They were super accommodating for my large bridal party (bride, 7 girls, and 1 mom) to have their hair done. They opened especially for us to get our hair done and brought in extra staff to help out! The girls had us all done in 2 hours! They helped order me the lip gloss I was using so that I could reapply as needed during the day. They offered the great option of paying all in full for a discount and include tip right away so that no one has to worry about bringing money along the day of. I'm sorry as a business owner I would call a client to check on them if they weren't satisfied and I would NOT tell them it was their problem. I had just purchased a new white shirt with mini/low mock turtle neck. A towel was never placed around my neck/shoulders. It was literally my first day wearing it and I really just loved it but it's pretty ruined at this point unless I wear my hair down, which I dont a lot. I understand my shirt of choice for this color service could have been different, but I also know there are things that can be done as stylists to minimize accidents like this. My only other quick take away was that I was hoping to liven up the highlights that I had that were dull/lacking luster and had faded quite a bit. I was hoping to feeling the tone of them but I didn't really notice a difference in color. But my hair was shiny and my stylist did an AMAZING job with my blow out and making me feel really beautiful when I left. Again, I was just so disappointed about the fact that my new shirt was ruined and the glaze to tone down/deepen the color wasn't really as noticeable as I had hoped.. but overall, I love this salon. The staff is incredible friendly and kind and I have no doubt that this was just a one off experience. I remember Jacci called me because I had been waiting for the new shop to open and I need a hair cut desperately. The guys working inside told her that a "big dark haired guy" was spying between the paper covered windows, I guess she told them "Oh that's only Greg, he must need a haircut". So Jacci offered to cut my hair (even though the shop was not open) and with that I became Jacci's first customer in her new shop, unofficially of course. Well her we are 2012 and Jacci is still cutting my hair and when it came time for my 2 year old daughter's first hair cut there was no place else to go. Really? I should have had a local 6th grader do the job. It would have been more professional. I booked 4 services total at Bella Lei Salon Spa & Boutique. 2 were ok (facial and makeup trail). They were nothing special, but not bad. It seems that once you let them know the service is for your wedding the prices magically go up. That would be fine IF they were quality services, but the fact that they did not have the skill nor the proper equipment to curl my straight hair and that I had to curl it beforehand myself should have been a sign to stay away but no I had the pre bridal service a few days before and then the day of the wedding. In the trail hairstyle I was not thrilled but I thought that with the addition of flowers and me curling my own hair prior to the service it would be ok. Nope! The stylist stuck a few flowers that I brought in with me into my hair with nothing to hold them. Of course they immediately fell out. I was sick about this "special 'do" and left before having my makeup done there. I went back to my hotel, took out the braid and re-curled my hair myself. The receptionist insisted that I pay and I did. I was not able to speak to the salon manager. My husband called 2xs to speak to the manager. She was not available and would not return his phone call. We waited for more than two weeks for a manager to reach and out and at least acknowledge the disappointing service but she never did reach out. I don't take writing such a review lightly. I appreciate local businesses, but when you unapologetically deliver extremely substandard services the consumer has a right to know so that they can avoid such businesses.
