I had such a great first impression at Clayscapes. I came in as a new small business owner and…read moreteacher, initially coming specifically for some tool kits and a specific clay body. The process was very seamless and fast and felt very much taken care of. Andrew, who helped me, was very knowledgeable with bodies and had I had more time I would have liked to have seen more of the site. I walked out with a sufficient amount of tools to get my program off the ground and the clay I really wanted. As Andrew assisted in loading my car, we saw a very injured bird (in this very packed parking lot). It was so disturbing how broken the wing was that I got on the phone several minutes later to find a rescue volunteer or find a way to take it home with me. I was told that there had just been a call placed in Syracuse with the same description and that it might be the same bird. On revisiting the parking lot, hoping to find the "girl from WA" who I was told caught it, we happened to see Andrew again and asked if he might know if it was scooped up. He smiled and said that they were the ones that caught it and it was off to be cared for. These are the kinds of people you want to do business with. My heart just swelled and I could drive back home feeling we did everything we could and what caring people run this place. I will be back again! I'm actually very surprised I am the first to leave a review as Clayscapes has been verbally recommended many times over since it has been about 20 years since I've bought clay in Upstate NY. I hope more follow suit!

The woman at the front desk whom I presume is the owner was pleasant, knowledgeable, and was wearing a mask! In addition to raw crystals, there is a nice selection of tumbled crystals, crystal points, books, cards, incense, essential oils, a small variety of jewelry, tapestries, and I'm sure various other items I'm forgetting to mention. When I mentioned that what I was looking for was used for cleansing spirits and such she googled it and came back like "OH! I've seen a Shaman use this I totally know what it is" like ok girl. No huge complaints I just wish that one clerk wasn't so obtuse considering spirituality isn't cut and dry. If you don't know about something, that doesn't mean it doesn't actually exist. But again, it was just her that one time. Any other time I love the women in there and they're always warm and helpful.

Her knowledge, patience and graciousness were very evident. She was warm and inviting and the three of us had a wonderful time. This was the perfect thing to do together. We each got to work on our piece, laugh, gab, and catch up. I would highly recommend this activity. It was a great introduction to stained glass. I would come back in a heartbeat!

was hired for my mothers residential property to simply untangle her (40ft) flag pole. they brought…read morea tall ladder and 2 men. they were at her property for 30 min or less and they charged us for "four hours" or labor. when questioned they said that had came out earlier in the morning (nobody was there and flag is not accessible or visible from anywhere other than the backyard itself) - and then added "drive time" to and from their shop that is a 10 min drive... apparently that equals out to be 4 hours. we have camera footage showing when they came and left. my mom was verbally quoted "about 40-60$) and got a bill for almost $300. All their answer was is "you clearly don't know how running a business works" . DO NOT recommend. save your money and put up your own ladder!

They pack in a bunch for a small space but it's still relatively easy to see everything. They have a wide variety of supplies, though they lean towards crafting - scrap booking paper, stencils, stickers, drawing pads, colored pencil, old wallpaper books, crafting books, ribbon, yarn, beads (I heard the beads move fast), acrylic paint, embroidery thread, fabric (limited), ribbon, wreathing making, clothespins, faux flowers, and I am sure way more I'm forgetting. There is a workshop/classroom space in the back for classes they host, and a teacher's closet for school teachers to check out. For parents visiting the store the owner set up a kid's table where they can draw while parents look around. Car parking - there's a few spaces out front and more in the back. The location is on a bus line. No bike parking that I noticed in the area so you would need to get creative with your lock ups. Their hours are limited as of my writing this so check their socials before you go to be safe. I had a great visit and would strongly encourage others to go check it out!

This building is dedicated to an an eclectic group of artists specializing in various media. They…read morerent space to artists who display works and even may teach classes. The artists are excited to be there. The media forms range from pottery and photography to jewelry and woodworking. It is almost like a museum where each studio room discloses vast difference from the last. If the artists aren't there, they usually have cards to set up appointments. I went during the Holiday Open Studios pop up event on 12/6. I look forward to attending future events there or maybe even booking a class???
