He suggested some changes to the top floor which we took his advice on, but not his design. We paid him extra for this change. I hired him to draft not redesign and he kept changing small things to his artistic eye and I would ask him to change it back. This back and forth cost him a lot of time. So either he flat out made mistakes that we had to ask him to change or he intentionally changed them to suit his artistic preference. He knew I was in a hurry so the I told him I would approve this now so I could get the digital copy over to the structural engineer but that I reserved the right to ask for fixes to his errors. A week later I found a big error that I should have seen, but I was looking at the details, it was my wife that noticed that he put a 3 foot Eave on the north wall. This Eave was not on the set of plans that I gave him nor on the renders that I gave him as examples. But he made this change anyway and I didn't notice and he would not fix it after approval. He added his copyright to my drawing and I told him to remove it and I think that's what set him off. He removed he copyright from my design but he wont fix the error after I paid him. I wont work with him again and would not recommend his discount services. To get really good quality work at good prices I recommend Fiverr.

He was super easy to work with and allowed me to make many changes, big and small, as we tweaked the design. Very reasonable pricing compared to what those outrageous architects charge. Not to mention, I'm in Arizona and he's in Utah, but it was still a very seamless process. I would highly recommend BH Home Design for all of your design/draftsman needs! Thanks Brian!

I brought on this office for landscaping…read moreand exterior modification, and it turned out to be the biggest nightmare of my multi-million dollar project. After our initial call, where I clearly outlined my vision for a modern design, my needs, and my budget, Romy Creative failed me in every aspect of the project. Never sign an hourly rate contract with them, as they will start billing without paying attention to your needs and requirements. The architect canceled the first two meetings and then showed up with a 3D design featuring a Stone Age waterfall instead of the modern concept I requested, and placed a basketball court right in front of the living area. When I questioned why he proceeded with a 3D design without even getting my approval on the 2D concept, he played on my sympathies, saying I spent a lot of time and I have hourly contract and my family needs this money, assuring me that if I paid his bill, he would make all necessary changes. Feeling bad, I made the payment, trusting he would follow through. Instead, he made one minor modification to the 2D design ( which again sent me another bill and I paid) and never finished the 3D work. When I questioned the high engineering costs for the pool and mentioned I would use my own engineer, and also chose not to involve him in a second house project due to unfair hourly rates, he became upset but assured me he will have five hours work to finished job. Then he disappeared after weeks of follow-ups, he informed me that he 'fired' me, leaving me almost $5,000 out of pocket with no final design. No contractor could use his 2D concept to quote me. Ultimately, I had to hire another firm, which delivered a perfect design with professionalism. However, I lost significant time and money along the way.
