I am so thankful I found Jan! She is a miracle worker…read more I suffer from a disease called ankylosing spondylitis that attacks the spine, SI joints, neck, ribs, GI tract, and internal organs. In advanced cases this disease fuses the vertebrae in the spine together, causing a hunchback and shrinking. Lucky me, I have a very advanced case of this disease at age 35, with a large portion of my spine now fused together, and a dreadful posture. Yet Jan is still able to dig deep, release years of tension and pain from my body and muscles, so that I leave feeling lighter and taller each time. I so wish I discovered rolfing and Jan 15 years ago, when this disease started to take over my body. But I am just so thankful I have at least found her now!! I have been to a couple other rolfers who were nice and did good work, but Jan is the only one I would recommend with a glowing review. She goes deep, and gives you all she's got each session. I like to say its a treatment that "hurts so good". (Though if you are worried about healing pain, she will only go as deep as your want her to, its not anything to be scared of, it feels so, so, so good to release muscle and fascia tension, I just love it!!) Jan is very conscious about responding to your body. I just appreciate how much energy she puts into her practice. Seriously the best body work I have ever had in my life.
