Eloisa also recommended I drink beer while having contractions or some shots. Alcohol is a blood thinner so I can't imagine that's a remotely smart recommendation especially if I did end up taking pain medication for labor, as well as it still being able to be ingested by the baby. St Joseph's was actually really great I loved every single nurse and doctor I met and I had such a significantly good experience going there. I was there for 3 days and in the future if I ever have children again I'm going to st Joseph's. The nurses there were so sweet it actually made me sad that I will never see them again I'd recommend st Joseph's 100%. Definitely seems like eloisa is a bit more in it for the money. Which of course a jib is about money but she lacks any passion, Haley was pretty nice but I barely saw her. ​​​​​​

Everything afterward, from the surgery prep to the aftercare was provided clearly and courteously. When I went in for surgery, I was nervous and a little scared. That said, I can't begin to tell you how helpful it was to have staff people who were kind and fun. It just made my heart happy. 'Don' was referred here by his doctor for treatment on his feet to help with severe dystonia that causes severe pain and that making it hard to even walk. His first visit was hopeful as his PT let him know he would be able to help and the first thing they would do is fit him for much needed orthotics. Next visit, PT gave him temporary orthotics and asked him to come back the next morning to receive the new ones that were being made. Next visit, examined his feet, applying pressure at specific areas that were supposed to relax his dystonic feet. When the PT was unsuccessful, he told Don that it was impossible that his feet continued to cramp and thought he was faking it. He then told him he would not be receiving orthotics because the temporary ones had not been as effective as he thought, stating, "There's no way I'm approving these to your insurance as I don't see them medically necessary." As he checked out they gave him a pamphlet on where to buy special orthotics on Amazon. He checked the website and these special orthotics don't even come out on the market for another 5 years. I will spare you the rest of this experience, including voicemails, etc., and Don's refusal to go back. Someone dealing with a neurological disorder that is physically debilitating and misunderstood disorder has a hard time with the social consequences everyday. If you don't have a clue what you are doing, don't blame your patient for your lack of understanding. It can have lasting effects on someone that isn't given a lot of hope.

Steve and Brendan both did a great job of giving me the proper exercise regimen and training to remedy my neck and shoulder pain. They provided the exercises and performance feedback during the session, and clear written instructions for me to follow at home. I followed their suggestions and after a little over a month I can truthfully say that I can't remember the last time I was able to move my neck and head so easily. I also now have the knowledge to allow me to perhaps avoid future issues. Easy, efficient scheduling and a well maintained and clean facility rounded out the experience.
