When I called the Surgery Center to complain about my hurtful treatment by my nurse I spoke to a very nice nurse at first. Then the nurse manager called me with a bad attitude to start with then she basically said I was lying. I think if they have cameras in the surgery room etc. it would prove I'm telling the truth. Not sure how far I will take this complaint but the abusive nurse and manager should lose their jobs.

My issue is the treatment and associated costs. The office sold me an an sleeve for support and boot to stretch my Achellis. The sleeve did not help and the boot only hurt me. I brought the boot in the have him examine the way I was using it. He had no input and I set it on the shelf. He also suggested that I under go shockwave therapy. 5 treatments for about $600 with one free, so it was a 6 treatment plan. I got no relief from the session and stopped them after 4. I had expected a refund for 2 sessions but the office said I was only entitled to a refund for 1 as the last one would be free. There is the real rub. First I had to decide to stop treatment (I think he should of stopped it after the second) and I was charged out of pocket for 4 treatments when it should of been 3. Bottom line: sold me on a bunch of treatments that did not work and I'm out about $600 plus whatever they charged my insurance.

He was very dismissive and said since we drove from Redding to Chico to see him he feels that drive is to far to see him and we shouldn't make anymore appointments with him. I suffered a bilateral pulmonary embolism in November and need to be monitored. So now my Dr has put in a referral to UC DAVIS pulmonologist. I have to travel out of town to see good doctors.

I wanted to do 2 stars but I couldnt…read more Doc I am sure is competent but should be retired. Front office staff is very upset/abrupt/annoyed that you are there to be a patient. Doc didnt explain the chain of events or what he was going to be doing to my very private parts. I got phone called with results but was unclear what those results were. i called back and got a machine and left message with service that i wanted results mailed. I got a return message from staff saying..."thats not how it works" oh-and it was not cheap. and no payment plans offered at all unlike EVERY other doctor I have ever went to.
