I was so infuriated... So here I was looking like a golden skunk and my hair is breaking from being over processed. I called so many salons nobody has same day appointment... until I called Lavish Salon and Sara was able to accommodate me at such a late notice. I walked in the Salon an hour early and right away I was greeted with such a beautiful welcoming smile from Sara. Sara was still taking care of another client but once she was done, she checked my hair and assessed it and told me what's the best way to make my hair look better eighth damaging it even more. She even explained to me how color works and how color pigmentation works with different kinds of hair texture. Anyway, Sara corrected the color on my roots and pretty much made me look like a person again... not the golden skunk I was looking like when I first came in. Sara was very gentle with handling my super damaged hair as well and she gave me pointers as well on how to take care of my damaged hair. But, with no understanding that she is being interviewed. She had to prove herself especially when it is a very saturated field. When I met her I told her what I had been thru and what I needed and wanted from a hair professional...... I also let her know the ONLY REASON I was looking for a person was because mine got very sick and had to retire. I never saw her license and when I asked how long she had been doing hair her professional response was since I was 13...... ? Soooo....... ( I was not going to be rude and ask how old are you) You wld think I wld have rcvd a professional answer ( meaning other things she could hv said) I will leave it at that. Alexis resume was to talk loudly and badly about other stylist and that she does hair on sets. Alexis told me my hair was damaged and broken but not to worry she was going to fix it. She literally cut all my hair off basically!!! Not a trim but cut it unevenly off. I was in disbelief. I cried on the spot. She blamed my previous stylist who had my hair growing and doing well. I have been wearing protective styles for a year. It's too long to go into...... But, the tears were not purely over the loss of hair. I survived CANCER LOSING MY HAIR AND IT GREW BACK. I'm not my hair. But, this Alexis her attitude was so cavalier and dismissive. She unevenly cut off all my hair washed it blow dried it and tied a scarf around it. IM COMPLETELY SERIOUS!!! And she was rushing me out for her next client when I was shaken and had questions!!! I was charged $85.00 for this.? I went there to have my weave taken down , a retouch, wash n condition and style a protein treatment that she suggested but decided after she cut my hair .... She would do it my next visit She put on her website all these things she did to my hair. A COMPLETE LIE!! And depending on the type of hair a person has you cut there hair wet and straight or dry n straight. Not right after you takeout the weave and there is 3 inches of new growth and the hair is crinkly from the braids just taken out. Even I know that. ITS TOO MUCH!!! To much to really explain in this already long review... BUT STAY AWAY FROM THIS GIRL!! DONT LET HER ANYWHERE NEAR YOUR HAIR!!! An unprofessional FRAUD. My belief in a higher power, myself and that it's just hair is what is getting me thru this awful experience. Life is unpredictable. I know all to well.
