There are picnic tables and bbqs throughout the park, a track lines the perimeter and there's also a vending machine library. I really enjoy walking my dog there. They recently added one of those cool library vending machines, and I love that touch--it makes the park feel even more welcoming and community-focused. The playground is great, the baseball fields are well-kept, and it's the perfect place to walk, relax, or hang out with family. It's definitely my favorite park in the area. If I had one suggestion, it would be to add a trash can and hand dryers inside the restroom. Other than that, I just hope people continue to take care of it--it's such a beautiful space and it deserves to stay that way!

There is a fee per day/per car ($15 as of this writing), so plan accordingly. While I didn't camp, I did see some stunning campsites right next to the water and in beautiful condition. Lots of great hiking spots, lots of folks fishing and overall a wonderful atmosphere. There's even a Frisbee golf course. Very clean and well-maintained. Parking is included in the entrance fee. The hike down is beautiful with wide desert views. Just remember: going back up is a workout. Bring plenty of water and be ready for sun. The hot springs themselves are awesome--several warm pools and the cold creek right next to them. It can get busy, but still really relaxing. Overall, a great adventure spot if you're up for a tougher hike. Would definitely go again.

All this people running for office need to realize Victorville is reach in big families and culture, we need better family outings and this calls for nice bigger parks and recreations. At $8.00 per fish, it was pricey. But......We were paying for the experience. He loves fishing. We would have paid $$$ to go to an amusement park and the memories wouldn't have been the same. All the staff was terrific. The only negative is, it is a little run down.

THE spot for rock climbers and hikers of the high desert. It's not for the faint at heart when…read moretaking it to the top. However, you can still enjoy a moderate hike with family and less able folks. There really is no specific route when approaching this gem. Pick a direction and go for it, it's natures jungle gym. For the lighter hike you will want to park at the base near the BMX track. To the right of the water tower there is a beaten trail which is, if you choose, the hardest part of the hike. After you peak you have the option of adventuring through large boulders with small caverns or sticking off to the left for a more flat surface. I started my 3 little boys on this hike a couple years ago when they were 3 and 4. So that should give you an idea of the capability. Additionally, this is where I take my adult friends to put their money where their mouth is and push their limits. Great place! BBQ pits and small playground here too.
