I've been seeing Jill for about 10 years now and I've always been happy with the results. Please note: I have curly hair and keep a basic cut with layers, NO BANGS! So I can't do those fad styles like The Rachel or an inverted bob. Facial waxing services are also offered. I used to get my eye brows waxed after the shampoo/conditioner. Affordable....however I switched to European Wax Center just because it's less painful. Not due to poor skills. I can style my own hair day to day, but when I want a curly updo I make sure I make an appointment. One updo pic is done by Jill. The other is my Laura L. **Be a responsible customer no matter where you go or who you see. Communication is key. I always bring pictures of the style, cut or color I want.

I did not get any pricing quote prior to my payment. I still had to pay $250 with little to no change in my hair color. While getting my hair washed, Nan bashed my thick hair multiple times. She even asked if I used shampoo and conditioner from target (I use Kevin.Murphy). After my wash she made me BRUSH MY OWN HAIR after she was inconsiderate and made it snarly. She put in my toner and told me she would return in 15 minutes. I did not see her until 30 minutes later, and I felt unvalued and unwelcome at her salon. I personally felt she was cutting corners and manipulating me due to my age and it being my first visit at Your Hair Mob. I was far from impressed, and will not be suggesting this salon.

I love it! It is super quiet and relaxing. The last salon I went to was one big open room which at times was really loud. Getting my hair done is finally what it should be....relaxing and ME time. She is open to being fun and doing new things to your hair. Life is short....live life to the fullest! Another great thing about having your own space is you can decorate your room to fit your personality. Mallory has elephants, Buddha's and Ganesh in her space....it is a happy place. You walk in and all eyes are on you judging your appearance...YIKES! You never know the prices because you can look it up online but there is always a huge scale depending on the level of stylist you get and there are just a ton of unknown factors involved. What "type" of hair do they work with most? What is the theme of the salon? I recently moved and was way overdue for a hair cut...seriously even one of my dearest friends told me to lose the bun on top of my head! hahahahaha that has become my go-to style out of sheer laziness. I decided that this salon looked decent enough from the outside as I passed a couple times so I did a walk-in on a Saturday afternoon and was able to get right in for a haircut and eyebrow wax. The ladies were friendly and I was offered a hot beverage which was very nicely served in a glass mug....that is a great thing. There was a nice exposed brick wall and lovely light fixtures as well as comfortable hair shampoo stations. My stylist Ashley was easy to talk to and she listened to me and offered her expert opinion and advice and we proceeded to take approx three inches of hair off and then for the first time in my life the stylist actually styled my hair exactly how I would if I had any skills at all. I loved this about her... so often I have left the salon not feeling like myself and waiting to just wash and do my hair myself to see how the cut really came out. Nope---Ashley did an amazing job and made me feel fresh and frisky again! My brows still need some help she cleaned them up with what she had to work with but I need to find a lady that is top-notch shaping artist to get them how I would like them....

I made all of my 2026 appts in January 2026 so I had the appts I needed for the year. I go in approximately every 6 weeks. In March I made it for my Birthday so I would have my hair done for celebrating. The receptionist calls to cancel my appointment because my stylist is going on an unplanned vacation (one of their kids gave them the trip as a gift for Christmas so why did they even schedule my appt in March if they knew in December they would be gone) and doesn't even try to fit me in, just says I can schedule with another stylist. Let me add to this that I have extremely difficult hair to cut and style. Not just "anyone" can do it. So I'm left high and dry for my Birthday. Now I have a June 1st appt scheduled and I find out today, May 26, that another vacation has taken priority over my appt and again they cannot fit me in before he leaves. When someone charges $108 for a haircut you expect some professionalism and customer service. Could the stylist call and try to fit me in? Nope. Makes the receptionist do his dirty work. Maybe he should just retire and vacation all he wants rather than make appts he doesn't keep. He never used to do until this last year. I am finding there are much friendlier, very talented and more customer service oriented salons in White Bear than this one and they aren't as expensive. Would not recommend based on the non existent concern about their clients schedules/needs. Overpriced for what you don't get in my opinion.
