I booked an appointment at Salon Glo after seeing an Instagram promotion for a Russian manicure at a discounted price of $55. Initially, the manicure done by Alana was great, and I was very happy with the results. However, within less than 24 hours, one of my nails peeled off, and another chipped. When I reached out for a fix, I was told I could come back the next day for a fix, but during that visit, they suggested that I had broken the nail myself, which wasn't the case. The communication was difficult due to a language barrier, and I felt that my concerns about the quality and the reasons behind the peeling were not adequately addressed. I was late to my correction appointment due to being held up at work however the options they were providing to rectify my unsatisfactory experience were very black and white- they were not offering flexible times, I was offered 2 time slots on a day I had already stated I couldn't come in due to work. The staff was not very helpful in offering a proper solution, and even after the "fixes", the nails continued to peel and chip, which was extremely disappointing. The final straw was at my third appointment for correction when I was told I was being charged for additional nail repairs without being informed beforehand. I felt that the lack of transparency and poor communication throughout the entire process was unacceptable. While the final manicure, done by a different technician, was good, the overall experience left a lot to be desired. I would not recommend this salon and will not be returning. I also want to add that when I had to come back the first time for a correction and was very obviously not happy, I told the receptionist Alisa I wanted to cancel the next appointment I had pre booked- to which she told me that due to the inconvenience, they want to offer me 10% off of my next appointment... WHAT A JOKE! 10% off my next appointment is an absolute slap in the face to a customer who has been entirely inconvenienced by the poor work done on my nails. I wanted to love this place because it is conveniently located just 5 minutes from my house and has plenty of parking but wow what a terrible experience. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone unless you want to be inconvenienced by multiple days/ hours and constantly feel like you are being talked about/laughed at in another language by the technicians and receptionist. read more
