I called to see if they would take me as a walk in and the nice lady told me over the phone, yes, come on in. When I arrived, I was in awe of the cleanliness and spaciousness of the beauty salon. When I looked the shop up to begin with, I thought the shop name was so cute, I decided to give it a try. The owner and I chatted while she roller set my hair. She gave me a few good tips and pointers. She also explained to me why she prefers Keratin over the relaxer. I of course asked her opinion. The shop is run on decency and in order. They don't leave you sitting under the dryer just waiting until they finish another job. Once they hear the dryer alarm go off, someone promptly comes and gets you to continue doing your hair. I like the fact that there's a big of a minimalist perspective here too. They have beautiful decor, but it's not over done like in some beauty salons. I can say I will come back again for sure. If I lived in CT., this shop would definitely be the place for me.

This was my first time visiting as I wanted some advice on coloring my hair for next appointment. The 2 star rating is for the haircut I received. I have long hair, and expressed I'm looking for some angling in the front, a little layering, and overall keep the length because I'm a low maintenance hair girl. the first cut she makes is 8inches off of my top layer, all in one cut I couldn't believe how much hair was in my lap. The final result was a not very well blended style that is high maintenance to deal with, straightening it is out of the question because I have a ledge of unblended hair. Pretty upset but not sure how to fix it without taking off more length

And then...I made the mistake of being desperate. My appointment was with Tazjae. I wanted small knotless braids. She quoted me 325 total. Sounded good. She even went the extra mile to come in early so she could do my hair before I had class that evening and she double booked herself and I couldn't come later. I had a time crunch, but I did NOT get small braids, just small parts. I wanted waist length, I got bra strap length, the ends???? Well just see the photo and have a look for yourself.
