Rick absolutely does not stand by his work. Rick attempts to play politics among neighbors and gets…read morehimself in the middle of disputes when in fact he should only be a landscaper and do the job that each person pays him to do. Regarding the work he actually did, he did most of it very well. I hired him to do a major removal of almost a half acre of ivy plus 7 or eight large trees and he did all of that well. Unfortunately once the major work was complete, he seemed to feel like my usefulness to him as a client was no longer as lucrative and he started ignoring my needs and concerns. Following the removal of the ivy I asked him to prepare the yard for a new grass using fertilizer and topsoil along with seeding so that I would get a very nice lawn. Rick decided all on his own that a very sparse covering of fertilizer plus seed would do the job eventually and that I should just wait for the Lawn to come through using his theory. Of course it did not work out as he said and three months later all I had was 75% weed and hardly any real grass growth. When I asked him about it I asked him why he did not use topsoil and what else could be done to bring in the lawn that I originally requested. His response was "sorry you're not satisfied I'll take you off my list". Rick absolutely does not stand by his work

Taking one star off. I just went through the renewal process with A&M which soured my experience…read moreand ended up ending our relationship. Despite my contract from last year citing an expectation for a 2% annual increase, I got a ~25% rate hike. The woman I worked with was not kind and not willing to help me understand where this came from. I ended up finding the owners email and was able to reach out to them to try to learn more and find a more reasonable solution, but even going over their new math, it still didn't make sense, and still had me over 20% higher than last year for the same work. They cited that I was charged incorrect last season (despite having their invoices with exact man-hour times spent and their own provided labor rate). Additionally, the new contract (which I did not sign) created new clauses in the fineprint to do price hikes in subsequent years without needing a reason. So disappointed, but I'm not comfortable going into contract with a company that doesn't honor their own contracts, hoping you won't notice.
