Compared to the super popular places I've tried in Sydney the past few days, this was my most pleasant experience. I came at a time when they weren't busy, and the server was very attending to my requests.
I ordered the pineapple mint frappe-- super delicious on a hot day, and the full glass is super large for an Australian size. I've never had this combo in flavors before, but needless to say I will be trying to recreate it when I get back home.
The lamb burger with tzatziki sauce with fries on the side was a nice complement to the drink I had. The burger was fresh, juicy, and savory, and the sauce's slight sour flavor went perfectly with it.
I think the server caught my American accent and suspected I might fall into the stereotype where I like to dip everything into a type of sauce, and she was right. She preemptively asked if I would like any sauces with my meal once it came out, and the ketchup came out in a cute and small square dish.
Both of the employees I interacted with were extremely kind and cheerful without a hint of the normal cynicism I've come accustomed to with any retail employee in the US. read more
