on? I have even had reassurances from 2 staff on different occasions that they would ensure it is made properly, only for them to have not done it???!!!! Why can't they get it right? I had to do it today and in actual fact they gave a Hazelnut Latte!! Poor Service; Poor Quality; Poor experience.
3) For some bizzare reason Nuneaton Starbucks don't get that the cream and sprinkles on a Toffee Nut Latte are standard (clue: take a look at the pictures of the Toffee Nut Latte and other Xmas Drinks that Starbucks Head Office send out every year and are actually advertised all over your premises everywhere! It's a standard so using logic customers should request if they don't want the cream and sprinkles (or made the way they like) and you should not expect the customers to have to ask for the cream and sprinkles AS IT IS STANDARD. As a customer - we have to pay extra for the Xmas drinks - why can't Nuneaton Starbucks get it right??
4) The drive thru isn't efficient. You can mislead yourself into thinking that because it is Starbucks - you will get a quality experience unfortunately @ Nuneaton just don't live up to or deliver the brand and customer expectations. You wait a long time in the drive-thru; can't get out of the drive-thru is they don't have want you want or your change your mind; you get a poor quality product and experience but are paying for relatively expensive coffee. I say realively because ironically the McDonalds drive-thru @ Bermuda that is close but delivers a far more efficient and better customer experience for half the price!!!!!!!!! Maybe the staff training is poor @ Nuneaton Starbucks or maybe its poor management and supervision but they just don't seem to be able to get it right.
On the plus side the staff seem friendly but on the whole they are all letting themselves down: I doubt this business will survive or flourish to better business until they can sort out their problems with training: please deliver what you promise and what we pay for. Please don't try to deceive us with a poor product or the wrong product just because we use the drive-thru and are usually miles away from you when we realize you have given us a poor product and overall poor experience.
I hope Nuneaton Starbucks see this feedback; use this feedback, dust themselves down and seek to improve so that if I stupidly decide to relent a use the Nuneaton Starbucks Drive-thru again: they may actually get it right and give me my first choice of product; made to standard/good quality and a good overall experience.
Until then - I'll choose to use the Starbucks Drive-thru @ Coventry Showcase or Corley Services who are excellent and go above and beyond to get it right.
Anyone who is giving Nuneaton Starbucks excellent reviews and high stars are either people who have never experienced other good quality starbucks; don't know what high standards are or are related to the staff @ Nuneaton Starbucks in some way so give false reviews.
Nuneaton Starbucks: Overall Poor. Poor Standards; Poor Quality; Poor Efficiency; High Cost; Poor Customer Service. Unless they can drastically improve their standards you can get a much better experience at the McDonalds close by or go to another Starbucks.
