Jairo was easy to get in touch with and arrived early for the repairs. He showed a lot of care in his work and he made sure I was satisfied with the repair before packing up for the day. Both carpet repaired areas look brand new now and match my other carpet areas again. If you have ever shopped around for flooring of any kind, you know how expensive it is. We found Bob Wilson of Wilson flooring to be extremely knowledgeable about all types of flooring. We recently purchased flooring from him for our home. If you are shopping for wood, you know how expensive it can be. Many places with big signs and fancy names with ads on TV will take full advantage of you. We found other places to be twice as much as we paid with Wilson flooring. If you are shopping for flooring in Houston, you owe it to yourself to call Bob. His warehouse is located approximately one mile east of the Gulf Freeway on Fuqua. You will have a tough time find ing better pricing for your flooring needs. Now, lets talk about installation. You can buy all the flooring you need and do it yourself or hire your own installers. We used his preferred installers and I am thankful we did. His preferred installers came to our home and did a masterful job of installing the engineered hardwood we had purchased. The installers used the absolute minimum number of transitions between the types of flooring (e.g. when transitioning from wood to carpet or tile). Also, even though they installed the wood through a doorway, around an island in the kitchen and joined it back together in the dining area/living area, they did not use a transition. This is a sign of an installer that knows what they are doing. Wilson flooring has multiple preferred installers depending upon the type of flooring you are purchasing. We purchased engineered hardwood but he also has vinyl flooring, various types of tile, and carpeting. If you are looking for new floors, you owe it to yourself to at least talk to Wilson Flooring before making a decision. We are extremely happy we did. Important note: Wilson flooring does not take credit cards. Cash or Check only. Please take a moment to look at the pictures of our home after the installation.

They had many samples to choose from and held them at their warehouse free of charge until I was ready to pick them up. I have my own contractor that I use to install the floors. In the midst of our research of local shops we landed in the Floors for Living on 518 near Pearland Parkway on October 6th. Joel, the store manager, spoke with us about some options, gave us a rough estimate based on the information we provided, and then took our information to follow up with us over the next week. When he called to follow up several days later, we informed him that Floors for Living was still one of our top contenders, but that we were waiting for some additional estimates. We went back to the store again that Friday, October 11th (Joel was not there) and spoke with a helpful salesperson to help us narrow down flooring options and ask some additional questions. This gentleman was extremely helpful, and we even heard him working with another couple and clarify to them that in coming out to measure their home, they were in no way wasting anyone's time and that it was a complimentary service and not a commitment to move forward with Floors for Living. We then returned to speak with Joel that Sunday (10/13) after deciding on the exact product we wanted and get pricing based on this. Joel said he could get pricing on the product and offered to set an appointment to come out and measure to ensure his numbers were accurate - we set up for him to come out that Tuesday (10/15) after we got home from work. Joel came to our home and measured. After he was finished, we went over the numbers and I asked him what the next steps were if we decide to move forward. He looked a bit bewildered and held out the form and indicated that I sign the form. I reminded him that we were still waiting on one additional quote from a company my in-laws have used for over 20 years, but that we would have a decision for him in the next day or so. The look that came across Joel's face was that of utter disgust. He then stated that this was "not what he understood" and then pretty much got out of our house as quickly as he could. On that Thursday, he text my husband about updated pricing. My husband and I reviewed the two companies we were deciding between (still including Joel's quote despite his attitude at our home). We decided upon the other company, but that we would likely use Floors for Living to replace our carpeting in our four bedrooms during the first half of next year. My husband responded informing Joel of our decision, to which he received the response (typo's and all) "I do not appreciate you telling me you were good with the price on the phone. You are a liar. If you really want carpet then you measure it and walk in my fromt door with you credit card in hand". Well, needless to say we will not be using Floors for Living ever and have also shared the information with all of our friends and family about the horrid way that Joel treated us. Of course, it is okay to be disappointed when you don't close a sale, but to be hostile to folks who invested just as much time to make the appropriate decision on a reputable company? This absolutely blows my mind. I attempted to reach out to their corporate number and left a message but have yet to receive any response. I guess that speaks to the integrity of the company itself. We will happily take our money elsewhere.
