do not trust these people!!! something that they won't tell you when you are signing up for insurance though then is that they are charging you over $200 for the policy just for their broker fee along with $40 paperwork fee!! yes!!! they really are doing that every time they set up a policy and it's non refundable if for some reason have to cancel the policy!! my car's engine blew up andi only had the policy less than2 weeks and they were a nightmare to deal with just getting the policy cancelled when i needed it to be cancelled. they refused to stop the policy over the phone which is ridiculous, because i signed up for it over the phone. and, the worst part about it all was knowing that they mislead me about what the almost 400 dollar down payment was actually for. by law, they are supposed to tell you they are charging those fess and had i not had to cancel my policy, i probably would have never known.. contact the insuance companies yourselves!!! don't pay these shady people over 240 ontop of what the insuance company charges!! read more

Signed up with them beginning of the month, I explained to lady I didn't have the full intial sign up fee and could not afford it until first of the following month. We spent 1 hour on the phone, trying to convinced me to sign up. She then offered a split fee, and said when I got my bill, to call and notify them on 20 dollars, then rest of the rest on first. 2 weeks later, received a monthly payment 50, I paid it and was called several times by someone from company, I was in collections. Wtf, apparently they don't do split intial sign up fee. I spoke to manager and arrange something else. It would be nice if they didn't lie to get you to sign up. read more

Very satisfied with the service i received from Travis here in The Auburn CA store. My husband 1st called COST-U-LESS over the phone and spoke to a broker in Sacramento named Darian Stribling she set him up with his SR-22 and we were aware of all the fee's it cost us over $400 just to set up but she explained that included the FIRST month also and that our monthly payments would be about $35 a month. We set up our service July 12th 2018 and were told we wouldn't owe anything until September which was not the case we got a cancellation letter stating it was going to be cancelled on the 16th which I went in to pay but it was already cancelled. The insurance Darian set my husband up for was "ALL STAR" I had Carmen and Travis help me and they were nice enough to wave the reinstatement charge as the insurance won't wave they said it would be activated that night by midnight and it was a mess having my husband talk to them over the phone and ALL STAR. Today the insurance was still cancelled so I tried to call ALL STAR and they are pacific time I called at 8:30 their line said closed even though the system said open M-F from 8 a.m - 5 p.m ummm okay? Finally I drove to the store to talk to Travis again but before I went in I called ALL STAR at 9 and a man named Leo picked up he stated it was still cancelled didn't care and it needed to be paid AFTER I explained we already paid. I got upset and told him I was done with them I went and spoke to Travis and he was very professional and told me he would help he explained he was unsure why the agent set us up with that horrible insurance and to go with Dairyland he informed me everything we paid would be transferred to the new policy and that he would wave all fee's. We still have to wait to hear anything from ALL STAR since we paid our monthly and then cancelled apparently they have a $30 cancellation fee but I was glad to get away from such horrible customer service! Travis was even able to get us on a plan that was a lower cost and set us up for auto pay so we wouldn't run into this issue of being cancelled again. Not only did he squeeze us in, as the last customer of the day (15 mins before closing!!) but he stayed up way past his shift to make sure that I was set up with my car insurance!! My experience was excellent, the staff was quick to handle my needs I told shannon what I was looking for and she was fast pace.to find me.what I was looking for knowing I didnt have much time. She didnt try to sell me what I.didn't need and she was extremely helpful in the.handlings of my policy. Shes actaully on your side and there to help you. As a first time car owner she made it easy.to understand what my policy was and wasent in a hurry to sell me.something I didnt need and send me on my way. I highly recommended this company for all your needs insurance wise. I am definitly happy I chose cost u less and will come to them for future insurance needs. STAY AWAY! DO NOT FILL OUT THEIR ONLINE QUOTES. These people can't get the hint. I had one person call and being at work I sent them to voicemail. They continued to call another 9...NINE FREAKING TIMES in a row. So I blocked the number. I got another 22 calls that day between 13 more numbers because I kept blocking the numbers. They have no reguard for time as the latest call came in after 9:30pm. I told several of them to take me off their list as I was not interested after seeing their over priced prices. I received 4 snot toned voicemails, 2 of which were from the same woman. If the phone calls weren't bad enough, my phone throughout all of that was blowing up with emails. This place is like a bunch of vultures waiting for someone to throw them meat and they are relentless when they get it. FYI, you shouldn't bombard your potential customers like that, you seriously much be hurting for business if you are calling one person over 30 times a day! Never again will I fill anything out for this business and I will advise my friends and family to stay away. I suggest you do the same. You all have been warned. read more
