Been to this place twice now, had Juliet cut my hair both times. very well cut and thorough with the scissors and buzzer. Straight razor around all the edges to make them sharp and cleaned up the neckline and beard with the straight razor as well. A hot towel wrap around the face and a hand massage. I make sure to wash my hair and not put any product in it before going in, and end with the wash so im not walking around shedding hair clippings for the rest of the day. From the minute I walked in everyone is so nice and inviting. The place was packed at 9am (the time they open) so you know they are doing something right! This place is definitely a guy's place. I have been looking for a place like this for a long time. I managed to find it in my home town. Cory cuts my hair exactly how I want it, and there's great luxurious details to the cut as well, such as straight razor edges with hot shaving cream, hot face towel, and a hand massage from a pretty gal. I've been going to Cory Mathews since their days in Roselle. Having moved out of the area I've been searching for a reasonably priced, quality haircut like I get at Cory's and am yet to find one better. The staff is helpful, entertaining, and talented which makes for a great experience. I am extremely pleased with my cut every time I leave, and the hot towel/hand massage at the end of every cut is a nice touch. I drive 45 minutes here whenever I need a quality haircut. This is my go to shop for haircuts. The work is top level and the prices are reasonable for the quality of the work. I have had cuts and shaves by Michelle and Juliet and they are both outstanding at what they do. I have seen Cory and the other barbers work as well it is all on point. We even drive a half hour to get my sons hair cut here they do an awesome job on kids and teen cuts including straight razor hard parts. BEST BARBER SHOP HANDS DOWN!! I've had my hair cut from tons of barbers all over Northern NJ and NY and Juliet is by far the best barber I've ever had. She has great attention to detail and takes extreme pride in what she does. Ever since I've been coming here I've received tons of compliments from friends and family. Along with her great skill, she offers useful tips on ways to manage and improve your style. The overall experience of the barbershop is also a huge plus. They rarely make you wait for your appointment... not that you would mind since you have 4 TVs and stacks of magazines to keep you entertained. The barbers are kind of yung, immature and during my first cut one of them used some seriously questionable language to make wise cracks about Cranford's flood last year. Maybe I'm just sensitive to that 'cuz I got blasted by the flood. The next time the guy made me wait over 5 minutes while he smoked and talked on the phone outside. Worst haircut I've ever had. The lady in the back right was my barber. Did not listen to a word I said. Asked for a low fade. Instead she tried to give me one of these faddish David Beckham style haircuts. She also shaved my side burns to high. Way over priced for the hair cut received. She needs to learn how to listen to customers. I should've charged her for the disservice she did to my hair. If you see a guy around town and wonder Wow that's a messed up haircut...that's me. Went here for a cleanup shave because they could squeeze me in. I heard good things but shave was just okay and I got nicked twice. What causes me to write this review is that my guy decided to eat a slice of pizza in my face while cleaning up my beard. His boss/colleague next to him even joked that he was eating food in his customer's face! WTF! Correct your employee man! I could hear him chew, smell sauce and cheese and simply wondered if a crumb or two would fall into my mouth. He was like 3-4 inches from my face. Ugh. Gross. I made an appointment on a Saturday in August for the following Tuesday. Came Tuesday, I showed up for my appointment and no one was in the shop. I walked in and the door was opened it was dark and no one was there. I hung around for a while and realized I should probably go home. No one bothered to give call me back to reschedule or anything or even called beforehand to say no one would be there. I was going to come back if anyone had call back but since no one bothered, I guess they don't want my business. So, I went to another barbershop around the corner.
