"They won't fall off" my nail tech assured me, after I told her I didn't want the ball accents, bc I didn't want them to fall off. While it's only been a week... I have had MANY accents fall off of my nails within days. And these are still on. I came to this salon based on a recommendation from a server I met at a sushi restaurant who raved about retention and all the bartenders getting their nails done there and never having them fall off. I have been in search for a good nail tech who will give me nails that will not fall off for about SIX MONTHS. I'm not sure if it's the anatomy of my nail beds or if previous nail techs are using low quality products but Jennifer at Cosmo nails hooked it UP I don't think these bad boys are coming off. And I'm happy to say I will definitely be returning. My nails are beautiful and exactly what I asked for, even after being super annoying and picky combing nail designs from THREE different photos. Terrible experience. They were trying to fit in as many people as possible and workers were bouncing between customers. I ended up being there for 2 hours because someone would work on my nails and then go help a different customer. At one point they had put the dipping powder on 5/10 nails then left me waiting for an hour for someone to finish. I feel like they purposely started my manicure then made me wait so I couldn't leave. Never going back. Salon is also super messy and they don't have OPI dip colors/powders. read more

I found Cosmo on Yelp. I have never been and rarely ever go to a salon as I get super intimidated of what to get as I am not a treat yourself lady. This nail salon is the only one I love to go to after trying SIX nail spots in Raleigh/Durham. I hadn't gotten my nails done in years when I previously had gotten them done regularly due to terrible folks at other nail places. I had a great experience! I had called the day before I went and was greeted wonderfully and told I could come the next day at the time I was interested in coming. I was about 15 mins late and thought it was going to be slam packed. Well it wasn't lol and luckily not only was I late but so were the nail techs so it all worked out perfectly. I ended up deciding to do the amazing pedicure and it was amazing. There was so much detail paid to my feet, my legs, the massage and the overall experience. It was a top notch experience. I have multiple people who were there with me who can gladly tell you how she acted! And even one of her employees was disgusted by her behavior and attitude! So before you comment on someone's review maybe you should think before you speak! Probably the worst nail salon I've ever been to. And will not return. 1) I was told no more than a 10 minute wait. My 10 minute wait turned into a 30 minute wait. 2) Lucy did my nails and they were horrible. Supposed to be round tipped. And were all different shapes. Some squared some rounded. 3) I'm all about customer service. But arguing with your husband in front of a customer is not professional. 4) Her attitude changed dramatically and wouldn't listen to what I was saying or showing her. And at one point I began to get frustrated and she was arguing with me! Yes arguing! Saying they were rounded when they clearly were not! She also rushed. $40 dollars down the drain. I had to go to a whole new Nail salon and spend another $50 just to have them redone. I really wavered between four and five stars, and would have given a 4.5 if possible. however I decided on 4 because it seems to be a little more expensive than some of the competition. I was given great service, and the staff wasn't pushy about giving me things I didn't ask for i.e. brow waxing, face waxing etc. I received a basic pedicure, which took about 35 minutes. They did not rush me, and did a thorough job. Compared to another place over by Target in Morrisville, this was fantastic. I would choose this one every time. They accept walk-ins and appointment. Also, I noted that they offer massage services and reflexology services, which can be added on to mani-pedis or done alone. All in all, a solid place to go. Try it. read more

Today was my first time and I loved it! It is a very cute salon and spa ... extremely clean and relaxing! My husband's job takes us all over the country. We 'lived' in 4 states in a 2013. One of the hardest things about traveling is finding good salons! This one will be the only one I go to while we're in North Carolina! I had a Deluxe pedicure that was simply divine. Then Lucy suggested I switch from acrylic to gel nails. I am very pleased that I took her suggestion! I love them! I also had my brows & chin waxed today & the gal did a wonderful job! The best nail place! Very clean and super friendly! They treat my 3 1/2 year old granddaughter like a Princess, they make you feel comfortable if you have weird foot issues like my mom. They fix nail that crack down into the skin like magic. And when you go with a party of 4 without reservations they find space and give A1 service. So... My nail tech Is out of town and with a wedding to attend I was (am still) in need of a GOOD pedicure and gel fill in. Please note that I have these services done every 2-3 weeks regardless of the season. Yelp ratings lead me to this place and I am very disappointed. Because this is a holiday weekend, I went in to the salon a day before just to schedule my appointment. I was impressed with the cleanliness and cute decor. I set my appointment for the following day at 9:30 am with Lucy, the name that popped up the most in the yelp reviews. I arrived promptly at 9:26 am (4 minutes before their advertised opening time) and Lucy was already busy with other customers. Never mind my appointment. The male technician did my pedicure which he completed in under 20 minutes... This isn't necessarily a good thing. I paid $3 extra for a callus treatment and I promise you, he hardly used any of the treatment. This means that my feet are as rough as they were when I walked in, which totally negates why I pay money to "get my feet done." I could go on, but I won't. It is now 10:16 am and I am still waiting to have my nails done by Lucy, the woman that I had a 9:30 appointment scheduled with. 5 more minutes and I am walking out. read more

So I've tried this place out a couple of times and have decided to find somewhere else to get my nails done. The first time I went Lucy did my nails and they were so rushed she didn't even grind them down one bit or push any of the cuticles back so they looked like 2 week old round bubble nails. The last time I went I had another lady who was so slow I was there for almost 2 hours, no wait, just the manicure! They're charging practices are less than ethical as well. No full disclosure on prices they just tack on and tack on. Then surprise you at the end. I was supposed to be getting a fill-in and they charged me $50 (which is the full price of a brand new full set). My nails are still extremely thick and clunky. Sorry but no thanks. Update: I was lazy and went there again. I thought maybe acrylic nail weren't there thing and this time I brought a friend... What a mistake! We were there for just over 2 hours. My pedicure looked like absolute crap and I had to tell the guy to fix it, when he did it still looked like crap so he called someone else to fix it. Ultimately, they charged me $5 extra for regular nail polish just because it somewhat matched the gel paint I picked for my mani??? When will you nail salons learn that you'll actually KEEP your clients with good work and service and make more money this way than by just randomly charging extra for crap that you make up along the way. As for my friends eyebrows... Yeah, they left her with a huge middle gap that was extremely noticeable, her basic clear mani wasn't shiny at all, she had to ask for another coat and even had to argue with the nail tech on the shape of her nails because she wanted square and the tech said she could only do round due to length, AND her pedicure looked so bad I was embarrassed. Total BS. Have fun suckering some other idiots. I will never be back. read more

The whole Deluxe pedicure procedure took only 1 hour. In other places I was getting similar treatments for 2 hours, because steps were more thorough and ex. scrubbing - longer. And then I had to sit half of an hour just to wait for my nails to dry! While there are a lot of modern solutions allowing to dry polisher much faster.. Quality-wise - I was not asked how short to cut, which shape to make. At the end I've got all nails different. Cuticles weren't pushed enough and was cut unevenly. Toe was smashed and not noted until I pointed that out (was repolished). Prices are different from what's on the website. Well, procedure price were the same, but there was no mentioning that Vinylux (not shellac!) is +$5 (while the whole bottle costs $10), calluses are additional $3 (for classic treatment). The only good thing - personnel is nice. But quality and overall impression is not. read more

I love Cosmo! It's always clean and quiet and the staff is as professional as you'll find! I've had my nails done by everyone who works there and they are all talented. No one to avoid, like other places. They always do a great job and check in through your service to make sure you're satisfied. I only go to Cosmo for my nail services. They are very accommodating to your schedule and SO FRIENDLY!!! It's has a small business feel that I've never come across at a nail salon/spa before. I trusted them for my nails for my bridal portraits and again for my wedding day and both looks were perfect. They even got me a card and gift when I came in for my wedding nails. My friend and I ventured in for pedicures before a Yelp event we were attended last night. I had not had a pedicure in so long and was looking forward to trying somewhere new in Raleigh. After reading a bunch of Yelp reviews we called and made appointments for Cosmo. I was greeted as soon as I walking in the door and my chair was ready after I had picked out my color. My nail artist was great. He did a great pedicure and my nails look perfect. It took just long enough that I had time to relax and enjoy myself but plenty of time to dry my nails and get to my event on time. The salon was clean and definitely reasonably priced.
