Giving this place a 1 star for absolutely lying to me. I called to ask if they took my dental insurance and they said yes. I went ahead and booked a visit for wisdom teeth to be looked at and a cleaning. Everything went well. I asked multiple times if the procedure was covered and they assured me it was. I proceed with another appointment to extract my wisdom teeth. I called leading up to confirm to make sure everything was OK. The day before they proceed to tell me that I'm not in network and I must pay 350 per tooth. I was only told this because I was overwhelmed with the thought of the procedure and I called yet again to ask questions. Why would they lie to me and say they take my insurance when they didn't. Why wasn't I notified about the price. I was veryyyy disappointed in this dental office I thought I found a good place. But apparently they are liars and just want to get you in the door. read more

Do not do business with this dental office. I have had several problems with inferior dental work and fraudulent insurance claims with this office. Every major dental work had to be redone and still trying to correct their last miscoding. Bay Ridge Management Corp., Cosmetic & Implant center, Dmitry Epelboym located at 7708nFourth Ave., Brooklyn NY 11209 sent Delta Denta Insurancel a claim using code D5213 Maxillary partial denture- cast metal framework with resin denture bases (including any conventional clasps, rests and teeth) for service date 9/08/2014. Dritry Epelboym knows that this does not describe my partial. Mine has no metal and seems to be made entirely of nylon or acrylic-vinyl material made for only one side of the arch. The partial Dmitry Epelboym made for teeth 3,4,5 is a Nesbit. The correct code for the Nesbit provided me by Cosmetic & Implant Center is D1520 (space maintainer- removable - unilateral) only on one side of the arch. Delta Dental states that they already paid Dmitry Epelboym of Bay Ridge Management Corporation $750. I had to ask the dentist to correct the code. I did but have not heard from them. I was not aware of the problem until November 2017, when I received a pretreatment denial Claim for my damaged bridge teeth on the opposite side of the arch. Which says I am responsible for the entire $2250 instead of %50 or $1125. This misinformation of code D5213 has prevented me from filing a claim on any work on the same arch. Although my Nesbit is only on one side of the arch. DELTA DENTAL DENTIST HANDBOOK states under Prosthodontics- Removable codes (D5000-D5899) 19: Placement of a removable partial denture and a fixed bridge for the same arch will not be considered for benefit allowance. Use of a code using these numbers is the problem. Maybe this office and Dr. Dmitry Epelboym has a high rating is because this office does not charge airline employees a co-pay for their dental services. Their office is always packed with airline employees from Atlanta, Detroit and other areas. Do not do business with this dental office. Dr.Dmitry Epelboym, DDS is the main Dentist in this practice and has another Yelp account. If you were to look at those reviews, you would see 4.5 stars average rating. Cosmetic Dentistry Center is a very clean and well-managed place, with professional staff and professional, knowledgeable, excellent Doctors. I have had the appointments with Dr.Epelboym and Dr.Keda, both were great! Knowledgeable, patient, caring, clean, professional. They do offer coffee, phone charging station, water and free lunch for those who is long distance. And it's a positive :) not a negative thing... My 18y.o. son had an awful experience in this medical practice. He had an appointment for cleaning scheduled for 9 A.M. and left the after 3 hours of waiting. He had 7 xrays (including an unnecessary panoramic xray) and the only interaction he had with a doctor in those 3 hours was when a doctor came, looked at the scans, quickly examined him, and left him to wait again. With COVID still running rampant, I feel it's unacceptable to schedule so many patients that it takes so obscenely long to be properly treated. There were no apologies from the office. On top of that, when I stopped by to complain about the wait time and the unnecessary (in my opinion) panoramic xray, I had to tell the office manager to put on a face mask twice before she complied. read more

Hey hey!!! So recently I went to the Cosmetic Dentristry Center in Brooklyn for a consultation for two dental implants. Upon calling they gave me information in regards to the days/hours I could drop in and the complimentary transportation to and from the airport. A few days later I decided to catch a flight from TPA to LGA for my consultation. As soon as I landed, I texted the driver as instructed and by the time I made it to ground transportation, he was there. Once I arrived at the Dentistry Center, I was checked in and seen within a few minutes. Multiple X-rays were completed before I was introduced to the Dr. Michael, who was very nice and informative. After my consultation I was greeted by Kate who was so sweet and accommodating. We discussed how much I would have to pay out of pocket after my insurance. That same day Dr. Michael sent me to their hygienist for my bi-annual teeth cleaning and proceeded to start my implant journey. I was so shocked that I was actually starting that day as I assumed I was only coming in for a consultation. Once everything was all cleaned up, he placed the hardware and covered the site with dissolvable stitches. Before returning back to the airport I was given a goodie bag of dental treats, antibiotics, and pain meds for the next 24 hours. I am to return in 6 months when the incision sites are completely healed and the hardware is fused to the bone. At that time they'll take impressions for the actual implants and in two weeks I will return to get the implants placed. read more

This place irked me. I'm 18 years old and I made an appointment as early as possible for my mother who had her front tooth knocked out. There was a mishap with our dental and medical insurance getting mixed up and as I was trying to figure out what to do and what information I needed my mother felt faint and laid down. I know that it looks odd to maybe someone who just happens to walk in but I'm trying my best to help my mom and get insurance information. Then a lady who I believe was the office manager comes in she asks very loudly "who is that lady" when the receptionists said she was a new patient she was being very rude asking what her name was and if she was with anyone. Which at that point I understood her confusion, I don't care about that. However, when the receptionist pointed out that I was the one with her I got up and tried to explain what was happening, why my mom was there, and that she felt faint and I was trying to get our insurance together, she kicked us out. I would be more understanding if she kicked us out by saying that she needs to get better first and then come back when she may have eaten something and is overall better and not dizzy or nauseous. However, she kept telling me "take her to the hospital, take her out, take her to the doctor" and "you can't stay here" and then made the point of not coming back very clear by giving my moms filled out paperwork back to me and rushing us out. Also, the receptionist was very nice. The one lady who took my moms paperwork was trying to help me with any information we needed. So I wanted to thank her for her help. Another point is that now I'm looking at some of the yelp reviews which are claiming that this office has committed or tried to commit some insurance fraud which I find very interesting. I think if anyone who has been scammed maybe the past reviewers can go and file a complaint with the better business bureau. Just got robbed in this dentist office, do not go here! I was called repeatedly about coming for 6 month cleaning and I explained that I just moved out of Brooklyn...woman convinced me to come after she heard I still worked in Brooklyn, okay fine. I drove in for my appointment and was sent to see the dentist although I had only scheduled a cleaning. Sat in the chair and the dentist looked in my mouth and said all was fine we didn't need X-rays since we did them recently. I was in the chair for all around 30-45 seconds!!! They sent me downstairs where the hygienist is to do the cleaning. The receptionist came downstairs and told me that she noticed I did not have insurance. I explained that nothing had changed, that is correct. She then proceeds to tell me that the cleaning will be $200 since I'm not insured....not sure what that meant exactly but anyway....I told he absolutely not I wasn't paying 200 for a hygienist to clean!!!! She said, "well you have to pay the 'consultation' fee of $35. I said fine, I will never come back to this office again. She took my credit card and ran it...while she was doing that I vented that she was charging me $35 for 30 secs in the dentist chair.....she then tells me "No, that is $75!!!" Needless to say I was pissed off and asked to speak to the manager.....of course the manager just happened to not be there....lol....cant make this up. This is a place to stay away from and its a shame because the one time I did come in to see the dentist, he was fantastic....sometimes the office and how its run can just ruin a good thing! read more

Dr Michael was extremely patient with me (I have a huge fear of needles/low tolerance for pain) and made me feel super comfortable. I had a molar extracted and it was totally painless. Seriously, zero pain and it took less than 10 mns. The admin is also very welcoming and courteous. I will definitely come back for any oral issue I may have. Highly recommend it. Doesn't respect the disabled. Doesn't take precautions during Covid pandemic. Doctors were extremely rude and disrespectful! I was very disappointed! No accommodations for the Susanne. If you're in wheelchair or have trouble getting up states Don't bother going there. ADA (American disability act) was notified and this is against the law. Staff unprofessional and I will not be going there ever again. read more

Awesome experience. I love the fact that I didn't have to wait two weeks for my replacement crown. It was done same day. Took some time but worth the wait. After shopping around for dentists I am sooo glad I was recommended to this place. The staff and professionals here are amazing! From beginning to end they are caring and genuinely sweet people. Unreputable and shockingly unprofessional. I had my teeth whitened in 2018 and I was satisfied with the results. I made a second appointment in December of 2020. When I arrived, they apologized but they did not have someone available for the procedure. They called someone to come in and then offered me a discount that I did not ask for because I had to wait for her to arrive. After the session I did not notice much difference, but the technician said it would take a few days. I subsequently learned that I should have had four 15-minute whitening sessions instead of the three I received. When I called to address the issue, they told me that the technician would have to call me back. She never did. I called a second time. Same thing, no call back. I called a third time and the office manager told me that I would have to pay for another session, and she told me that after addressing the issue with the owner, or so she reported. One of their own technicians who I spoke with before speaking with the office manager told me that without four sessions the results cannot be achieved. The practice is a madhouse and obviously successful, but if you want to deal with a dental office that stands behind its work and values its reputation, do not consider dealing with the Cosmetic Dentistry Center. read more

I strongly believe they are running some type of insurance scam here! They offer services that your insurance doesn't cover but will tell you don't worry about it and they'll pick you up at the airport and take you back. There are signs that provide lunch for out of towners too! I came here with my mom who does NOT have insurance and wanted dental implants, they told her her that in order to do this they would have to pull 7 of her teeth and give her treatment as well as temporary dentures.. they charged close to $3000 but they said it was all apart of the process for dental implants. After the treatment, they said it would be a couple of months before they could start work on implants to give her mouth time to heal. Well, we came there Tuesday after about 8months and they told her they would not be able to do full dental implants after all, but partial and dentures with it. After being upset(as this was not what was agreed upon initially)we finally agreed, only to be told that she would need additional services before they could even discuss doing partial with dentures and tried to usher me into billing office to take more $$$$$ AND they said after all that they still might not be able to do it. Needless to say I completely lost it. They are incredibly rude, ALL they want is your $$$ but they do absolutely nothing, instead they give you the run around. It has been an absolute nightmare for my mother, I mean they pulled 7 of her teeth, gave her oversized dentures and she's lost 20lbs on her 4"11 frame these past 8months and it was ALL for nothing! Do not go here and do not be fooled like we were about this place. Aesthetically the office looks nice but that's all apart of the scam.. no matter what they tell you get a second opinion elsewhere before proceeding with any procedure here! read more
