I had the most bangin' experience (pun intended, I got bangs) with Stefanie Cuesta at her downtown…read moresalon. Basically, Stefanie is the high priestess of hair. I've come to her before, but stupidly cheated on her with other stylists, but have since learned from my mistakes (cause I am an idiot - they were fine, but they were not Stefanie). My experience this time (per usual) was perfect, I was limited on time, so I asked to cut down on post cut-styling -- this is normally the buffer stylists use so you leave the salon looking fabulous (hide the flaws in the curls!) anyways, but when you try to recreate it at home, you look more like Dudley Moore than Demi Moore. But thanks to my perfect cut and rough-ish blow dry (Stef is a perfectionist and was not too keen on my rough dry request) - even with the abbreviated appointment, I left the salon looking pretty darn polished, and when I blew dry my hair the next day (7-minutes), it looked just as a good -- and I have a feeling that it will grow out really well too - from blunt Zooey Deschanel bangs to a curtain banged, Joni Mitchell listening, high-waisted jeans loving vibe. I'll post a photo when I can convince myself to change out of sweatpants.

I can't straighten it, cause then it looks too think. It's just been really hard to find someone to cut it, without it being a traumatic experience. So, it got to the point, where I was cutting myself after checking out what to do on You Tube. Then, someone suggested Jill, so I figured Ill go. It was the least eventful haircut I've had. I knew how long it was going to be as she cut it. I didn't need to cut it home, because the adjustments are part of the dry cut. It looks really nice and it's really easy. No drama. Easy. Awesome. .

Hell...we are assuming a risk by merely going to the grocery store (not all of us use instacart ok) I booked with Stefanie assuming this risk because I was desperate for my hair to be fixed and I knew that I had been safe at home for weeks. Upon receiving my services from Stefanie after a whole year of no hair cuts or color, boy did she make me feel comfortable! Her sanitation procedures were thorough and not only that...my hair came out AMAZING (as usual). I have nothing but amazing things to say about Stefanie. She is a bada$$ working mom who knows her stuff!! I can tell through her service that she wants nothing more than to serve her clients in the best ways that she can during a tough time in the world. Can you say selfless? Certain "karens" may not take responsibility for the risk they may be assuming by going out and about literally ANYWHERE during a pandemic--but my best advice for those people is: just stay home until things go back to "normal" (what is normal anyway am i right?). Our service industry workers deserve our love and support during this time and I would 11 out of 10 recommend Stefanie to do your color/cut/style. She's the ONLY one that I would trust!!
